S is for Stonehenge
Okay, who else is extremely interested in Stonehenge? I have an incredible passion for it and hope to visit the original in England someday.
For now, though, I've got Maryhill Stonehenge, which is part of the Maryhill museum in Washington state. R is for Romance
I'll admit it. I love romance. The flowers, the romantic dinners, the opening the door for me...the whole package. Where did it go? It seems to mostly be in the pages of books nowadays. We need to raise our kids - both the boys and the girls that romance is a good thing.
But romance can take so many forms. I think when one character fights for another, it can be incredibly romantic. This snippet is from a WIP from In Hyacinth that may or may not be released due to the fact...

Q is for Quintessential
Everyone has what they consider is the 'quintessential' parts to have in a romance to truly catch my attention. And everyone's is a different list.
For me,
I need an HEA, though if it is a series about the same couple, then an HFN is okay until the ending, wherein I need an HEA.I need strong heroes, though not jerks. I like regular guys who have a few faults, but are basically good guys. Alpha males - by my definition - make it even better.I need heroines like me, so...

P is for Potter's Creek #SpankA2Z
P is for Potter's Creek
Who/what is Potter's Creek? It is the setting for an inspirational romance book I am writing. There will actually be no domestic discipline in this one. At least, not that I've come across so far, but it does take a larger interest in the religious side of romance. The first book's heroine is in her mid-twenties and has been passed by by the supposed 'good boys'. Little does she know of just what God has planned for her.

Courted by Time, Book 7 from In Hyacinth will be out in a few weeks so I thought I'd give you another snippet from it. DeLynn and her friend Chrissa went to Longdale to check out the community college. During their tour, she spotted a very good looking man who turned out to be the chaplain. Okay, I was going through my head looking for something fitting for today when it hit me. My favorite fantasy series from when I was a kid - Chronicles of Narnia. My grandfather bought me the full set and I read them until their pages were smooth as silk and the box they came in, cracked.
Being a child who grew up with stories I created about fantastical creatures and completely out of this world ideas, this series was perfect for me. It wasn't until about a decade later than I...

M is for Memorial Day Picnic
Given the fact that the Memorial Day Picnic is such a huge deal in Hyacinth, I thought I'd use it for M. The Memorial Day Picnic takes place on the last Sunday in May every year and is the town's largest event. Not only does everyone take part, but it kicks off courting season with all the new courtable girls out in droves. It's fun, quirky, and with each new writing of it, I find new and interesting things.

I can't imagine a better "L" word than Love, can you? I think many people miss out on love because they get to busy to work on it. There's a reason we still talk about 'knights in shining armor'. We love the idea of the guy coming and saving us. So many times, at least with dating, I find they tend to have lost their armor somewhere along the way and no longer know how to think like a knight. Thankfully, in fiction, we can make our heroes as knightly as we want.
