The Key To Reshaping Your Life
“The Kingdom of God is already among you.”
Luke 17:21 NLT
Today I want to talk to you about the importance of embracing a Kingdom mindset—and how you can reframe your world simply by reframing your mind.
Of course that’s no secret. The problem is that most of us don’t have an accurate or informed perspective of Kingdom realities.
If your context is wrong, your conclusion will be wrong.
The Church throughout history has fallen short in its mandate to mature and equip the saints with the strategies and principles necessary to bring His Kingdom to earth.
This is why I have been teaching on the process of spiritual maturation during our bi-weekly 4 Points Broadcast…
And it is why I am inviting you to attend Kingdom School of Ministry July 30-August 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Join me for 5 days of paradigm-shifting teaching and impartation!
Learn how you can take the lid off limitation, step into greater authority and influence, redefine your future, and prosper like you never thought possible.
I promise you that your life will never be the same.
You have the power to reshape your life and redirect your destiny, but you must invest in renewing your mind to make that transformation possible.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2
How do you renew your mind?
Through knowledge of the truth—”by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17)—by immersion in Kingdom-focused teaching and exposure to revelatory wisdom.
The Bible says you have been given everything you need to live in the fullness of all He has provided and accomplish all He has called you to do “through the knowledge of Him” (2 Peter 1:3).
But it is incumbent upon each of you, as Paul wrote in his letter to the Ephesians, to “be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Ephesians 4:23).
If you are serious about making the most of your life in Christ, plan now to join me July 30-August 5, 2017.
You will learn which paradigms are limiting you, how they were created, and why you need to make key transformational shifts—and most importantly, how.
You will learn deep truths about the Kingdom and how it operates, the true purpose of the Church, how to activate the principles of Kingdom economics, the dynamics of servant leadership, the proper protocols for operating in the prophetic, advanced strategies for prayer and spiritual warfare, and so much more!
“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32
Your paradigm will be permanently shifted.
And that’s how I know your life will never be the same.
This is what happened to me as I systematically studied the truths about the Kingdom of God found in the Bible.
Where the Church had failed to inform and equip me, where my education and degree in theology had left me spiritually powerless, I was able through my own immersion in the living Word of God to make the necessary shifts in my thinking.
Once your paradigm changes, everything changes.
Once you are able to establish the proper context, you are able to adjust your conclusions.
You can read the same verse of Scripture a hundred times from an incorrect context, and as a result it won’t deliver the power it actually carries to bring the transformation you need.
Paradigms are deeply rooted, and it can take deep work to shift them—yet in the right environment, this depth of change can happen instantaneously.
This is why the Kingdom School of Ministry experience is so important.
Through intensive, biblical teaching, powerful prayer and impartation, and an anointed, prophetic atmosphere—not to mention rubbing shoulders with other thought leaders and change makers—over the course of five power-packed days, you will not leave with the same paradigm you came with!
And if all you walk away with is one mission-criticial paradigm shift, that is all you need to change your life.
But you’ll walk away with so much more.
From the solid foundation provided by eight course intensives, to life-changing personal ministry, to fellowshipping with other world changers who will be your community for life—and the many other opportunities afforded you as a certified ministry school alum—you will be elevated on every level.
Plan now to attend KSM 2017 and reshape your life for good—and for the good of the Kingdom.

Discover Where You Truly Belong
“The Spirit we received does not make us slaves again to fear; it makes us children of God.”
Romans 8:15 NCV
In the afterglow of celebrating our mothers this past weekend, it seems appropriate to continue our conversation of growing up in the family of God.
We’ve been talking about the destiny-defining process of maturing spiritually—the 8 Stages of Spiritual Maturation.
Join me for the 4 Points Broadcast this Thursday at 7pm ET as we continue this series.
This week, we will be taking a deeper dive into the second stage of the maturation process—the tikto, or bonding stage, that I only briefly introduced last week.
