A-Z Challenge: Melissa's Saving Grace #CorbinsBend
Today for the A-Z challenge I'm sharing a little about my upcoming release, Melissa's Saving Grace. I hope you enjoy the excerpt below. Also, stay tuned on Saturdays, as I participate in the Saturday Spankings Blog Hop, for a little teaser as release day approaches.
He knew he couldn’t put the spanking off all night. She needed it, but not yet. While she
was getting the brush, he carried a kitchen chair into the center of the living room. She hovered
in the doorway between the rooms like her feet were stuck to the floor. He crooked his finger to
draw her through the door. He watched her eyes and noticed the moment of decision flit across
them. It took another full four seconds before she was able to force her feet to move. She
fidgeted beside him, a look of surprise cascading over her features as he guided her to sit on the
floor in front of him instead of over his lap as she obviously expected.
Gently unwrapping her hair, curls tumbled down her back. Gathering the damp locks
reverently in his hands, he pulled them behind her shoulders. He brushed her dark brown hair
slowly starting from the bottom working the tangles out one by one. He worked in small sections
luxuriating in the feel of her under his hands. Taking his time, he felt Melissa relax, little by
little, under his touch. Her eyes closed under his ministrations. After every single tangle had been
worked loose and her hair was gleaming, Jason moved his hands down to her shoulders kneading
the tight muscles, working out each knot until the tension had disappeared. A small sigh and then
what sounded almost like a purr escaped from her lips. Not wanting the moment to end, he
continued light stroking across her warm skin for several more minutes.
Finally he took a deep breath knowing that there was no more putting it off. Giving her
one final squeeze, he helped her to a standing position. “It’s time for your spanking,” he said.
She nodded, every last vestige of fight completely gone. Taking a seat in the straight backed
chair, he pulled her to stand between his legs. “Okay, Melissa, tell me why you’re getting this
spanking.”

She was crying out for some guidance; both the kind that would tuck her in at night and the kind that would take her over a knee for some much needed discipline and structure.
Can Jason give Melissa what she needs and tame the wild child that she is? Can he show her the way a true gentleman treats the woman he has feelings for? Will Melissa turn out to be too much for Jason to handle? Will she fall back into her old ways? Or will Jason and Melissa find exactly what their looking for in each other?

A-Z Challenge: L is for Leather #SpankA2Z
Mmm, there's something about leather that really just flat does it for me. The smell of the supple material, the sound of it slicing through the air, the jingle of the buckle as he takes it off, the way it sounds as it strikes the flesh. It just sends shivers up my spine. It is by far my favorite spanking implement. I have to admit that the belt is my absolute favorite, but the strap, tawse, crop, and leather paddle also have a place near and dear to my heart.

A-Z Challenge: #Kink #SpankA2Z
Kink has been my favorite flavor of sexuality since before I knew that it had a name. From the first time I read sex being anything, but vanilla I knew it was for me. Other than my first few sexual experiences I have stayed off the straight and narrow. I like to go where the road bends.
Case in point, when I was around sixteen years old there was a boy who I had a huge crush on. He was edgy and dark in all the right ways. I just knew he would be HOT in bed. Well, or at least until the day that he shot my fantasies right out of the water. Apparently, he liked me too. Except well...in order to prove that he was my kind of guy he thought it was a good idea to tell me how romantic he was. According to him he loved rose petals, mushy sex music (think Marvin Gaye,) and slow, languid love making. And with that any shot he had with me was right out the window. My face fell further with every word he spoke. I still have no idea if he knew what went wrong. Give me hot domination. Give me hair pulling. Give me a really good bare bottom spanking. A-Z Challenge: Johanna Lindsey (My First #Spanking Novel)
As an avid romance novel reader starting around the age of twelve it's not a surprise that I was exposed to a lot of things at an early age that not many sixth graders had. Also, knowing romances from that era it should also not be a surprise that this was exactly where I learned about spanking causing it to deeply ingrain itself in my psyche as irrevocably linked to sex and romance.
It was not uncommon at all for the hero of any said romance novel to throw the heroine across his knee at any moment for a well deserved bottom thrashing. It wasn't long until I awaited those scenes with baited breath. They were my favorites. Any book that contained these much anticipated scenes would soon become dog eared from the number of times I would read and re-read them.
I'm not sure if Johanna Lindsey had more spanking scenes than anyone else or if hers were just that much more memorable, but it seems that most of my favorites came from her. I believe my very first spanking romance (if you can call those brief scenes that...Carolyn Faulkner later shifted my perspective on what a true spanking romance was.) Sadly, I have not found which title it is exactly, but I do know that it was a Western. There were two spanking scenes. One long over the knee spanking due to the heroine becoming a jealous shrew and the other in bed at the end for putting herself in danger. That first spanking changed my life.
There were many to follow and others that stick out in my mind are Defy My Heart & her Ly-San-Ter Family Trilogy. I read a book a day, so forgive me if the other titles blur a bit. I do know that most of her novels from the eighties and early nineties are almost guaranteed to have a spanking or two thrown in there.
For what it's worth, thank you Johanna Lindsey for turning at least one (and I've heard through the grapevine many others) full fledged spanko. :)

