Gemini by Catherine Peace @lexcade ~ Release Blitz, Author Interview and Rafflecopter #FREE #Giveaway

Blurb:
Being one of the Embassy’s glorified treasure-seekers has its perks…
Komandan Uriah Jacobs recovers ancient artifacts in exchange for more than just decent pay; he also receives guaranteed protection from his former owners, the nyx…until an emergency landing on a too-familiar colony brings him face-to-face with his past life and something more—a surprisingly priceless treasure in the form of a human woman.
A slave to the nyx since childhood…
Shadi spends her waking hours in the forge, dreaming of rescuing her brother with the help of a man she once worshipped like a father. A crashed ship on the colony becomes her only hope to escape. But before she can steal the ship, the pilot abducts her. They may be the same species, but will he help her find her Shilah?
Their attraction is undeniable…
Fighting it seems inconsequential as they evade the nyx's bounty hunter and uncover a conspiracy that shines unwanted light on Shadi's past and reveals the corruption in Uri’s beloved Embassy, placing their fledgling love in danger.
As the universe systematically falls apart, will Shadi and Uri’s newfound passion be enough to keep them alive?
Excerpt:
The ship’s scream woke Shadi.
And it sounded like a horrible scream, a shriek of pain. She rushed to the cockpit, where Uri scrambled to fix the problem. “What’s going on?” she asked.
“We were attacked,” he replied without looking at her. “You may want to sit down.”
A sudden jolt forced her into the copilot’s chair. “Do you know who?” Is it Judah?
“Not entirely certain, but my fairest guess is the nyx.”
Her heart sputtered. It was a matter of time before they caught up, but she refused to go back, not to Goliv. Not to any of the colonies. “What can I do?”
“Buckle up. We’ll need to make an emergency landing.”
“So whoever is chasing us can find us. Smart.”
Finally, Uri glanced up, deep-brown eyes full of ire. “Where we can make our last defense. Do you know how to shoot?”
“No.” Of course not. Why would the nyx want a slave who might eventually kill them? Or escape?
“I figured as much.” Another jolt rocked the ship. “We’ll have to land on Chorth. Maybe hide out somewhere.”
“Why? Why not just hand me over to them?”
He looked at her as though she’d ripped his heart out. “What makes you suggest that?”
Because I’m a slave. Because I don’t know how to be anything else. “Because I’m far more trouble than I’m worth and you’re risking your life for a complete stranger.” Buy Links:Amazon | Barnes & Noble |ARe| iTunes | Kobo | Google Play
Author Interview:
Author: Catherine PeaceDate of Birth: 10/04Date of Interview: 8/24The Book: Gemini
Tell us about your newest release.Gemini follows Komandan Uriah Jacobs, a relic hunter for the galactic Embassy, former slave to the nyx, and Shadi, mechanical genius and current slave to the nyx, as Uri rescues her from her enslavement and the two uncover a conspiracy that threatens the entire universe.
What genre do you enjoy writing the most? Why?Speculative fiction. Science fiction, fantasy, and everything in-between. I love to see what’s possible.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your story? That you can fit Chuck Norris references, cat memes, and pop culture allusions into a science fiction story and still have it taken seriously.
Who is your favorite hero of fiction? This is probably cliché, but I have to say Anne Rice’s Lestat. I’ve adored him for years and years and years.
What is your most treasured possession?A picture my sister made me for Christmas. It has my first book’s cover and some of the reviews on it. Knowing that she believes in me enough to make that had me in tears.
If you could only tell us one thing about yourself, what would you want us to know most? That I’m never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and hurt you.
Which living person do you most dislike?Right now it’s a toss-up between Sarah Palin and Donald Trump.
Which living person do you most admire?Malala Yousafzai. She’s such an amazing young woman.
With whom, living or dead and why, would you like to sit and chat with for an afternoon?Apart from Malala, I’d have to go with Mary Shelley, mother of science fiction; HG Welles, one of the most prolific science fiction authors; or Bram Stoker so I can yell at him about the totally lackluster ending of Dracula.
What is your greatest fear? That Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm Street) will get me in my dreams. I had recurring nightmares of him for almost twenty years.
Who or what has been the greatest love of your life?My dog. I know, I know, but she’s been with me through so much that I can’t imagine my life without her. Unconditional love is rare.
What is your greatest regret?I’d love to be a person who says she doesn’t have any, but I do. Probably the biggest is a relationship I let go on too long because I didn’t want to be alone.
If you could choose to be a character in a book, who would it be?The protagonist of the book I’m currently reading, Eleanor Jones. She can turn into a dragon. I’m into that.
Which book have you read the most in your lifetime? The Island of Dr. Moreau by HG Welles. That book changed my life.
What is your favorite journey? Metaphorically or otherwise? Michael’s journey in Tiffany Reisz’s The Angel. I loved watching someone who was so uncertain of himself, his life, and his sexuality become someone completely sure of himself under the (often very hot) love and compassion of someone he thought out of his league.
What is your favorite quotation?“She said she could, so she did.”
Dogs or Cats? Which do you prefer and why?Dogs. I grew up with dogs, I love the relationship you can build with a dog, and I love how precious they are.
What do you most value in a friend?Honesty and compassion
What quality do you most admire in a woman/man, lover/spouse or influencer/boss?Good communication. Over the years that has become exceedingly important to me.
What are your favorite names?Calista and Dominik.
What authors or friends influenced you in helping you become a writer?Three of my high school teachers—Mrs. Carroll (God rest her soul), Ms. Payne, and Mr. Ashurst. They were my biggest supporters.
What does your family think about your career as a published author? They think it’s great. My mom frequently tells me she’s proud of me for sticking with my dream.
Besides writing, what other interests do you have?I’m an avid gamer, I love to read, I go contra dancing on Mondays, and I like to be outside (when it’s not 8 MILLION degrees).
Which are your three favorite books? The Angel by Tiffany Reisz, The Island of Dr. Moreau by HG Welles, and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
Which book that you’ve written is your favorite? It’s a tie between Gemini and Ember’s Secret. I think those two series are going to be among my best work.
Where do you get your greatest ideas for writing? When I’m doing something absolutely unrelated to writing—sleeping, cleaning, working. Whatever gives my mind an opportunity to relax.
What is your ‘Writing Routine’, if any?I honestly don’t have one. I take time where I can get it.
Do you have any interesting or quirks or rituals? Not really. I’m pretty bland where that’s concerned.
Tell us a saucy/intimate/personal story about yourself. For my sister’s bachelorette party we went bar hopping in Asheville, NC. The last bar we hit was having dirty bingo, so of course we had to go (please keep in mind my mother is with us). The hostess sat us down and after a little while the games got started. I kept getting super close to winning, but never managed to get that last bingo number. By the end of the night, we were down to the last prize—a 12.5” dildo. Guess who came home with it (with the bingo # O 69)? Yep. Me.
Silence/Music/TV for background?Music. I don’t do well with silence.

