"The Manchester, England-reared all-female quartet Pins may be the talk of the indie scene - and look magazine-ready, to boot - but their ascent has been as uncontrived as their fuzzed-out, slightly melancholy sound."-The New York Times"Citing '90s groups like My Bloody Valentine and Jesus and Mary Chain as influences, the band takes a jangly, straight-ahead approach to alternative rock on "Young Girls" --NPR" They're just a very good rock band making very good rock music, taking a familiar stew of influences and just nailing the fuck out of them." --Stereogum"Young Girls," a sunny-day indie shuffler that flows perfectly in time for the gentle winds of spring" --FADER
Still on the heels of their successful second album  Wild Nights,  and amidst an extensive North American tour supporting The Subways, Manchester five-piece PINS have shared a dark, sultry video for track “Trouble” on The Line Of Best Fit.
As the song title suggests-and in true PINS form-the video hints at darkness and danger while simultaneously emitting playfulness, style and addictive guitar work.
The band says of the video: "Trouble is about doing something that feels good even though it might be bad for you. We took a blacked out photography studio and used different props and lenses to reflect that notion. We channelled our darkest thoughts and started rolling. It's dangerous, glitchy and distorted. You only ever get a glimpse. But you can't help but watch."
PINS earlier this year released their standout second album  Wild Nights , receiving great acclaim across media in the UK and US. The album was recorded in Joshua Tree at Rancho De La Luna with Dave Catching (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal) and Hayden Scott, and mixed in New York with Ben Baptie at Atomic Sound NYC (Mark Ronson).
This year has seen a packed out touring schedule for the band. Along with performing their own sold out headline shows, they have supported the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Drenge, Best Coast  and Mythopeoia III: Legs.