You will learn how to recognize the signs of those who haven’t fully matured in this area—the symptoms of those who suffer from the spirit of an orphan.
More importantly, you’ll learn how to overcome this lack of bonding to grow into a place of belonging.
“To all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1:12 NLT
When you don’t grow up in Christ (see Eph. 4:15-19) enough to know how to exercise your right as a child of God, you will remain a slave to fear.
This is what the apostle Paul reminded the Romans in his letter:
“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption.”
Romans 8:15 NKJV
This Spirit of adoption that works in our lives is powerful; it is what infuses our lives with purpose, meaning, and belonging.
However, the wonders and workings of this Spirit enlivening us is only as powerful as we have knowledge of it—and are able to walk in the grace that such knowledge empowers us with.
“
But grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
.”
2 Peter 3:18 AMP
We must spiritually mature in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
If we neglect this process, we will remain bound by ignorance and fear.
Worse, we will never fulfill the greater purpose for which God placed us on the earth at this time in history.
If you don’t mature spiritually, you won’t fulfill your assignment.
You may begin to take steps in that direction, or fulfill a parallel calling that might feel aligned with your purpose, but you won’t maximize your potential in that area.
Knowledge is powerful.
Knowledge of the truth about who you are in Christ is the primary thing the enemy wants to keep you in the dark about.
“We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ.”
Ephesians 4:13 NCV
Can you imagine how we might change the world if we, as a body of believers, matured spiritually to the degree that each of us were actually “like Christ”?
“We will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people.”
Ephesians 4:14 NIV
Can you imagine a body of believers “fully grown” in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior?
“Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ.”
Ephesians 4:15 NLT
How might “growing in every way more like Christ” affect the heath of the Church, let alone its impact on a hurting world?
Until we are committed to our own spiritual maturity as individual believers—taking our proper place within the family of God—we will be ill-equipped to manifest God’s Kingdom on the earth.
This is why I’ve been focusing my teaching during our bi-monthly “virtual life group” on this process of spiritual maturation.
I invite you to join me this Thursday at 7 pm ET for the 4 Points Broadcast where you will learn life-changing keys to growing and maturing spiritually.
Don’t miss this hour of power where you and those you love can gather to receive divine downloads from heaven.
Learn how you can recognize the orphan spirit—and how you can step way from life as a spiritual orphan and into the realm of the Spirit of adoption.
“You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but…members of the household of God.”
Ephesians 2:19 NKJV
Sometimes all any of us need is to be reminded of the simple truth that as believers we are each beloved “members of God’s family” (Ephesians 2:19 NLT).
But also, that as members of this royal family, it is incumbent upon each of us to “grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, even Christ” (Eph. 4:15 KJV).
Let’s explore how we can do this together every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 7pm ET.
I’ll be looking for you on the live 4 Points Broadcast this Thursday!
P.S. If you missed any of the past sessions, you can watch them on demand right here.

Honoring Mothers
“God sent his Son who was born of a woman and lived under the law. God did this so…we could become his children.”
Galatians 4:4-5 NCV
God could have chosen any number of ways to show up in the world to redeem it.
But He chose to make His entrance as a baby born of a mother.
Mother’s hold a special place in God’s heart—and in His plan of redemption.
Through our 4 Points Broadcast, we’ve been teaching on the 8 Stages of Spiritual Maturation, beginning with the 1st Stage that starts in the womb.
Just as Jesus was formed in the womb before being born into the earth, so you and I must undergo the same maturation process.
In honor of mother’s everywhere, I want to help you grow up and mature into your full potential!
Growing up spiritually is so important.
And that’s why the enemy is going to fight you in this area—because your spiritual maturity is the anchor for every other area you live in.
If you can mature spiritually, every other area of your life will fall into place.
And as a result, God will be glorified.
This is why Peter urged us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
Why grace?
Because you don’t have to do it by yourself.
All you have to do is cooperate with the power of God working in you.
