His statue outside of AT&T Park, as it greeted me this morning following a cross-country trip from DC to San Francisco for the start of the NLCS. 283/366 The lineup card before the start of Game 5 with a baseball I bought that afternoon at Smithsonian. It’s has a logo and slogan from an Apollo mission, and it reads: “FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION.” In the ninth inning, the comeback Cardinals were down to their final strike five different times and still managed four runs to complete a rally from 6-0 down to win an elimination Game 5, 9-7, at Washington.
