I entered the Self Published Fantasy Blog-Off contest.
Max Hamby and the Blood Diamond has been assigned to Bookworm Blues. I am very excited and nervous. All the books in my group are so great with loads of great blurbs, covers and reviews. We'll see how it goes. Very exciting!

Happy Sunday, my friends & readers,
Was your weekend a great for you? I hope so.
Mine was pretty good. There was family time, chapter 10 is finished and chapter 11 has been started and guess what?
I FINALLY remembered to take the pics several people have been requesting to see of the crazy way I write. lol. I also have a pic of the gnome from the book series. He's still in drying mode and not painted, but will definitely post a pic when he's completely done.
Below, you'll see my little inspirational corner where I write/create.
The first five books in the Max Hamby series are on the shelf above that chaos. lol.
The first pic shows how much MH stuff is stacked underneath my desk. The second pic is a much neater view, which also includes the pink and green binders for book 6 and seven.
So, here we go, my friends. Have a look. ;)
And now, the gnome. I've never made a gnome before and think he came out really well. I did his hat separately. Unfortunately, it was on another shelf in the pic below. It'll be on his head when he's finished, though.

Happy Saturday!
It's a bit rainy and gray here, but no matter, still a good day.
I hope all is well with you and yours. I have a couple of things for you for today (or by the end of the day).
First book 6, Max Hamby and the Amethyst Guardian is moving along nicely. Chapters 7, 8 and 9 are done. Chapter 10 is a doozy with a big fight scene and I'm working my way through that. I should have it done by the end of the weekend.
The giveaway on Instafreebie went well with 16 downloads. No reviews yet. Crossing my fingers that the new readers enjoy the first book.
The Read Self Publish giveaway for the month of April also went very well.

When I haven't been writing, I've been sculpting one of the characters from the book. I love to sculpt and thought it would be fun to bring some of the MH characters to life. It's one of the gnomes. He's still in drying mode and unpainted, but I will take a pic and show you a bit later.
And finally, speaking of pics. I keep forgetting to take a pic of all the work I've done on the Max Hamby series. I write long hand and tend to write the manuscript over and over until I feel it's good enough to be typed into the computer. Alot of paper, binders, pens, etc. Because the way I write is unique (weird, etc.) a few people have asked what it looks like. I will have that pic for you with the gnome a bit later, too.
That's it for the moment, my friends. It's time to get back to chapter 10.

Max Hamby series - Renny Scrine
Renny Scrine grew up in a magical family, unfortunately he never developed any magical abilities of his own.
He was never treated any less by the Scrine family though, instead he was encouraged to find something he was truly good at.
It turned out that Renny had a way with animals.
As a young man, he traveled and learned all he could about the creatures and animals he came in contact with.
That's not to say there weren't dangerous moments.
For instance, there was that one time he encountered a very hungry goblin who had just escaped from an auction at Grimhold
Market or the orgre that wanted nothing more than to squash Renny for waking him up during his mid morning nap.
But, it was the gift of friendship from his great grandfather's bayard, Leofwin, that taught Renny more than he ever thought
possible. Leofwin and Renny's relationship grew and they are tighter than ever to this day.