The Scripture says, “It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” (Phillipians 2:13).
This cannot be done in the flesh; it is done through the grace—and to the glory of—God.
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord…to Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.”
2 Peter 3;18
God wants to be glorified through you.
The way you glorify God is if you not only embrace the maturation process, but allow Him to bring you from behind the veil of obscurity into a place of prominence…
…a place where you can begin to make a difference not only in your family and your community, but also in your nation, and ultimately the world.
Growing up requires you to mature in all areas.
This grace does not only enable you to grow and mature spiritually, but also emotionally, intellectually, socially, professionally, financially, politically, as well as culturally.
But growth requires a connection with a life-sustaining source.
When a baby is born, it has to bond with its mother; if it doesn’t bond and fails to gain sustenance from its mother, the baby will die.
The 2nd Stage of Spiritual Maturation is the stage of bonding.
This stage is called tikto, a Greek word meaning, “to bring forth, bear, produce—as of a woman giving birth or the earth bringing forth its fruits.”
Remember, the first stage is gester—when you’re incubated and growing in the womb. When the womb gets too small and cannot accommodate your growth any longer, it rejects you and you are “delivered.”
You’re birthed from a realm of limited possibilities into a realm of unlimited possibilities.
Growth is not just what happens to the fetus inside of the womb, it’s what happens to the fully formed baby once it is delivered.
Once you’re outside of the womb and maturing, this is the stage of bonding—or what we might better understand by the concept of “covenant.”
How you conduct yourself within the context of your covenant relationships is a test of your maturity.
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
1 Corinthians 13:11
Most behaviors and habits don’t require that you pray it aside, but that you lay it aside! (See Hebrews 12:1.)
When you begin to mature in the things of the Lord, God is going to help you exchange your childish scripts for adult life strategies.
You’re going to speak like an adult.
You’re going to understand like an adult.
You’re going to think like an adult.
Paul said the sign that he was immature showed up in his speech, his understanding, and his thinking.
How you speak, understand, and think is a telltale sign of your maturity.
You must understand that actions cause outcomes!
There comes a time when you need to stop blaming your circumstances on the devil (although he doesn’t mind taking the glory), and take ownership of your own life.
At some point, you’ve got to be able to separate a demonic attack from poor life strategies.
“You desire truth in the inward parts.”
Psalm 51:6
This is where God is taking us—He’s taking us to the realm of truth, because if you can find your place of truth, you can find your place of maturity and liberty.
God wants to liberate you, and He wants to liberate you as you are matured.
In this second stage of spiritual maturation, where we undergo a bonding process, God is going to test your covenant relationships.
The tikto stage is when you recognize your destiny is attached to the covenants you’ve been assigned to.
Allow God to strategically position you by honoring those individuals to whom you’ve been assigned.
When you reach the second stage of spiritual maturation, this means that heaven has birthed you out.
It means that someone has prayed you into a new realm…and once you get there, you must submit to someone—or, in other words, you must be bonded to someone.
The tikto period comes when the fully formed fetus is thrust into a new realm of possibility…
…when a woman is transitioned into motherhood.
This also means that whenever God is getting ready to bring you into your next stage—whether spiritually, socially, economically, etc.—you must be ready to reinforce your covenant with Him.
You must be able to say, “God, I may not understand everything, but I’m not going to walk away from my assignment—I’m not going to walk away from my relationship—I’m going to reinforce my contract because I want to thrive in this period.”
Tikto is the shortest period in the spiritual maturation process.
This stage simply indicates that you are recognized as being able to thrive outside of the womb—that you are able to honor your bond and covenant.
God told Isaiah that those who hold fast to His covenant would prosper and be blessed for generations.
“Blessed is the one who does this…and hold[s] fast to my covenant.”
Isaiah 56: 2,4 NIV
This week, let’s honor that first life-giving bond we experience by celebrating our mothers!

