History Day......

History Day is back! And to kick us off, we have Amelia Earhart--in 1935, she became the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California--2 years later, she would disappear. I really want to know what happened to her.
1770, the first Rhubarb was sent to the US. Benjamin Franklin was the culprit.
1878, For the first time, milk was delivered in glass bottles by Alexander Campbell in New York.
1913, the first sedan type car was unvelied at the National Auto show in NYC, courtesy of the Hudson Co...

Happy New Year

Can't believe another year's gone!
Can't believe it's 2010! I would have thought we'd all be living like the Jetsons by now.
But the truth is, every new year is filled with possibilities. Filled with chances, opportunities and 365 brand new blank slates, just waiting for us to fill them.
So let's take advantage. Let's all make this the best year ever. Forget resolutions--we never keep them anyway. Let's just face each day as it comes and decide every morning to make it the best day ever.

Yep, still recovering from the big holiday bash!

Can't believe the year's almost over. 2010. Sounds weird, yes?
So what're your plans? Just thinking about putting your feet up and relaxing?

Chrsitmas Eve.......

The hurrying is done. The presents are wrapped. Cookies are on trays and the Christmas tree is shining.
On Christmas Eve, I wish you all the best of everything.
