C.A. Clark ("Charlie") was born in 1981 in the Oregonian Willamette Valley. At age 21 she moved to Brazil to teach English, returning later to the United States when she moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and studied teaching English at the Boston Language Institute. Other places she has claimed as home throughout her travels include her native Oregon; Long Island, New York, and Charleston, South Carolina, and the Lone-Star State of Texas.

A Woman for All Seasons, she loves everything from frills & finery; guns, cowgirl boots, black leather & bikes; and driving along old country roads, hiking hills and mountains, and spending time in the great outdoors. Leisure time and spare moments are spent with her husband, Lloyd, and their combined family of four children--in adventures about the country, or in baking, cooking, and crafting together.

As a teenager Charlie was taken on as a protege to artist Deacon Sharp. She has practiced many different art forms and won several awards. Upon conclusion of her book series, Charlie plans to start a fashion business chain that will partner with international organizations to help house, feed, clothe, educate, and train women and children in 3rd World countries--individuals who would otherwise be put at risk through abandonment on the streets, or else sold into child-marriage and/or the booming industry of the sex-slave trade.

One of Charlie's favorite quotes comes from the legendary Mark Twain: "The two most important days of a man's life are (1) the day on which he was born, and (2) the day when he discovers WHY he was born." With this in mind, Charlie emphatically concludes: "We are each born to make a DIFFERENCE! Others have passed the torch to me, now I'm passing it to you--together we illuminate the darkness!"

C.A. Clark is a strong advocate for encouraging literacy among teens and young adults. She believes that a well-read person is an informed person: books not only aid in sparking new ideas and opening the eyes of the soul, but they also provide tools towards future success in virtually every area of life. The more familiarized an individual becomes with the English language, the more confidently he or she can use it in order to present themselves (their ideas, knowledge, education, and experience) in a manner commanding both the respect and attention of others. With this in mind, C.A. Clark seeks to open up the minds of her readers and expand their word-power prowess through creative fiction.