A Nation’s Call To Prayer
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
”
2 Chronicles 7:14
This week in the United States, we recognize a National Day of Prayer.
Sixty-five years ago, on April 17, 1952, a bill was passed into law that each year the President would set aside an appropriate day each year, other than Sunday, as a National Day of Prayer.
Nearly twenty years ago, the first Thursday in May was designated as a National Day of Prayer “on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer at churches, in groups, and as individuals.”
Join me this Thursday, May 4, in interceding for our world’s leaders and on behalf of the multitudes of oppressed and displaced people around the globe.
As a nation—both here in the United States and as a holy nation of believers around the world—we can stand united in prayer.
Let’s not miss this opportunity to humble ourselves and seek the Lord for the grace, mercy, wisdom, and light this dark world so desperately needs.
I invite you to join me for a special presentation on the Kingdom this Thursday at 7pm EST on our 4 Points Broadcast.
Never underestimate the power of prayer to break regional strongholds, turn the tides of conflict, and open new doors for wise diplomacy and peaceful dialogue.
In fact, without prayer, none of these things are likely to happen at all.
This is why we are told to
“be strong in the Lord and in His great power.”
...Not our great power.
We are told that only by putting on “the full armor of God” can we ever hope to win against the forces of darkness at work in this world.
In Ephesians 6, the Apostle Paul made clear that there is only one way to fight the enemy—and that there is only one enemy we are at war with.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Ephesians 6:12 NIV
All of the world’s wisdom cannot hope to bring peace…but only the wisdom that is from above as James spoke of. (See James 3:15-17.)
We can intellectualize and debate, but as Paul told Titus, these types of pursuits don’t bear fruit—they are both frustrating and futile…
“Avoid foolish controversies…and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.”
Titus 3:9 NIV
So if all of the wisdom of the wisest scholars and all of the most learned discussions and debates are useless, what is there left for us to do?
Pray.
We are to simply humble ourselves before Almighty God and seek His face—“seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants” (Matt. 6:33 NCV)—and then we’ll have hope of living in peace.
“
First, I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him.
Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2 NCV
First and foremost we are called to pray.
It’s not complicated. It’s not difficult. Yet it is both our duty and our right. It is a privilege we must not take for granted.
I encourage you this week to get involved with this historic and cherished day of national prayer by visiting www.nationaldayofprayer.org.
“As citizens and residents of the United States and as believers in Christ Jesus, we not only have a spiritual responsibility, but a civic duty to heed our President’s call to stand in the gap for our nation.”
National Day of Prayer Task Force
Now is the time to rise up and take your stand by bowing down before your heavenly Father.
What are the injustices you see around you? What tugs at your heart or chastises your peace when you watch the news?
As the National Day of Prayer website asks: “Who but God’s people have the ability to enter into the very throne room of Heaven with prayers and petitions?”
“Scripture tells us again and again that our fervent prayer is effective. That our loving God responds to His children’s earnest pleas in mighty ways that avail much, and ultimately determine the course of history.”
National Day of Prayer Task Force
If you want to make history this week, be counted among those who boldly “stand in the gap” and pray.
Let’s turn the tide of world events by standing together in prayer throughout this week.
At this crucial time in history, we can do nothing more important than pray.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
Psalm 33:12

The Glorious Life
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God…because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
Romans 18:19-21
If you’ve been following our 4 Points Broadcast, you’ll know how critical it is that we grow up spiritually—both as individuals and as the Body of Christ.
All of creation is desperately waiting for you and I to fully come into our true identity—to know who we are…
When we get a revelation of who we are as children of God—called to manifest God’s glory in the earth—the world will never be the same.
This is why the enemy specifically targets issues surrounding our identity.
As a Body—and as individual believers—we scarcely have a clue about who we are, why we’re here, and the nature of the high calling on our lives.
Most of us don’t fully grasp what we are capable of.
If we are suffering, we’re not suffering from demonic attacks as much as we’re suffering from ignorance.
