Beg Me got Banned. Does that mean I’m awesome?

So…my book Beg Me got banned on Amazon.

It had this cover.

 

It had this description.

Numerous emails won’t get me any answers and I can’t get any feedback on just what the problem is. Just that vague… ‘violates our Content Guidelines’… because a woman has rape fantasies, that’s all I can figure out.

But hey…we still have all that daddy-daughter incest crap all over Amazon.  We won’t even talk about the dino porn and banged by the mothman stuff.

Oy.

So I redid the cover.  I tweaked the blurb.  I needed to submit a revised file that had been gone through another copyeditor’s hands so I’ll go ahead and do that if it passes this review. Resubmitted it.  We’ll see what happens.  But it’s beyond amazing that a romance about two non-related, consenting adults can get banned and all the daddy-daughter porn is still thriving.

Eesh.

Every year, we try to do something special with the kids for Christmas.  One year, we took them to the horse park in Lexington.  We’ve done Lights Under Louisville, taken them to the light displays at the zoos here in Louisville, in Indianapolis, in St. Louis.

This year, my husband heard that TSO was coming to town and he wanted to go.  It’s a little…um…bigger…than we usually do, but the older two love their music and baby bratlet really loves music in general, so I figured…why not.

And it was amazing.

So, here’s another favorite…not just the music, but a symbol of something is my world.  Memories of my family, at Christmas time.   Some Transiberian Orchestra music for the winner.

Christmas Carols – We Three Kings Lyrics | MetroLyrics

I figure I can tie that three kings things into the Darkyn lords trilogy.

So today my favorite things are books from my three die-hard faves.

Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews, Nightborn by Lynn Viehl, and Honest Illusions by Nora Roberts.  I’m a groupie for all three authors… Nora is the one who really hooked me on romance, and that book was the first I read from her.  I can’t pick a favorite by Viehl-honestly, because if I did it would be an entire series and that’s the Stardoc series, so I just decided to go with the Darkyn lords. And if I’m giving away Ilona Andrews, I should start with the first.

My Favorite Things

So I’m a nut about Christmas.  I love the holiday.  I love Christmas carols and cookies and I don’t even really mind shopping.  I like giving presents and I love getting them.  I love Christmas musics and carols and I love the sermons around Christmas season.

One of my favorite Christmas specials is The Charlie Brown Christmas special…and Linus.  Cuz of this part…(grabbed from IMDB).

Tomorrow’s signing (Update) and other stuff

Due to the weather going on in my neck of the woods, I’m going to have to cancel my plans to attend the signing in Cincy tomorrow, Saturday 12/7/2013.  We’ve been getting ice fairly steadily and it’s changed over to snow.  I don’t want to chance the 90 minute drive from Louisville to Cincy under the circumstances.

Interesting…and sad story

I read this over the weekend.

 

He was hired to hunt pirates, dealt with sickness, mutiny and overwhelming odds.  In the end, though, the people who hired him didn’t want to deal with a mess created by the times and he’s the one who paid.
