Earlier this year, Eleanor Friedberger released her stunning, critically-acclaimed third solo record entitled New View, and today she shares a captivating animated video for "Does Turquoise Work?" made by Friedberger's bassist Jonathan Rosen. Rosen illustrated the song in the form of over 1,000 hand-made drawings in an improvised process, reflecting his personal interpretations of the song's lyrics. "It feels not only like a companion piece" saysFriedberger, "but a hypnotic compound of song and imagery, guiding one another." PRESS HERE to watch it now via Nerdist . The release of the video for "Does Turquoise Work?" also marks the beginning of the second leg of her US tour, where she'll be bringing songs from New View to the stage. The tour begins tonight at U Street Music Hall in Washington DC. See below to find a show near you and PRESS HERE to find tickets. New View is an exciting and masterfully-crafted addition to Eleanor Friedberger's already top-notch catalogue. PRESS HERE to purchase New View now. Friedberger drew inspiration for New View from many of her musical heroes - everyone from Van Morrison, Neil Young and George Harrison, to Slapp Happy, Yoko Ono and Elyse.
