Noisey
has premiered James Supercave’s new video for “Burn” from the band’s debut album Better Strange out now on Fairfax Recordings. The video also includes the unreleased bonus track "No Pressure," which the band has been performing at their live shows. The video was directed by Alexandre Souetre who told Noisey, “'Burn' served as a collaborative experiment, where personal interpretations came together to form a music video: While the song's meaning had no part in the initial inspiration, crew and talents were often blinded, both physically and conceptually, given very little explanation on context, content and purpose, and yet just enough to connect and work in parallel."Better Strange which was co-produced by Kevin Augunas (Cold War Kids, Nick Waterhouse, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) and the band is available on black vinyl, CD, and digitally. Fans can order the album digitally via iTunes and on vinyl at Amazon. KCRW's Eric J. Lawrence says, "It [Better Strange] is a perfect album title for the band, as they prove themselves masters of the odd angles and off-kilter pop melodies that are littered throughout their record, turning unlikely musical directions into indie gold."James Supercave is on tour now supporting Wild Belle. The tour will make stops in west coast cities including Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more. The band has also announced shows with Big Black Delta, Crystal Castles and a performance at Make Music Pasadena. All upcoming shows are listed below.