In fact, if the enemy is guilty of anything, he’s guilty of identity theft.
Believers today are suffering from a debilitating identity crisis.
When we find out who we really are in Christ, we’ll begin to live as God has instructed us to do.
We’ll begin to live as the head and not the tail—as first and not last—above and not beneath!
We are sons and daughters of the Most High God—the King of kings!
When we talk about spiritual maturation, we understand that God wants to manifest His glory through us.
In order for you and I to manifest God’s glory, we must fulfill our purpose.
God’s glory is organism specific.
Everything created displays glory. There is nothing that has been created that doesn’t display the glory of God.
There’s the glory that the sun displays—that the moon and stars display—that the earth and everything in it displays…
Everything that God has created exists to display His glory.
In Psalm 8:4-6 we read:
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet.
We must understand that we are created as carriers of divine DNA.
In the first chapter of Genesis, God said, “Let’s make man after our image and likeness and let them have dominion over everything in the earth.” (See Gen. 1:26.)
The substance that you are made of is God Himself.
“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;
let them have dominion…over all the earth.”
Genesis 1:26
The word “let” presupposes there are prohibiting forces that will prevent an individual from fulfilling an assignment, mandate, or God-given purpose.
When God said, “Let there be light,” we are given to understand there were forces inhibiting it.
In other words, light could not shine because of prohibiting forces. But then we read where the Scripture says,
“Thou shall decree a thing and it shall be established.”
Job 22:28
Until you are able to decree and declare by faith who you in the realm of the spirit—anti-God, anti-purpose, anti-Christ malevolent forces will prohibit you from manifesting the glory of God.
Remember, the glory of God is organism specific.
When you look at water, how does water glorify God? Or fire? Or a tree? Or an apple?
Whatever it is, it glorifies God by fulfilling its purpose.
In order for you to glorify God, you must fulfill your unique purpose.
Until you know who you are and immerse yourself in fulfilling your purpose—you will not succeed in glorifying God.
Your purpose will be found within the context of the 7-fold mandate given to humanity: to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, take dominion, live healthy, and be productive.
When you fulfill the directives God has given you from the realm of dominion—not from the realm where you are struggling to survive, but from a realm where you are thriving—God’s glory will be manifested.
When you are making a difference—providing solutions rather than being part of the problem—this is when you know you are glorifying God!
Until you are operating out of your true identity, fulfilling your assignment, and maximizing your potential by fulfilling your purpose—you have not glorified God.
This is why the message of spiritual maturation is so vitally important to not only the Church, but also the world.
God wants to manifest His glory through us.
The word “glory” spoken of in the New Testament is the Greek word dóksa, which corresponds to the Hebrew word in the Old Testament kabo, meaning “to be heavy.”
Glory speaks of God’s majesty, excellence, pre-eminence, and splendor—His worth, honor, beauty, goodness, and perfection.
When we are manifested as the sons of God, we will only be manifested because we are displaying His glory.
Having been made perfect in Christ.
See Colossians 1:28
God wants to display His glory—His excellence and goodness—through you and me in the midst of darkness, poverty, and struggle…
In other words, there is something that needs to be manifested.
Manifestation has the connotation of truth being disclosed—or something not known becoming known, or being revealed.
God desires to bring His children out from behind the veil—out of obscurity into the realm of prominence, influence, and greatness.
God wants to elevate you…
Yet elevation comes through maturation.
God elevates us through the maturation process.

The First Stage of Spiritual Maturation
“By the God of your father who will help you,
And by the Almighty who will bless you
With blessings of heaven above,
Blessings of the deep that lies beneath,
Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.”
Genesis 49:25
The first mandate given to humanity was to be fruitful.
Fruitfulness presupposes that Got has given you and I a seed. God didn’t say, “Be seedful”…He said, “Be fruitful!”
Fruitfulness means you’re going to have seeds.
