A lot of you talked about Leap Year (I like the one about St. Patrick giving women one day every 4 years to do the marriage proposing). But the only one who told me exactly when and why and by whom it was done is DIANE YATEMAN -- Thank you, Diane. Basically in 46 BC, Caesar revamped the Roman calendar, thus it became the Julian calendar. So, now all of us have this date tucked in the back of our noggins. Along with St. Patrick --
Do you always sort of reboot the first day of a new month? I mean, you write out March 1st and you think Wow! Another month down the yearly drain and what's going to happen this brave new month? Will I accomplish good things? Do things that will make my folks proud of me? Maybe visit a neighbor who's not doing well? So many choices, it's a tabula rasa (blank slate), and all things are possible. Scratch your head (not elsewhere, please) and think about what's going to happen in your March, the only March for a very long time.

Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
