10 Ways Your Word Guides Your Year
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about how to find Your Word for 2017. A logical question several of you had was, "Now that I have my word, now what?"
That's a great question, so today I wanted to share ten ways that a Word can help direct your year. You may find that some or none of these apply to you. If you've used the word in other ways, I would love to learn about those, so be sure to leave a comment.
A word can give you a prayer focus. If God has given you a word, a next step is to begin to ask God why. What does He want you to learn as you focus on the word?

What’s Your Dream for 2017?
As I start 2017, I've been prayerfully considering what the dream for this year is. I'm all about having a word, but I'm also about having a dream. Two years ago it was selling my legal suspense series. Check. Last year it was about teaching in Italy over the summer. Check. Teach full-time at Purdue. Check.
These are those crazy, audacious dreams that God has graciously granted. But now I'm wondering...what's next.

Fiction Friday: Three Book Smorgasborg
Today, I want to introduce you to three books I have enjoyed...and they are all unique. Gotta love that. A bit of something for everyone. There the sweet contemporary romance Where Two Hearts Meet, which is a vacation to Prince Edward's Island. Then there's Julie Klassen's latest Regency novel The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill, which is much more than a romance. It's a richly layered story with a host of characters telling their stories. And last there is the Domino Effect, something of a financial thriller, with a love interest. All unique but good.