When I started thinking about seeds, the image God put before me was of a pomegranate.
Did you know that a pomegranate has 613 seeds…and that there are exactly 613 laws that God gave His people in the Old Testament?
To be fruitful, all of God’s laws must be operating in your life.
And in order for you to operate according to these laws, you must mature spiritually.
This is why I am teaching on the 8 Stages of Spiritual Maturation in my bi-monthly Bible Study.
Please join me TONIGHT here in Atlanta for an in-person Bible Study!
I consider this is to be my own personal life group where we dig deep into the Word of God together.
If you’re in the Atlanta area, I encourage you to join our live studio audience as we film our 4 Points Broadcast.
Many people are not as fruitful as they could be because they are breaking spiritual laws—not out of rebellion, but out of ignorance.
There are laws of the Spirit we need to understand.
How do we function in this world?
How do we fulfill the purposes God has seeded within us?
We must grow up and mature spiritually.
This is why God is going to begin to incubate us again—He is going to take us back to a place where we are growing and maturing…because of things like prayer, fasting, Bible study, and devotions.
How many of you woke up this morning and had a time of devotion?
How many of you spend at least 15 minutes reading your Bible and at least another 15 minutes in a time of prayer every morning?
These are elementary practices.
We say we desire the wisdom of God, yet we don’t seriously pursue it. We say we want to hear from God, but we rarely take time to listen.
Sometimes God needs to get you into a place of spiritual incubation where it’s just you and Him—where you are not pulled away by distraction—where He begins to speak to you about your purpose and your destiny and your assignment.
God wants to speak to you about all He has for you!
Too many of us are preoccupied with our cell phones. A lot of people live by their cell phone! As soon as a notification goes off, they pick it up.
What about picking up the notification to read your Bible?
What about picking up your Bible when the Holy Spirit notifies you it’s time to read? Or it’s time to pray?
How many of you are so in tune with Heaven that you pick up the notification?
What we do during these times of incubation—in the womb, so to speak—determines to what extent we’ll mature.
Therefore, to grow and fully form, we must participate in the gestation process: the process of carrying or being carried in the womb between conception and birth.
The womb is part of the maturation process.
This is the first stage of spiritual maturation. You can’t skip this stage. Those who don’t undergo a proper gestation period are still born. Their purpose is aborted.
Even a baby that is born prematurely will spend time in an incubator. This is a critically important stage of development.
In this season, God is going to begin to do some amazing things.
I’ve learned that the word pomegranate means “to rise up” or “rising up.”
This is your season of rising up…for growing up into everything predestined for you.
God is about to reveal His glory to this generation.
The pain and discomfort that you are experiencing may not be because of the enemy, rather you may be in the throes of divine contractions.
You may be growing in the things of the Lord so much, but it’s a gestation season for you.
You’ve been fasting and praying while hidden in the incubator.
Nobody else knows what’s going on but you and God.
You know God has a great work for you…you know you’re anointed and have a great purpose.
Could it be God is incubating you and hiding you and developing you in the things of the Spirit?
Stop blaming people.
Stop blaming your boss.
Stop blaming the devil.
Stop aborting the seeds of potential God has sown in you. Stop aborting the Word God has spoken over your life.
Stop aborting your purpose and the answers to your prayers.
If you want to learn how to bring what God has seeded in your heart to full term, go listen to the 4 Points Broadcast on demand now.
I can only skim the surface of this powerful truth here. I believe if you take the time to listen to the entire message (download the app here and listen on the go), it will change the trajectory of your life.
“For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
You must be able to discern the seasons. But first, you must know how to recognize them.

Walking in Supernatural Power & Authority
“God has raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His own power.”
1 Corinthians 6:14 MEV
This is the time of year we as believers talk about the power of the Resurrection—and how that power is at work in each of our lives.
Actually, we don’t really talk about “how”…only that it mysteriously is.
