I think most of us have lost touch with our basic instinct. It kicks in when danger comes after us. You know "I see a werewolf coming." "RUN!"

I bet you could see that coming. One of the reasons I chose the name Hyacinth for the town my series takes place in is one of the 'meanings' for the flower is constancy. Okay, what is FCR? It's an acronym for Falls Chance Ranch, a series of DD stories involving a ranch in Wyoming. And as a warning, it is M/M. Well, actually it's M/M/M/M/M. However, it isn't erotic. I'm not even sure how to describe it as I could go on and on and on about it. It deals with the men who live on Falls Chance Ranch, as well others who have lived there in the past. Most of us, when we get into a relationship, we have to learn together all the ins and outs through fights, squabbles, and hurt feelings. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone a bit more experienced to help guide you through? It's one of the reasons in my In Hyacinth series that I have the heroes being around 10 years older than their female counterparts. Another reason is it is well known that women mature faster than men.

I'm sure that surprises nobody, but I'm not talking discipline as is seen in so many modern novels. To me, discipline is more than just a hand across someone's rear end. That is just one form discipline might take. I'm talking about a discipline relationship wherein two people agree on certain principles, created not from some 'rule book' but because those rules help. That should be no surprise if you've read anything on my blog or read my In Hyacinth series. There's something magical about the concept of courting. I'm not a fan of 'dating'. It reminds me of clothes shopping, having to try on millions of pairs of pants before finding the right fit. Ugh. No thank you.

Sometimes starting with the basics is a good thing because blogging for 26 days in June is a bit worrisome. That's a lot of days to fill.