"I would like to discuss copulation." She felt her cheeks redden in embarrassment. It felt strange to discuss having sex."Oh?" Tallen's face lit up with a smile."I would like to try it. However, I can't promise that I agree to a lifetime of matehood… yet," she advised, placing a hand on his thigh. All he heard was I would like to try copulation, and her hand was on him. "Suits off."Cari gasped as they were suddenly both naked. She looked over at him in time to see him leaning closer for a kiss. Oh, what the hell! She shifted to straddle his legs, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Her eyes closed when his lips kissed hers, sliding his tongue into her mouth. He began that sexy growl that vibrated throughout her body, pebbling her nipples and dampening her sex. She suspected those elusive balls of his had dropped again when his hard length pressed into her belly.Tallen rolled over, tucking her beneath him, enjoying her gasp of excitement as she looked up at him. Naomi cut him off, kissing the question from his lips.He moaned and slid his hands down her back, cupping her ass to pull her closer. If she'd been uncertain of what he was going to ask, she would surely get the hint with it pressed snugly against her stomach and getting harder by the second. One moment her hands were on his chest, the next, his pants fell in a heap around his bare feet. Her hand cupped the bulge barely contained in his gray boxer briefs."Are you sure? Nay, we can't go back after this." His forehead fell against hers as they both took a moment to breathe. In a wordless answer, she freed her ponytail, sending her brown hair cascading down her back, and tugged her pink blouse over her head. Her skirt slid down next.