If you’ve been following either this weekly blog, or the 4 Points Broadcast, you’ll know that as Christ’s disciples, we have a part to play in walking in that power and authority.
It’s called spiritual maturation.
Nobody is going to mature you for you.
The process of growing up spiritually involves choices you must make and strategies you must take responsibility for engaging in (see last week’s post “Strategies for Exponential Growth”).
This week, as we celebrate the Resurrection Life that Christ made possible by the work He accomplished on the Cross—and the legacy of divine power He made available to all who confess Him as Lord and believe He rose again…
Let’s talk about how we can activate that power in our daily lives.
How do we practically walk in supernatural power and authority as we go about meeting the demands of our increasingly busy lives?
For starters, you must understand what is meant by the concept of “power” as opposed to the concept of “authority.”
“I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy.”
Luke 10:19 NLT
What does the Bible teach us about authority—and how does it relate to “His power at work in us” (Ephesians 3:20)?
Many don’t realize that in order to exercise power, one must first have the authority to do so.
Authority is a precursor—or prerequisite—of power.
Think about it.
Isn’t that what the spiritual maturation process is all about?
When you mature spiritually, you are able to access new realms of spiritual power; maturity grants you access that you wouldn’t have otherwise.
This is why you can be an heir of a kingdom, but until you grow up and mature, you won’t have authority to wield power over that inheritance.
Spiritual maturity gives you access—or the divine right—to what already belongs to you.
The word for authority in Greek is “exousia”…which according to Strong’s Concordance means, “authority, especially moral authority, influence, (b) of a spiritual power, and hence of an earthly power: right or privilege, conferred power; delegated empowerment (authorization): delegated power as in authority God gives to His saints.”
The word power is the Greek “dunamis” meaning “might, power, marvelous works: (a) physical power, force, might, ability, efficacy, energy, ability (properly, ‘ability to perform’); power through God’s ability.” Dýnamis, according to Strong’s Concordance, “is a very important term, used 120 times in the New Testament.”
So what can we glean from this word study?
Spiritual maturity gives you the divine right to exercise God’s divine might!
If I were to ask you, “How is the power of God being manifested in your life?”…what would your answer be?
If you’re not seeing God’s power evidenced in your everyday life, I would challenge you to consider where you are in the spiritual maturation process.
Consider whether your lack of answers or breakthroughs or whatever it is you need that isn’t transpiring is a power problem or an authority problem.
“So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.”
Colossians 3:1-2 MSG
This is growing up spiritually.
We’re not often called to task when it comes to our spiritual maturity.
But in this season, as we approach this beautiful holiday that commemorates all Christ did for us on the Cross—and yet even more when He rose again—let’s look at how we’re making the most of what He has provided.
In Ephesians 5:15-17, we’re asked to walk circumspectly, make the most of the time, and “firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is” (AMP).
“Prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2 NKJV
God’s will is that you mature spiritually so you can walk in the kind of authority that allows you to wield the power He has made available through His death and resurrection,
This type of spiritual growth is a process. It requires intentionality. It requires you to be deliberate about what you are thinking, studying, speaking, pursuing, and doing.
You are always one decision away from walking in the fullness God has for you.
And that is what I want to equip you to do in our 4 Points Broadcast. This is my personal Life Group that I’m inviting you into every first and third Thursday of the month.
Plan now to join me next week as we continue to explore the 8 Stages of Spiritual Maturation.
Mark your calendar for Thursday, April 20th at 7pm ET!
Meanwhile, if you haven’t already, make time to visit the on demand archive. I know you will find the equipping and empowerment you need to walk in greater authority.
As we celebrate Christ’s resurrection, I challenge you this week to resurrect the power of Christ in you!
“It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you…you are delivered from that dead life.”
Romans 8:11 MSG

Strategies For Exponential Growth
“God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do…nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God.”
Ephesians 4:15-16 MSG
There is nothing more exciting than the process of growth—of increasing and expanding and building capacity to do and become more.