A-Z Challenge: I Love Lucy #SpankA2Z
Who can resist I Love Lucy? Not only is the show a complete classic. It's hilariously, roll on the ground laughing, funny. With all the shenanigans that Lucy got up to can we really blame Ricky for all the spankings he had to dish out over the years? Spankings that we all loved to watch. It doesn't hurt that Ricky Ricardo was smoking hot Cuban Conga drummer. Hmm, no wonder he knew how to deliver a spanking! He worked his spanking arm out every single gig and then some! In the end you can tell that Ricky only spanks Lucy out of the love of his heart. Heaven knows what level of trouble she would find herself in if he didn't spank her every once in awhile. A-Z Challenge: #Hollywood #Spankings #SpankA2Z
Hollywood spankings have been a much talked about phenomenon for about as long as it has existed. Whether in movies, tv shows, commercials, or advertisements there is plenty of material to explore. Spankings gained popularity as a publicity stunt throughout the 30's, 40's, & 50's. It was not rare for the hero in a movie to pull the heroine over his knee for a good whalloping. On tv spankings were often used for comedic relief. During the 60's through the 80's spankings were still aplenty in Hollywood, but took on a more serious note. Toward the end of this time frame they fell out of favor being deemed politically incorrect, much to the chagrin of many spankos. In the 90's and early 00's they were few and far between.
Imagine the enthusiasm when spanking cult classic, The Secretary, hit box offices. James Spader & Maggie Gyllanhaal provided enough fodder for fantasies to carry us far into the 2000's. I remember watching this over and over again.
I have two tv shows tied for my favorite spanking scenes. There have been spankings a plenty throughout the years that Weeds has been on. I can remember three of the top of my head. My absolute favorite scene is between Mary Louise Parker & Mark Paul Gosselaar. Holy hell is it sexy!
My second favorite is the scene in The Big Band Theory when Sheldon spanks Amy. It is both cute & funny.
While looking for that scene I found the funniest cast interview about this that I just have to share. Hilarious!!
I would include I Love Lucy & my absolute favorite, Outlander on this list, but I love them so much that they had to have their own post. Look forward to I Love Lucy tomorrow for I and Outlander on the Corbin's Bend Blog for O. There are so many hollywood spankings, which are your favorites?
If we ever do this again I can't wait to do a post on celebrity spankos for letter C. Did you know that Stevie Nicks is a spanko? She admitted in an interview that she has band mates give her stress relief spankings before going on for shows. I love it when I dig up stuff like this!!

A-Z Challenge - #Good Girl #Spankings #SpankA2Z
Sorry for the blank posts!! I had a sudden bout with my chronic illness which kept me from updating my posts the last two days. I’m feeling much better & I’m ready to catch up on the A-Z challenge. My post for G is all about “Good Girl Spankings.” This conjures up images of delicious erotic spankings that finish with a happy ending. While those can be highly satisfying, in my book good girl spankings encompass anything that is not a punishment. Here are a few different types of good girl spankings & their definitions starting with the aforementioned erotic spanking.

No matter what kind of “good girl spanking” you take part in, there is one common thread among them all, when all is said and done the “good girl” comes out of it glowing, knowing from the depths of our beings how treasured we are and how much we are loved.