He had never known such hunger for a woman as he did this woman. Her trusses fell in ringlets of red and gold about her face, caressing her shoulders and brushing his chest as he pulled her closer, closer, closer. She smelled of lavender and bread, champagne and sex. It was an aroma he found, to his excitement, delicious. He would consume this woman, every satin inch of her tonight.
And she would revel in the lavish indulgence of his touch, his kiss, the mystery and magic talent of his tongue. The penetrating fullness of his cock twitched as if unimpressed by any other need and on fire to burn within Jordan igniting her core, burning her need for any other man, extinguishing her every brilliant blaze with a heat so white hot it flamed to an inferno.
They spoke few words after those first few magnetic moments. Their language was on the wings of love, for love it must be, he thought that even then. He had never felt this immediate about a woman in his life. Even he was caught just slightly off guard, but he never resisted, never fought the impulse, never hesitated; he never questioned the night as he plunged into this woman, his heart laid bare at her alter.
And, so, the night went with a touch, a sigh; a kiss, an embrace glistening with the perspiration of passion, flickering in the moonlight glitter. It was a night he had never forgotten, had never wanted to forget which he had never fully shared with anyone, but savored in his memories. Buy Link © Muffy Wilson

Blue Moon House: Investor by Angelica Dawson @angelicadawson ~ Cover Reveal

Blue Moon House: Investor by Angelica DawsonAmazon - Amazon UK - All Romance Ebooks (all formats)Terrance is fascinated with the vampires of Blue Moon House. When a fire leaves them homeless, he seizes the opportunity to put them in his debt and himself into their hearts. They agree to his proposition of a new house in America and set off on a voyage of wonder, danger and pleasure.
Investor is the fifth installment of Angelica Dawson's Blue Moon House series. With each subsequent volume set further into the past, there is no need to read these books in order. Just pick it up, and enjoy!
Here is a longer excerpt from Investor:
He’d been coming to the ladies of Blue Moon House long enough that the true proprietor of the House had identified herself. Sophia and Lynn shared more than ebony black hair, they were also much older than they appeared, eternal. Once sure of his discretion, they had asked for payment in a new fashion. All the whores knew Sophia, Lynn and Nicholas were vampires, but Terrance was one of the few clients to share in the secret.
If Lynn had bitten Eliza, the girl was lucky to still be as focused as she was. The vampire bite was accompanied by a rush greater than any tobacco, any opiate. However, the object was to provide him with a show, not feed. If she wanted that, she should have taken Amelia’s place.
“Mmm,” Amelia hummed in response to his increased arousal, the thought of Lynn biting him. He wanted to chide Lynn but didn’t want to interrupt.
Terrance pushed Amelia back and rose, approaching Lynn’s feet on the edge of the bed. He stroked his palms up the back of her legs while she used her mouth on Eliza. He couldn’t see her biting, only licking and sucking. The other girl swayed, her hands searching under Lynn, presumably for her small, round breasts.
Terrance had always preferred the woman with glowing brown eyes, even before he knew what she was. Using his thumbs, he gently pulled open the lips between her thighs. The skin between was pink, but not red like Eliza’s. That was nearly as dark as Lynn’s tongue. Amelia’s hands slid over his hips, stroking him while she pressed against his back.
He’d intended to watch the women, but it wasn’t enough. Amelia was doing a wonderful job, but he didn’t want to sit by. He wanted to be surrounded by women, smothered under them.

