310/366 On the drive home from Disney, we detoured from Montgomery to Selma, Ala., along the trail that my mom walked in 1965 with thousands of marchers, including Martin Luther King Jr., to protest for voting rights. The march was completed on its third attempt; the first was halted violently just outside of Selma. I had never been along the trail, and I felt it was important for my son to know what his grandmother did and why it was important.
