Works in progress
Hello, Everyone
I thought I'd take this opportunity to let you know about my WIP (works in progress)
Right now, I'm working on two novels: a romantic/suspense, and one I'm unable to put in a particular genre right now. They're both in first draft and untitled, and will be released early 2017. Of course, that may change. I would like to release one of them by the end of the year, but you know how that goes.
The romantic/suspense novel centers around a wealthy French family fighting over control of their beer dynasty after the death of the patriarch. It includes a treasure hunt, and according to the will, whoever finds the family heirloom, a necklace with a gold coin, will inherit the billion dollar company. Somehow, our heroine unknowingly has it in her possession while people are murdering one another to get their hands on it.
The second novel which does not have a genre as of yet, takes place in first century Egypt and spans centuries to the present day. I'm so excited about this one because it's my first story written with an essence of sci-fi and includes an evil mummy named Saltan. It has visitors from another planet, suspense, and romance. So you see why it doesn't have a specific genre. Maybe you can help me when I finish with the synopsis. I'm going to ask you for your help on this, so stay tuned.
I'll be so glad when these two books are finished. For one, I'm eager to release them. And two, I want to get back to reading other authors' works and reviewing them here.
I hope you're all having a nice, warm Spring and Summer. Of course, I'm still looking for that perfect chocolate pie:) And oh--my--goodness! Tennis season is almost here!!!!
