Eventide Speaker PSA: The Truth About Santa Claus
This was suppose to be a video of Xarissa and Hanlowa, but unfortunately G.A. lost the film while being attacked by demonic possessed elf toys. He should be out of the hospital in time for the holidays. So enjoy reading this transcript instead.
Xarissa and Hanlowa sit in front of a roaring fireplace with silver and black Christmas decorations all around them. Xarissa wearing a silver Santa hat and ugly Christmas sweater. Hanlowa dressed in a black elf costume.
Xarissa: Hi, Xarissa Silverstone. Scribe of The Silver Codex and the Eventide Speaker.
Hanlowa: And I’m Hanlowa, Muse of Horror.
Lunette shouts off screen.
Lunette: Why are you two doing a Christmas PSA? Your genre is horror. That doesn’t fit with Christmas.
Hanlowa: You would be surprise how much power I get this time of year.
Xarissa: Yeah, there is a shocking amount of horror Christmas stories like Gremlins, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Black Christmas.
Hanlowa: Not mention one of the greatest Christmas stories is about four ghosts coming to scary a cheap skate until he gets his act together.
Lunette: I never noticed that before.
Hanlowa: This is why you need to stay behind the camera. You never really know what you’re talking about.
Xarissa: HANLOWA!
Hanlowa: *grumbles* I’m sorry.
Lunette: I will let it go because it’s the holidays.
Xarissa: On to the PSA, for many people Christmas is a terrifying time.
Hanlowa: Especially for parents who think it is time to tell their kids that Santa Claus is not real.
Xarissa: And that is what we are here to talk about today because you might be about to make a huge mistake.
Hanlowa: You probably going to tell your child that Santa Claus doesn’t exist, but the truth is that Santa Claus does exist.
Xarissa: See, Santa Claus is really St. Nicholas, who lived in 4th century who was a bishop did many miracles in the name of our Lord include raising three children from the dead who were killed by a butcher.
Hanlowa: Therefore to say that Santa Claus doesn’t exist would be a lie. Really parents should just admit he is dead, and that we honor his spirit by giving presents. By denying his entire existence you’re denying all the love and kindness he gave into this world.
Xarissa: And the reason you need to admit Santa Claus exist is because if people don’t give gifts with joy to others it will weaken Santa Claus’s power, and that would be bad.
Hanlowa: I’m sure many of you have heard of Krampus, though in true human fashion you got his story wrong. The truth is that Krampus tries to destroy the world every Christmas Eve so he can devour the souls of humanity like mozzarella cheese sticks.
Lunette shouts off screen.
Lunette: That is the allegory you are going with?
Xarissa: I’m the one who came up with it.
Lunette: Oh, in that case. It’s great.
Xarissa: Anyway, one of the only things that can hold Krampus back is Santa Claus and La Befana working together to fight him off.
Thalia appears out of nowhere.
Thalia: You can actually read about this one time that La Befana fought Krampus by clicking on the actually word here. As long as you have a kindle.
Hanlowa: Get out of our PSA, Thalia!
Thalia huffs, but disappears.
Xarissa: Yes, and you can help them fight Krampus, because why Santa Claus doesn’t deliver toys like most mainstream media portrays him doing, he does come to houses on Christmas Eve to bless the gifts we give to each other so they might be used a protection against Krampus.
Hanlowa: It’s one of the reasons Christmas Presents feel special compare to other presents.
Xarissa: And that means helping out with toys drives so that even families that can’t afford gifts will have something under the tree to be blessed.
Hanlowa: Also all acts of kindnesses and hope done by children can fuel St. Nicholas and La Befana when they’re up against Krampus. So create an environment where those thing will flourish.
Xarissa: Also any acts that discourages kids from adults will feed into Krampus so don’t do that.
Hanlowa: And be honest with your kids about the nature of Santa Claus. That while he might be dead, his spirit lives on by the generosity and love of all mankind, and that it’s their time to help with the gift giving cause.
Xarissa: This has become especially important because our society’s cynical and greedy nature makes Krampus’s stronger and more difficult for Santa Claus and La Befana to fight.
Hanlowa: He is one of the purest evils, and he is always trying to find new ways to gain power. We even have reports that he is now using minions to help him, which will make things more difficult for St. Nicholas and La Befana. As long as a child cries he will always have a chance to claim victory some Christmas Eve.
Xarissa: So be honest with kids, give with a joyful heart, and don’t try to destroy the childish nature of the soul.
Hanlowa: Honestly, humanity would be better off if you all accepted the fact that you’re all children and allowed the world to be a playground like the Divine Good wanted the earth to be.
Thalia appears out of nowhere again.
Thalia: Also buy all of Emily’s books! Buy The Lotus Caretaker! Buy The Blue Codex! And all of the Silver Codex series!
Hanlowa: THALIA! STOP DOING A COMMERCIAL IN OUR PSA OR I’M GOING TO TELL MOM ON YOU!
Xarissa: Who is this Emily she keeps talking about?
Hanlowa ignores Xarissa’s question. She runs around after Thalia with a butcher’s knife while Thalia defended herself with her shepherd cane. Xarissa shakes her head and looks straight at the camera.
Xarissa: Merry Christmas Everyone.

Here is a summary of the plot: I’m back, and there is no time to rest now that I am the Eventide Speaker. While I was able to purify the town, the Everely Woods are still very much defiled to the point that no Divine Being can enter them. The only logically thing for me to do is to go inside them myself to find the true source of the defilement. Camping out in cursed woods? What is the worst that can happen? Besides having to deal with ghosts, a creepy doll factory, zombie nymphs, and evil Satanists. Questions will be answered, mysteries will be solved, and hopefully all of us will make it out alive.
