This week's snippet is another snippet from Flowers and Fangs- Nominated for best New Adult book RONE Award.
Chapter 4. This is in Derek's POV.
Quick update from last week: Derek believes Sloane has been infected by her boyfriend, Tim, and is a vampire too. He's a hunter. He eliminates such threats, but he is hesitating because he knew Sloane in high school, though it's been ten years and she doesn't even recognize him. Also she hasn't revealed she's been changed. He's going for a different approach to find out the truth... Derek is speaking first.

"I bet your victims fell for your charms, too." He had to keep her talking until backup showed up. He'd made a call the minute she pulled into her driveway to Wade and Axel, and they were on their way here.
"What are you talking about?" she asked and her brows furrowed. "What victims?"
He almost believed her. "Mr. Wilkins, Mrs. Wilkins…Kylie," he named just to gauge her reaction, give him some clue if she knew what was going on with Tim.
"What happened to Tim's family?
"You and your boyfriend ripped their throats out."
All color drained from her face, making her appear more ghostlike than like a potential vampire as she screamed, "Noooo! You're lying,"
