So we all have done them, we all know what they are. How do we approach cheat days? And should we have them?
Well first let me say that yes it’s okay to have a cheat day.
Second let me say that doesn’t mean every other day can be a cheat day in fact not even every week should have a cheat day in it. But also know your limits. If having a cheat day brings you down and causes you to start eating more healthy then don’t have them.
But if you are okay with jumping back right on your schedule then don’t be afraid of a cheat day. It’s okay to take them. Honestly on my cheat days I eat less, because I’m so stuffed all the time from eating so many clean calories.
My cheat days are pretty normal just with less food, and then I usually have pizza and some drinks. It’s a nice break. I only have a few hours in a normal day that I’m not eating, and I look forward to those hours so much, and so on my cheat days not having to cram a ton of clean calories in is such a rest for me, and it helps me recharge and hit it hard again.
So if you can respond positively to cheat days, then don’t fear them. Use them sparingly, but don’t be afraid of them.