Author Interview
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? In Fading Memories the message is that one can recover from grief, and a broken heart. This can be a struggle for some people, and I hope that they can take away a portion of this book and enter it into their lives. Our hearts will be broken, and in time they can me mended. It only takes that one person to bring you back from the darkness.
What are your current projects? I’m currently finishing up a new series called A Taste of Love, the first book that will release late November early December is Frosted Sweets then I’m back to finishing up Seth’s story from The Chances Series.
Do you see writing as a career? I just left my full-time job over the summer to focus on my writing career more. The hope is that I can continue to build relationships with readers, and bloggers as I write, write, write.
If you could say anything to your readers what would it be? Thank you. The support that I receive from them is amazing and if it wasn’t for them, I would never have continued down this path.
Do you prefer to write alone or do you like to collaborate with other authors? Currently I have only written alone, but I do hope to collaborate with other authors soon. I would love to see how this process works.
When you are reading a book, who is your favorite author? Colleen Hoover
Do you come up with the cover or does someone else do it? Oh my … Covers have always been a fun aspect of writing for me, as they have just happened with ease. Fading Memories was the hardest cover to design. I had a vision of this one years ago, then as the story changed the vision changed. I was lucky that a friend helped me find the perfect image and the designer was able to portray what I wanted.
What book if any would you want to be made into a movie? Oh this one is hard. I would have to say either the Chances Series or Fading Memories.
Everyone uses computers, tablets, phones and no one uses handwritten form or typewriters, what do you prefer to use? I write notes and build the storyline in an old fashioned spiral notebook, when out and about I will write notes on my phone. Then I transfer them all into Word, I only write the story on the laptop and then save save save.
Is there a ritual you do everything before you begin your book? I have to make sure my music is ready, I either have a huge cup of coffee or drink. Slather my lips with Chap-stick and the type away. Oh and I have to have Twizzlers.
What do you do when you finish your book and turn it in to the editor? I will read it over, send to betas, make corrections and then close my eyes as I send to my editor. I’m always worried that everyone will hate what I wrote, and freak out until I hear back.

Excerpt:
As the night progresses, and the tender does as instructed, I find myself becoming tipsy and more confident as I gaze at the stubble-chinned guy with the great Turning my back to him and giving myself a telling off for being so desperate, I notice that the club has grown busier. With the ever-increasing number of bodies giving off their warmth, the bar suddenly becomes unbearably hot. I shrug my shoulders high and shake my jacket down, imprisoning it between my back and the bars on the top of the stool. Then, tossing my long hair to one side and exposing my bare neck and shoulder, I sit and watch a couple that have just got up to dance. Their casual swaying soon turns suggestive, and I keep my eyes glued on them as I blindly reach out for my glass, grasp it, and place it on my lap.
“Can I buy you a drink?” A warm hand rests on my naked shoulder.
Turning to see that it’s the dish I have been ogling all night, I nervously bite my lip and murmur an indecisive, “Umm.”
“I’m not taking no for an answer,” he says with a smile across his angelic yet troubled face.
My lips curl mischievously. “Well, in that case, I suppose I’ll have to say yes.”
He lifts his hand to the barman and says, “Another for the lady, and I’ll join her,” before walking behind me and creating a breeze that causes goose bumps to rise on the back of my neck.
With my eyes anchored on him as he straddles the stool beside me and hands the tender a crisp note, my thoughts become all sorts of inappropriate as I imagine what his fuck face might look like if I straddled him like he just did that stool.
My filthy thoughts are interrupted when our drinks are placed in front of us. My God, Ruth, stop it, you hussy.
I refocus my thoughts and thank him for the beverage as he pushes his hair back from his face. I admire his strong jaw line, and how he clenches it every now and again as though he is chewing over his next sentence.
“You’re welcome.” He smiles, holding out his big manly hand. “I’m Heath.”
I take it without hesitation. “I’m Ruth.” In my head it’s more like, ‘I’m yours’ as I rip his shirt off his back, and we have breathless frantic sex like they do in the Hollywood blockbusters. Jesus, what is the matter with me? I had no idea I was so frustrated.

