Pursued, the Frog Princess

Read on Wattpad.com Princess Vasalisa fell from the PortHole into the Elfin gardens. She hid from Ole Fog, the Boneless, Immortal Death.

A dark, smelling, cold Fog crawled through the Elfin gardens searching. That mess of bitterness prowled, upturning houses and drowns the Elves circle of laughter. A humongous uproar blasted, and an argument heard.

The bitter Fog vanished as well as Hornet Warriors seen at the fight.

Next day, with a sherrie Troll Grunda Faye of the Elfin gardens dis...

Time tunnels when We Travel

Time Traveling in the InBetween

I borrowed this analogy from our ways of traveling. When driving a car, riding a train, flying in an airplane, or voyaging on a ship, we move through time and space to a destination. We enter a protective frame: our car, plane, train or boat, the PortHold. Then we drive, ride, fly, or float through the InBetween of vast experiences, We disembark at our destination, the next PortHold: a parking lot, train station, airport, or ship dock. Video games, television...

Why FOG as a nemesis?

"The bitter fog blew into our Meeting Lodge and threw papers, chairs, and pictures around. Then it blew into our School House, knocking over our desks and chairs. Our books and paper flew everywhere. The fog slowly crawled through the lower yard, then disappeared into the PortHold. I thought this must be death. But for whom, we, the Elfin folk nor Faeries die; we are ageless. Maybe the Trolls die?"

Reasoned, Barren Flynn, the Elfin Prince of the OakGrove gardens as this fractured tale begins...

Excerpt from PURSUED, Vasalisa, the Frog Princess

"The bitter fog blew into our Meeting Lodge and threw papers, chairs, and pictures around. Then it blew into our School House, knocking over our desks and chairs. Our books and paper flew everywhere. The fogs slowly crawled through the lower yard, then disappeared into the PortHold. I thought this must be death. But for whom, we, the Elfin folk nor Faeries die; we are ageless. Maybe the Trolls die?" mused Barren Fly, the Elfin Prince of the OakGrove Gardens as the tale begins from the Elfin's...

Part 10 - Today we honor FIRE.

On our birthday cakes, FIRE sits and slowly eats the candles which represent our years of life. We make a wish on FIRE’s contained enchantment, charm, and magic while FIRE eats. Then we make a wish and blown FIRE off the candle. FIRE stops eating and the candles smoke. As we take the candles from the cake, we lick off the icing. Then we cut the cake offering pieces to our guests to celebrate our next year of power, happiness, and growth.

Part 9 - Bertha Digby restores the woods.

There are those among us that love Mother Earth and help heal hurts of FIRE. Because of a squirrel, Bertha Digby with her enthusiasm and the animals’ as her helpers, the destroyed woods grew into a forest mightier than the burnt woods.

To this day, Bertha Digby's great, great, grand children guard the trees, bushes, and flowers while directing the visiting humans to walk on the paths and keep campfires in pits. I respect great, great, grandmother's Bertha Digby's work who saved the woods...

Part 8 - FIRE eats everything.

The Hunters stole their FIRE. The one who stole FIRE showed the other hunters how to hold their sticks, far enough away so the flames wouldn't devour the flesh, close enough so FIRE feasted only on the juices that dripped from the yams, squash, and fish.

With each drop of juice that fell into FIRE, the hunters watched flames flare and heard the sizzling greed of FIRE's appetite.

The children placed their emptied cooking sticks into FIRE and the ends burnt into a glowing embers. They dance...

Part 7 - The Monkeys show FIRE to a Hunter.

Grandma Spider explained and showed her cousins how the Sky People contained FIRE. "Dig a hole in the earth for a pit. Sit stones around this hole for a hearth and fill with wood to feed FIRE.” She placed the spark of light on the wood. "Trees hold FIRE which will burn and make warm light. Always thank the trees that give FIRE.”

Only the Monkeys took the offering back to their jungle. The Monkeys sat around the light and heat and held sticks with yams within the reaching flickers of...
