An embarrassing realization #WIPItUp #romance #inspirational #courting #traditional #values

Some more Courted by Experience, Book Five of In Hyacinth for WiPItUp Wednesday. Celia came back for her courting year for a reason. But thinking about it and being faced with it are two different things.

"You have your first suitor tonight!" Nana said in excitement before she had even sat down at the table.

Startled, she half fell into her chair. "Really?"

"Mmhmm. His name is Larry Longley. I don't know him well but his grandmother Sally is one of my best friends. So we'll n...

13 favorite movies

I've seen where some bloggers do a Thursday 13 - a list of 13 items for any topic that seems to hit them in the moment. I thought I would give it a try as you really don't know me.

For my first Thursday 13, I thought I'd give you my 13 favorite movies of all time.

1. Operation Petticoat

2. Grease - the original, not the sequel

3. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner - again the original, not the remake

4. E.T.

5. Casablanca

6. His Girl Friday - with Cary Grant

7. Star Wars - the very first one

8. Raiders of t...

Don't let her railroad you #WipItUp #inspirational #romance #courting #InHyacinth

Happy WiPItUp Wednesday!

I hope you are enjoying In Hyacinth. I love this quaint little town. The first four books were about the relationships of friends Camille, Kathy, Stephanie, and Dora. Now, we see a courting from a relative unknown. Celia, whose mother took her away from Hyacinth when her father died, has moved back for her courting year. In this scene, she's meeting one of her cousins for coffee and gets some good info about her grandmother.

Cover Reveal for Courted by Experience #InHyacinth #inspirational #Courting #romance

Check out the cover for Courted by Experience, In Hyacinth, Book Five.

Courted by Experience
In Hyacinth, Book Five
Coming: March 26, 2015

Celia Compton is thrilled to be back in Hyacinth where she lived until she was eight. A year of courting to meet her prince sounds lovely, especially when combined with loving discipline. Unfortunately, sometimes reality doesn’t quite meet up with fantasy. The man she wants, Marcus Hotham, seems inclined not to court and yet the more she sees him, the more the...

Is there a problem? #WipItUp #romance #inspirational #courting #traditional #values

Happy WiPItUp Wednesday!

Here's another little snippet from Courted by Understanding, Book Four of In Hyacinth. It came out this last week so next week I'll start giving you snippets from Courted by Experience, Book Five. I love this scene. If you've read the previous books, you are familiar with Marjorie Farthing, a local pest who strives to make Dora feel worthless. Her and Gaelic's courting banns have just been announced here. Hello, Gaelic!

Just before her shift was up,...

A very freeing thought #WipItUp #traditional #inspirational #romance #courting

Happy WiPItUp Wednesday!

Here's another little snippet from Courted by Understanding, Book Four of In Hyacinth. Dora is on a picnic with Gaelic and finally really gets a look at how he sees her.
~~~~~
Watching as his thumbs rubbed lightly over the backs of her hands, Dora was sure nothing could be better than this very moment.
“I used to have such a crush on him,” she admitted and he looked up and smiled. “But he also kind of scared me. Really,” she said when he started to laugh. “...
