Another Day
During the holiday season, Christmas specifically, it can be hard to be away from family and friends.

They welcomed the New Year in their living room
enjoying their love and watching the fireworks in the sky. It
was snowing and the view from the sixth floor toward the
trees on the streets was breathtaking. The firs and the
houses were like white minions that looked tired from the
weight of the snow on their branches and roofs.
“Happy new year,” Linda shouted.
“Happy new year, Mrs. Hanton,” he said and kissed
her lips.
“Thank you for the best winter holidays of my life,
Mr. Hanton,” she whispered and became emotional. Tears
of happiness and relief ran down her cheeks. She finally
felt serenity. Limitless love had blanketed her heart and the
cold feelings had left far away.
“You’re welcome, baby. Although I have to admit
it’s my pleasure and it’s my goal to make every single day
of our life better till we reach perfection.”
Stephen meant his words; he was determined to
offer his soul to see her eyes glowing.
“I wish all the people in the world were as happy as
I am right now. This is definitely the best day,” she said.
“I thought your best day was when you married
me,” Stephen said as Linda laughed and put her fingers on
his head, pulling his hair away from his big eyes.
“You are right; it’s the second best day of my life.
The best day was when I was born.”
Stephen was sure he was not going to win; she was
able to think of the best answer to make him freeze. Of
course, that was one of her biggest assets, something extra
that increased the respect of a charming personality.
“I think this is not the best dialogue we could have
during the first moments of a new year,” he said and smiled
while his forehead touched hers.

In The Zone
I believe in spirits, not ghosts.
Kendra Wilkinson
#InTheZone
The forest across the way, with its intoxicating
smells, stirred up his mood and made him more decisive.
He looked forward to spending the rest of his day on the
beach, enjoying the sun’s rays and the heat, waiting
patiently for the girl of his dreams.
“Live your life to the fullest,” Taylor whispered in
his ear and managed to surprise him.
“I will do it,” he said and smiled.
“Life is beautiful. We are still alive. Don’t waste
your time thinking about the difficulties at school and the
other nasty facts. And I don’t think grades are everything,”
Taylor said and pulled her black hair away from her sweet
face, watching his big eyes.
“You are right.” Richard shook his head and felt
wonderful, ready to confess his secret.
“It is time for you to take off your T-shirt,” Taylor
said and left her white shorts on her towel.
“It’s great just to be here with you,” he said while
she ran toward the sea.
The following minutes, the curious teenagers kept
having fun and didn’t care about anything other than
swimming and playing in the cold water. They had never
forgotten the time they were small kids when they used to
play with the sand along with their parents. Now, they
loved being there alone, spending some untroubled
moments far away from their homes and parents. They
couldn’t stop laughing and teasing one another.
Richard realized there was no reason to worry or be
nervous. He was not the only one who had feelings in his
heart. Taylor seemed to like his company and he guessed
she would never let him come face-to-face with his day-today
fears. Her smile had made his inner voice stop telling
him that she would reject him, preventing her from
butchering his feelings.

Angels & Demons
Good habits formed at youth make all the difference.
Aristotle
Everybody reads Y/A
Trapped in Timelessness
The carefree stroll in the woods managed to trap them in timelessness. The four students along with their teachers would have to deal with an absurd fate. The red scorpions, the large eagles, the nasty bats, and the bloody creatures were determined to haunt them forever. The moment they came across the craziest adventure of their lives, they would have to struggle to survive.
Green Lake was a beautiful place any time of year, a beautiful place where ten people disappeared every century at the end of a muddy rope. On the verge of graduation, Nick and Leona knew nothing of this. It wasn't until the nightmare came for them that the curse became real, and their futures changed far beyond what they could ever have dreamed.
The black angels have come, destroying the world to remake it in their own image. Some humans will survive, even overcome. As their world burns, they will rise from the ashes.

Winter Is Coming
It’s so nice being here again, sharing news and interesting facts about books and life. This is the first post for this season and I really hope all is well with you and yours. This blog might be a good place to rest your thoughts for a couple of minutes.
The following months you will come across new stories, and I owe this to some great people. I’m so happy I found so many good persons standing by me during my writing career.
Many, many thanks to Solstice Publishing and my wonderful team. I think that
an author cannot do everything, and I’m so lucky I run into Melissa Miller, K.C Sprayberry, KateMarie Collins, Cynthia Ley, Tracy, Judi and many, many talented authors.
Ok now that’s enough, I will not become the person you want to avoid. For those of you, who didn’t have fun during summer, try not to worry. I bet better days will come for all. At least this is what I need to believe.
Many thanks,
Angel A Schenna

The Beast of The Dark
If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles.

Fear of the darkness
What am I supposed to do? she wondered, while she supposed that the new day had already come. Amelia was certain she had slept the whole night and looked forward to seeing the sun’s rays. She already missed the blue sky and the deep blue color of the ocean.
The moment she got out from the closet and realized there was still dark, she wanted to scream. She pulled her long hair away from her pale face and took a deep breath, doing her best to abstain from panic-stricken reactions. She walked to the door and placed her head on the cold surface while paying attention to every single sound. She used to fear the darkness. She missed the daylight and the man that had promised he would stand by her side forever.
The following minutes she was able to understand there were some unexpected changes. The heat was gone; the cold air kept assaulting her face and the naked parts of her skin, giving birth to many silent, sneaky questions about the place she was in. She didn’t mind taking off her black dress and high heels.
What the hell, she whispered and headed toward the balcony of the cabin where she opened the door slowly, and stepped outside.
***
The dense fog had covered everything while the freezing atmosphere started making her feel like being trapped in a cage where the beast of the dark would meet her soon. She felt unwelcomed and the darkness kept showing her that she would remain scared for too long. As time passed by, she couldn’t stand the cold atmosphere.
Amelia was certain there was something terrible going on, and couldn’t wait, she was determined to discover the truth.
She opened the door and could still hear nothing and no one.
You have to do this, she thought and walked outside the cabin heading toward the stairs while she could only hear her heartbeat.
The doors of the cabins were closed and she didn’t dare open them since she was sure she had to find the crew and her lover first, so she rushed to go back to the ship’s bridge.
Every step, every breath made her feel like being in the worst place in the world. She had never imagined she would experience a situation where you have no one by your side.
Amelia tried to be quite and calm but the dense fog, that started surrounding the place she had entered, changed her mood. Out of the blue, she ran down the stairs and headed to the first exit she saw. She couldn’t remember where she had left her cell phone, and she really needed a flashlight to guide her steps.
There was no one chasing her, but her mind liked teasing her soul, disturbing her positive mood, while increasing her agony and the fear of the darkness…
