Saturday #Spankings: Melissa's Saving Grace 6/6

Yay! A-Z Challenge - E is for #Endorphins #SpankA2Z #Spanking

The definition of endorphin from Dictionary.com
endorphin   (ěn-dôr'fĭn)    
Any of a group of peptide substances secreted by the anterior portion of the pituitary gland that inhibit the perception of painful stimuli. Endorphins act as neurotransmitters in the pain pathways of the brain and spinal cord. Narcotic drugs may stimulate the secretion of endorphins.
In other words endorphins are our brains way of providing us with natural pain killer and feel good chemicals. The definition goes on to say:

...Besides behaving as a pain reducer, endorphins are also thought to be connected to euphoric feelings, appetite modulation, and the release of sex hormones. Prolonged,CONTINUOUS exercise contributes to an increased production of endorphins and, in some people, the subsequent "runner's high."





Common causes of the release of endorphins are exercise, meditation, childbirth, alcohol, chili peppers, and bodywork. You know what else releases endorphins? Spanking!! No wonder we are so drawn to it. It makes sense that so many of us use it as a stress reliever and according to the excerpt above no wonder it makes us insatiable sexually. Oh and did you also see that it helps us lose weight?!

A-Z Challenge - Domestic Discipline #SpankA2Z

For D day I thought I'd talk about Domestic Discipline. We write books about it. We read books about it. Some of us live it out in our daily live's. Some of us dream about it. One thing's for sure, though, it is a very popular topic in the spanking world. 
Although Domestic Discipline is not all about the spanking, many of this type of relationship include them from one degree to the other. DD typically involves one partner being the dominant, in charge, partner with the other being the more submissive partner. Some have established rules, while others go by the four D's (Dishonesty, Disrespect, Disobedience, & Dangerous behavior,) and still others choose a more goal oriented style of DD. 


This can be a small aspect of the relationship all the way to an all encompassing aspect. As someone who has been in this dynamic with my husband for 6 years it has been all the way from one extreme to the other depending on what's happening in our lives to our mentality at the time. I remember when I stumbled upon DD what seems like a million years ago it was like a light bulb going off. It encompassed everything I wanted in a spanking relationship. I always had a need that I could not completely identify. DD fit that need to a T. 


It gave a purpose to my fetish (I never would have admitted that it was a fetish back then & I definitely thought DD & the fetish were mutually exclusive...not true!) I have always been a self help type of person, always seeking to improve myself. Like any marriage we needed some work in the communication department. I definitely had qualities & habits I wanted to improve on. It took many years before we actually incorporated it into our lives, actually until I fully admitted to my husband that I needed this. When I finally did we jumped in with both feet. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but also a lot more satisfying.


We had the typical two steps forward one step back. At the end of the first year I can say with all honesty we had never been happier. Our communication skills had gone through the roof. I have a bit of a homemaker fetish (and a lot of room for improvement,) so that's where we started along with respect. Some years we have had full boat DD and others it is mostly play. What I've learned is that this is now a part of who we are. Even if life gets in the way (boy has it!) we will circle back eventually. That realization has made me very secure.

A-Z Challenge - Corbin's Bend #SpankA2Z

About a year and a half ago I was invited to participate in a fun new interactive book series called Corbin's Bend. I had head to toe chills from the moment I started reading about this incredible community and what Thianna hoped to accomplish with it. It's still one of the coolest ideas I have seen take root in the author/book community.

I was honored to have my very first published work released in this series. What a way to start a writing career. Charles and Violet came to life in vivid color. They were as real as if they were right there in the room speaking to me. I have a feeling they would allow me to write one hundred stories about them. Whenever I think of them, there they are ready to let me know what they are up to.

Immediately after A Brush of Violet went to publication I started working on Melissa's story in Melissa's Saving Grace. Melissa was a minor character in my first book, a troubled young resident of Corbin's Bend who could not seem to keep herself out of trouble. In this installment of Corbin's Bend we dig a little deeper into Melissa's past and take a peek into what motivates her wild ways. Enter handsome blue collar Jason with his work roughened hands and papa bear mentality. It could turn out that he might just be exactly what Melissa's needs. Rumor has it that Corbin's Bend residents are getting their very own medical facility in Season Four. Could this mean a little medical play could also be coming to Corbin's Bend. I think it's a good possibility. I'm working on a sliver of this project myself that I think you are all going to like a lot. I swear if I could pack up and move to this town today I would. Can you imagine the freedom in living your lifestyle out loud 100 percent of the time or as much as you wanted? A-Z Challenge - #Anal Play & Punishment #SpankA2Z

I am so excited to be kicking off my return to blogging with the A-Z blogging challenge. What a perfect way to get back to blogging. I plan to be here much more frequently even after the challenge is over. 
So, on to the A topic of the day, Anal play & punishment. There is something about anal play and especially punishment that is a real turn on to read. I love it when a good spanking novel slips this into the scenes. There is still something deliciously forbidden about it that adds an extra layer of excitement. 


In my Corbin's Bend book, A Brush of Violet, Charles surprises Violet by giving her pretty little rosebud a few well placed taps during a spanking. They had enjoyed this activity in play and it wasn't long before it was added into the discipline arena as well.
