Merry Christmas!

It's been a long time I know! But life got busy and between the writing and running my little corner of the world.......

Just wanted to stop in and wish you all a Merry Christmas--and to those not celebrating Christmas, I wish you the best of holidays!

May we all find the blessings of peace and joy and love in the new year and may we all continue to enjoy the kinds of books we love!

New Book out!

Before you say anything, yes I know. I'm a terrible blogger! I do think about posting here a lot, but usually I'm so busy writing, I don't get around to it. Bad, bad writer!

But I did want to tell you I've got a new book out! READY FOR KING'S SEDUCTION is on the shelves now!

This is Lucas King's story--Rafe, the construction guy's brother! And boy does he meet his match with his heroine! And.... coming in December is their brother Sean's story...THE TEMPORARY MRS. KING....

So many fun new reads! I really hope you all rush out and get your copy fast!

Your local author and terrible blogger thanks you!

New Release!!

Is he gorgeous or what?? That smokin' hot guy on the left is Rick Pruitt, the cowboy/Marine who is the hero in my newest release, available NOW.

ONE NIGHT TWO HEIRS is the first book in the new Texas Cattleman's continuity series and this is such a GREAT continuity you're going to love it. The storylines are fabulous and the list of authors contributing to it is just as amazing.

Of course, I love my book best! LOL But really have to say that I so enjoyed writing ONE NIGHT TWO HEIRS so much I hated to see it end.

Still, gotta love that cover! So don't wait! Get out there and buy your copy now! Get it at Amazon or wherever you love best to buy your books...and be sure to let me know what you think of it!

National Readers' Choice Award....

Look what I brought home with me from conference!

This award is one of the most lusted after prizes in RWA. And it means so much. Because THIS prize is awarded by readers. By women who know and love our books.

By the people who go out and buy our stories and allow us to do what we most love to do...write.

So, since I was too excited to be really eloquent in my thank you speech, to the members of OKRWA, thank you so much. This award means more to me than you can know.

Rebirth on Kindle...

This is really exciting for me!

One of my early historicals is now available on Kindle! SMALL TREASURES was one of my favorites.

I recently got the rights back to my early historicals and I'm giving them new life by making them available as ebooks.

Right now, its ONLY available on Kindle, but soon, I hope to get it up on all other ebook platforms.

It's really exciting to be able to give your much loved books a new life and I hope that my readers will love taking trips into Americana. This book is a western historical about a man so big and so strong, he's afraid to be around people--until one woman sees past what he is, to who he is and shows him that with love, anything is possible.

I'd really love you to take SMALL TREASURES out for a try and then let me know what you think.

RWA conference is coming...

Can't really believe conference is here again so fast, but it is!

Next week, a couple of thousand romance writers and readers will be gathering in New York City. (We'll be at the Marriott Marquis in Time Square if you want to stop in and say hi!)

For five days, there will be workshops, booksignings, meetings with editors, agents, fans. There will be time to visit with friends you speak to only in email all year long and there will be exhaustion, crabbiness, tears and laughter.

Once a year, we're set loose to play and we all look forward to it. The only downside........the plane ride.

The Dreaded Shopping

I loathe shopping.

I can't be the only one, right? I'm shopping for a few new things for RWA national conference and let me tell you....I'd rather face thirteen successive deadlines all within two weeks. Sigh.

So I tried to avoid stores by shopping online. BIG mistake. Worst part, the stuff never looks like the picture. Of course, the women in the pictures always look happy and shiny like the girl above. So then I end up not only not liking the stuff, but having to bundle it up and take it to the post office.

And THERE'S an exercise in futility. Twenty people in line and one woman behind the counter acting like she's on vacation in Tahiti...okay, clearly I'm too crabby to be blogging today!

How about you? Any shopping horror stories you'd like to share?

RWA conference

So, Romance Writers of America national conference is in a couple of weeks. Everyone's making their schedules and getting a little crazy......My suitcases will be out next week while I slowly fill them. And oh, dry cleaners.........make a note, make a note...

Anyway, I'm nominated for a RITA award this year, for my Christmas novella, The Wrong Brother. That's the RITA statue there on the left. Pretty, isn't she??

This is my seventh nomination and it's still exciting to have your book chosen as one of the best of the year. Even if you don't win, it's an amazing thing to be chosen as a finalist.

Of course, one of these years...I do want one of those statues.....
