The Chronicle of Heloise and Grimple – A Serial Adventure (Part 7): A Half-Orc Walks into a Club

For those who dig fun, rollicking fantasy adventures, we hereby present Part 7 of The Chronicle of Heloise and Grimple (for more background on the series and to read Part 1: All’s Well That Begins Well, click here). Periodically throughout the series, you, Dear Readers, will be presented with decision points at the end of installments, and it is YOUR collective feedback that will help determine the path our heroes take. So pay attention and choose (un)wisely—the next such decision point will come at the end of Part 8.

A Half-Orc Walks Into a Club...

AWait...where did all the content go?! You'll have to check out the collected Chronicle of Heloise & Grimple for the full story...coming in late September! Watch this space.

Ginger 'The door itself would require someone with at least hill giant-level strength to batter down.'

Hehe you write like a DM sometimes. I loves it.

Trish Great installment. Do you know of a spell I would be able to use to take some of Heloise's oversized confidence and use it myself?! ;P

Paul What could be better to come home to after an evening throwing dice? Ah, bliss...

Trish, you just need to start a "What Would Heloise Do?" movement! You can have t-shirts and everything.

Sean Gibson Paul wrote: "What could be better to come home to after an evening throwing dice? Ah, bliss..."

Sigh. I want to throw some dice.

What was this evening's game of choice?

Cindy Newton I say, ripping installment--jolly good fun! I know that at some point the conundrum of Grimple's enchantment will be solved, but I'm gonna miss his Blue Rajah voice. The story just keeps getting better!

Thanks, Cindy! Who knows how this will all get resolved...maybe Grimple will keep that velvet fog of a voice. ;)

I don't even know that one...but who wouldn't want to play anything as Bruce Lee?? Heck, Monopoly would be WAY more fun if you could be Bruce Lee instead of a stupid thimble.

Paul True dat.

Trish Sean wrote: "Trish, you just need to start a "What Would Heloise Do?" movement! You can have t-shirts and everything."

*lol* And I suppose you'd get a cut?! ;P

And hell yes, playing as Bruce Lee would improve a lot of games!

Shadowdenizen BEHOLDER!

You win the Interwebz for that, Sean. (Though to be technical, Beholders only have ten eyestalks.)

And...
I'm a bigger nerd than even I thought possible.

Any day I can win the Interwebz is a good day.

message 20: by Paul (new)

Paul Have you guys seen the episode of Futurama with a Beholder in it? Bloody hilarious.

I'm not sure, but I think it might have been in How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back.

message 21: by Trish (new)

Trish *whispers confession into the room that she has never seen a single episode - not of Futurama and not of The Simpsons*
*takes cover*

message 22: by Ginger (new)

Ginger I wasn't a huge fan of the Simpsons but I enjoy Futurama and Family Guy :P
You should give it a try Trish.

message 23: by Trish (new)

Trish SO MANY SHOWS, SO LITTLE TIME!!! xD

message 24: by Shadowdenizen (new)
