Sinossi: Poligono di Semipalatinsk, 1965. I sovietici avviano il Test Chagan, primo esperimento di esplosioni nucleari sotterranee. Ma è solo una copertura, nelle gallerie di un bunker si sta tentando di creare soldati capaci di adattarsi alle condizioni estreme di una guerra termonucleare. Ben presto, però, alcuni soggetti sfuggono al controllo, rendendo necessario il trasferimento in una nuova base segreta nascosta sotto la futura centrale di Chernobyl. Mentre il professor Petrov, scienziato segnato dagli orrori vissuti e ossessionato dalla sua creatura, ormai perduta, scivola nel baratro dell'alcolismo e della follia, efferati omicidi e strani avvistamenti nei pressi di Chernobyl seminano il terrore, alimentando una caccia all'uomo che porterà, a distanza di vent'anni, dopo l'esplosione del reattore numero 4 della centrale nucleare V.I. Lenin, a una sorprendente e drammatica resa dei conti.

My novel SHANTI will be released in 2019 by Necro Publications

Countersigned the contracts for the publication in English of my novel 'SHANTI', to be released in Q2 2019 by Necro Publications, a 'cult' publisher, the leader in modern hardcore horror since 1993. The book will be published in trade paperback, limited hardcover and digital edition.

My latest dark poetry collection WAR (written with Marge Simon, Crystal Lake Publishing, june 2018) reviewed by Angela Yuriko Smith.

"Beautiful words for an ugly topic—War by Marge Simon and Alessandro Manzetti lay bare the bones of conflict and display them, every detail, for us to examine from the safe confines of our living rooms.
Raw, political and very real, these poems don’t hold back with their messages. The imagery is vivid, painting a mural of death across the reader’s mind. The poems don’t focus on any particular war, but offer a varied box of experiences. From jungle to desert and everywhere between, we are given a glimpse of the tragedy we wreak upon ourselves.
Without sounding like a 70s protest, the verses in War don’t come across as judgmental. They state facts and provide the experience so that we may judge. Besides the lovely writing, I have to give major credit to the illustrator as well.
Stefano Cardoselli has taken my breath away with his complex and engaging images. Darkly humorous, I found myself spending as much time looking at his art as I did reading and thinking about the poetry.
A wonderful book, I highly recommend it and wish Simon, Manzetti and Cardoselli all the best with this powerful book."

"With its absolutely stunning cover art by Wendy Saber Core, and provocative interior images by Stefano Cadroselli, War: Dark Poems is a fitting production for a collection by two of the world’s best contemporary poets: Marge Simon and Alessandro Manzetti. It’s Manzetti’s fifth poetry collection, and Simon’s tenth, so they know a few things about putting together a thematically cohesive collection. War does exactly that, bringing together 32 stunning poems, some solo, some collaborative, and set in a range of battlegrounds spanning history and cultures. The poems are chillingly brutal, imbued with the waste and the depravity of war, but the way these poets tell describe it is bewitching, the images too startlingly vivid to look away. In these lines, where children are “cut to pieces, scattered everywhere, like pomegranate seeds freed from their peel” and “Ezra and Emmanuel are sewn together”, there are moments of softness too, tiny snippets of beauty to lull us into complacency, like cloaks thrown carelessly over chairs, and a soldier’s letters “scented with Muguet”. A sublime collection from two of the best. "