God’s heart for His people is that they would live expansive lives and “grow up in all things” (Eph. 4:15 NKJV).
To grow up entails a maturation process.
You might think that the topic of spiritual maturity isn’t as exciting as talking about changing the world or overcoming the enemy or tearing down strongholds—but if you’ve been participating in our 4 Points Broadcast, you’ll understand how rich this teaching is!
If you want to know how to develop break-though faith for supernatural provision, healing, influence, discernment, boldness—or bondage-breaking insight, revelation, and wisdom—join me for this LIVE small group study every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 7pm ET.
Don’t miss this week’s 4 Points Broadcast on Thursday at 7pm ET!
This concept of growth that we’ve been studying is a theme we find emphasized throughout the Bible, but it is especially central to New Testament teaching.
The word “grow” is associated with believers who are maturing.
It is a word that presupposes that we have the capacity for more.
So if we’re not growing in certain areas, we can confidently approach God in prayer and ask Him to show us where we are being restricted or hampered or limited.
God wants you to grow in all areas, yet there may be invisible lids that are keeping you from maturing spiritually, financially, relationally, socially, vocationally, and so on.
Ask God to reveal what is keeping you from growing in every area of your life.
You can pray like Jabez did for God to expand you—to increase your influence and build your capacity to do more.
Ask Him to show you how to think differently, speak differently, and understand differently. Ask Him to reveal new insights and new ways to perceive the opportunities around you for growth.
“Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast…”
1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV
Ask God to broaden your horizons!
Believe God for the prosperity you need to fulfill His purposes for you—the provision that will enable you to maximize your potential to affect positive change in the world around you.
Press into the promises of God to grow and mature into the benefactor He has created you to become rather than the perpetual beneficiary.
Take the limits off your potential to create wealth!
Your paycheck is not the harvest. Your current income is only the seed God has given you to cultivate—it’s the seed capital you’ve been given to convert into wealth.
To grow presupposes you have the capacity for more.
If you’re not getting or becoming more—if you’re in the same state emotionally, socially, financially…or if you have the same people, networks, or opportunities you’ve always had—there is a lid.
I decree that every self-imposed limitation—every demonic lid—every limitation that has been spoken over your life—is being lifted off of your life even as you read this.
I decree the heavens are opening over your life right now in this moment.
And that open heaven might come in the form of an idea, insight, or a strategy.
Because one insight or one idea that fuels a decision or a shift in your strategy will radically change your life!
A strategy is simply a course of action that you use for a specific outcome. You determine what you want, and then decide on a course of action you believe you need to take.
All of us have strategies, but not all of them take us where we want to go.
God is getting ready to change your strategy by giving you a new script…but you must be willing to exchange your childhood strategies for that new adult script.
We all have strategies, but they are often self-sabotaging because they are based on an immature script.
Don’t curse your situation, let your situation prophesy to you.
Rather than trying to fix the outcome, fix the strategy! Fix your script.
I can’t emphasize enough that when it comes to the word “grow”—it means you have the capacity for more. The focus here is on the capacity you have already been given.
What are you doing to leverage that capacity? Or rather, what are the lids inhibiting you from expanding it?
Who and what around you are placing lids on your life?
Identify the things that are limiting you.
If it’s your mindset, that means you have to upgrade.
How do you upgrade?
You grow intellectually.
How are you growing intellectually?
You read.
What are the books that you are reading?
Pray for God to show you the strategies you need to change your script, your narrative, your nature.
Growth is a process.
The process of growth requires a new way of thinking; it requires comprehension.
But this process also requires cooperation with what God is trying to do on your behalf, whether or not you comprehend it.
The process of growth requires the practice of faith.
Finally, you have to make an investment—a contribution. You have to cultivate the seeds you’ve been given whether intellectually, spiritually, relationally, or in whatever area you’re seeking growth.
Let me ask you today: How are you adding to your faith?
“Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:5-8
