Mr. Hicks excels at creating female heroines, be it on this earth or another world. I was disappointed when I had to resurface to my mundane world because I had reached the end of Vulcan's Fury

I absolutely LOVED (I was a history major in college). His character development in this book as in his other books is SUPBERB!! His knowledge of military tactics is obvious.
