On Wednesday April 20th, icons of punk Descendents performed their first South Bay area show in 20 years at The Standing Room in their hometown, Hermosa Beach, California. The show was an unannounced event for a room of 200 people. Descendents performed a diverse set of classics (and a few new songs) for locals in the small restaurant / bar owned by Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge.
 
Descendents will play at Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas on May 29, Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey on June 11, and September 24 at Picnic in Pozo. More info coming soon on new music fromDescendents.
 
Formed in 1978 Descendents are Karl Alvarez (bass), Milo Aukerman (vocals), Bill Stevenson (drums), and Stephen Egerton (guitar). They have released six studio albums,  Milo Goes to College  (1982),  I Don't Want to Grow Up  (1985),  Enjoy!  (1986),  Everything Sucks  (1996), and  Cool to Be You  (2004).
