The Warlocks – The 1-2-3-4 Festival, 2009
“THE1-2-3-4 festival has earned a solid reputation that makes it stand out from the seasonal clamour. It brings together a typically east London combo of indie attitude and artiness, not unlike a live action fanzine.” - METRO
“The annual summer festival the east end of London waits for has come upon us once again...It brings to the capital a staggering array of the best underground and wayward acts around, playing alongside international groups and artists of renowned stature.” - NME
“THE1-2-3-4 festival heralds the re-emergence of a DIY subculture it has sparked the return of a non-conformist aesthetic that was prevalent in the punk movement.” - THE INDEPENDENT
On September 3rd East London’s infamous music event THE 1-2-3-4 FESTIVAL is happening again at their new park site - Three Mills Island, Bow, London.
The festival that started in 2007 showcasing early performances by the likes of Florence and the Machine and Crystal Fighters returns after a short hiatus in a new iconic park setting. 1-2-3-4 has teamed up with legendary event producer Rob Hallett and his team of expert facilitators at Robomagic to build on the 1-2-3-4 cult status and create a new, bigger, better festival experience.
Festival partner Rob Hallett says “We’re excited to be working with Sean Mclusky on bringing back the legendary 1-2-3-4 Festival to London, combining exciting emerging acts with established favorites is a recipe completely in keeping with the ethos of Robomagic.”

The now legendary 1-2-3-4 Festival was one of the most important events of the year for the regular London gig goer, fusing the freshest in upcoming bands with some of the biggest contemporary artists of the time. Promoter Sean McLusky started the festival back in 2007 with one plan, to bring together the true originators with the new breed of emerging bands, new artists playing alongside the musicians that inspired them, finding the international artists that still resonate with today’s scene while laying the foundations of the future with the bands of today.1-2-3-4 are also known to organise unique one-off sets, collaborations, reformations and special appearances, so expect the 2016 festival to be full of surprises.