The Dream Palace
Weary to the bone from fighting against the pounding rain, she lay in the bottom of the small carved vessel with only her opalescent wings to comfort her body and her gossamer gown to shield her from the night chill.
She dreamed of palaces, fountains so big they appeared as waterfalls with a glow from the moon to guide her passage.
And yet, when the tiny fairy woke curled on the dry crown of the pistil, she had slept above raindrops pooled at the base of the royal tulip petals and thought…

Elfin Blood by Gracen Miller @GracenMiller ~ Release Day Blast
RELEASESAugust 20th, 2015

Scorned by her own kind for her mixed-breed elf status, Julija lives a lonely existence as an outcast among her Ivory elf kin. When a magical book in elfin lore is stolen, she’s directed by her King to retrieve the book. Little of the heist goes as planned, and nothing about the vampire is as it appears.
Landau is fascinated by the elf stalking him and baffled by the hunger she elicits from him after ten thousand years of celibacy. Discovering she’s a pawn in a dangerous game orchestrated by none other than his reviled enemy, he’s determined to thwart their plans to pilfer the Book from his control.
When truths are revealed, Julija and Landau must decide if what the heart desires is more important than bloodlines.

“Hello, darling,” Landau drawled, drawing Julija’s attention. His little stalker merely glared at him. Landau leaned an elbow on the table, blocking her view of her male friend. Her gaze grew frostier.“Careful, careful.” He waved a finger at her and dropped his voice to his most charming tone. “You don’t want to give me frostbite.”She looked at her companion, and Landau thought he saw irony in her eyes. He smiled before canting his head around to take stock of her friend. The man stared straight at him with a tight, knowing smile.Landau stumbled back a step. Realizing he’d reacted, he planted his feet and cooled his rising temper. “To what do I owe the honor of the Ivory King’s presence in my city?”“Ivory what?” Julija echoed in feigned disbelief, but the slight widening of her eyes suggested he’d shocked her with his knowledge.“Save it, love,” he said with a killing glance, mocking her lie. “And why are you stalking me?”“Oh, do beg off.” She rolled her eyes. “I’m not stalking you.”“You—”The highborn elf cut Landau off with, “Your life’s in danger.”“What?” Landau narrowed his eyes on the royal cretin. “Am I supposed to believe you’re here to protect me?”The very idea is ludicrous! The snot inclined his head.Landau scoffed. “Bulletin! I’m a vampire.”“Save it, love,” Julija shot back at him.Landau whipped his head about and raised his eyebrows. Her sarcasm almost jerked a laugh out of him, but he managed to cage it at the last moment. The grin twitching at his lips had no hope of being totally eradicated. She gave him a tight smile. “Call yourself whatever you like, you’re still a Crimson elf.”“Yeah.” He flashed his incisors at her for no other purpose than to taunt her. Their races weren’t on friendly terms. She had her Ivory King to thank for that. “That didn’t seem to matter when the rest of you fucking elves decided to eradicate us. Don’t expect me to believe you suddenly care.”“We allowed your race to survive.” The sardonic comment came from her snotty friend.“So you have.” Pompous bastard probably thought he could’ve killed Landau. Alberic was a threat to Landau’s children. Landau raked his gaze over the elf-man. “I believe I recall you from another time.”Before Landau became a vampire at Chaos’ whim, he’d known the Ivory King well, and this elf wasn’t the true blood King. The elf cocked his head to the side, as if waiting further comment or assessing if Landau would out their former relationship to Julija.“Do you like what you see?” Landau turned his attention to Julija instead of elaborating, snubbing the royal elf.Julija sputtered. “I b-beg your… um… pardon?”“You were studying me.”“No.” She sniffed and scrunched her nose as if his scent offended her. “I wasn’t.”The situation amused him, and he called her bluff with a knowing grin. Intrigued, he watched her eyes focus on his fangs a moment before she licked her lips. His cock responded with a twitch. A fascinating reaction since he’d been impotent for ten thousand years. Being aroused by an Ivory elf—an enemy—was damn inconvenient.“Would you care to dance?” Landau surprised himself with the request. She flicked a nervous glance in the direction of the man-elf. She swallowed hard and flattened her tone, “I don’t dance.”“Good.” Landau clamped his fingers around her wrist and yanked her to her feet. She squawked like any human would and stumbled to catch her footing. “I’ll have the pleasure of teaching you the moves I prefer.”“What part of ‘I don’t dance’ don’t you get, vampire?” Angry, she fairly spat the word vampire. Her eyes gleamed and turned him on as did the fury smoking her voice. “How about the part where I don’t give a damn?”
