Analyzing Read an eBook Week
Hi, everyone. "Read an eBook Week" ended yesterday at midnight. I decided to examine some stats, comparing last year to this.
In 2010, my first year participating in RAEW, I had two titles. I offered one for free and one for 50% off. I had three sales across the two titles.
This year, I offered all five of my Smashwords titles for free. I had 130 "sales" during the week, 100 of which were for In The Eye of The Beholder: A Novel of The Phantom of the Opera. This pushed the book into Smashwords' bestseller lists for both historical fiction and romance. I'm very excited about that.
I also downloaded numerous indie books myself and am looking forward to reading them.
