Make a Wish (2023)

 The plot of Make a Wish is interesting, a doctor, Phakphum, is able to see ghosts and he asks help to an angel (thai version of angels) to have this ability removed; the angel, Krit, possesses the body of one of Phakphum's patient, who is brain-dead, to be able to walk in the human world and in the meantime he falls in love with Phakphum. So yes, not bad, but it wasn't well played; both of them seemed out of role, starting from Phakphum, who has the look of a rock star more than a doctor... I'm not sure in real life they would allove to a multipled pierced doctor to work in a respectable hospital (lets aside the hygiene rules...). I also didn't particularly feel chemistry between Phakphum and Krit... actually the only once my romance thirst was slightly quenched was with the bad guy ghost who didn't want to leave his lover. HEA. Heat Level: 3/6.

Love Syndrome III (2023)

 OK, I think Love Syndrome III is a good example of how you can enjoy a BL series since it's so bad. The past of Day and Itt is horrible, their relationship started from a rape, Day raped Itt since Itt basically planned with Gear for Gear to rape Night, Day's brother. Yes I'm not joking. Now both Day and Itt, and Gear and Night are in loving relationships, and Day is this character out of a bad action movie (should we talk of the moment he is fighting and he decides to kiss Itt in the meanwhile?). I already noticed it, Lee Long Shi is sometipe of martial arts expert, and therefore they always have him show it off. Anyway, why I enjoyed it? becuase it's funny more than realistic, and Day and Itt are bickering and having sex at the same time, at least they are giving me some thrill. The rape was in the past, yes, by principle, you should not like Day or Itt, but this is fiction not reality. HEA. You can see it on Viki and WeTV. Heat Level: 5/6.

La Pluie (2023)

 La Pluie had an interesting concept, two soulmates who can hear each other talking during rainy days, but sincerely it failed in making me interested in the romance. Patts and Tai are cute, and I really hoped for the love story to be interesting, but again I found the usual thrope of wanting/not wanting, legs go on a field trip, maybe something happens, OK it happened, but lets put some unecessary drama, lets make peace, HEA. As I said, maybe I have seen to many of them, and they need to be very particular to make them interesting. You can see it on iQIYI and Viki. Heat Level: 5/6.

Sahara Sensei to Toki-kun (2023)

 I was a little bit worried about Sahara Sensei and Toki-kun, because, yes, lets admit it, I'm not fond of the student/teacher pair, it always gives me the idea there is a unbalanced power dynamics, that there is someone older taking advantage of someone younger and impressionable. This is not the case of this series. First of all the age difference is relative, I would say 17 against 22 or 23. Second, while it's not the first time Sahara falls in love, it's the first time he had the chance to physically live this love; third, and most important, Sahara is strictly maintaining the relationship to a student/teacher level till Toki is graduating high school. Only then, Sahara is allowing for their feelings to fully develop. So yes, I really enjoyed this series, it was funny, cute, sweet, everything I wanted from an high school romance, nothing inappropriate for the ages of these characters. Toki is a wonderful character, so naive and yet so aware of himself and of whom he loves. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala and iQIYI. Heat Level: 2/6.

Individual Circumstances (2023)

 Individual Circumstances was not bad per se, but I found it a little complicated, and it started very slow, therefore it was not able to catch my interest. Overall it was original, at least it detoured a little bit from the usual thrope of former fellow college students falling in love in college, but indeed the romance between Ha Yeon Woo and Sung Woo Jae is not developed much, and, again, it didn't spark interest in me. Maybe it was too much brainy, if someone is searching something slightly more original in the storyplot, this could be a good chance. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala, iQIYI and Viki. Hidden Agenda (2023)

 Hidden Agenda is not particular original, an enemies to lovers thrope without much surprises. It's clear from the beginning that Joke is already interested in Zo, and he uses the excuse to help Zo conquer his love interest to get near him. Of course Zo is at first unsettled, but after a bit fall for Joke, who is basically the perfect boyfriend, if not for the fact that Zo didn't believe he was interested in men. The biggest value of this series are the kisses between Joke and Zo (I'm not joking), other than that, nothing to talk home about. HEA. You can see it on Youtube. Heat Level: 4/6.

Happy Merry Ending (2023)

 Happy Merry Ending, as the title suggests, is a classical love at first sight romance. There is a little bit of drama, due to a past abandonment trauma of Seung Jun, but nothing huge. There is the usual break-up, to then get back together happier than before. If I have to be true, in this case, I even liked the two opponents of Jae Hyun, both entangled with Seung Jun: his best friend, who harbors an unrequited love for him, and even the former manager, the real villain of this story. This series was not extraordinary, but cute enough to make it enjoyable. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala and Viki. Heat Level: 3/6.

Love for Love's Sake (2024)

 I'm pretty much sure that I didn't fully understand Love for Love's Sake; the concept of the game Tae Myung Ha was playing with the target of making Cha Yeo Woon happy was, and remained, obscure. Sincerely I did enjoyed the love story between Tae Myung and Cha Yeo Woon, and every time the "game" made its appearance, it was just a disturbance. For example I didn't understand why there was a system error when Cha Yeo Woon said I love you, what is more happy than being in love? Anyway, I think the characters were nice, the plot needed some polish. But overall, I enjoyed the series, which was mostly sweet. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala. Heat Level: 2/6.

Destiny Seeker (2023)

 I found the starting point of Destiny Seeker quite unrealistic, college dorm seniors choosing the juniors to join based on beauty, athletic skills, intelligence and I don't remember the fourth... Songkhram, despite not being particularly handsome according to me, is in the beauty dorm, Ai was selected for both beauty and athletic dorm, but preferred to go to the athletic dorm. In the three years they went to college together, a clandestine relationship starts, clandestine not because they are both men, but because they are from rival dorms... Again this series is not particularly original, and is main worth is on being a little more sexier than other. Nice insight on what will wait in the future for this college time lovers. HEA. Bake Me Please (2023)

 Sad to say, but the main worth of Bake Me Please are not the mouthwatering cakes but the eye candy, i.e. the guys running the patisserie. Shin in primis. "Ohm" Thitiwat Ritprasert has confirmed that is enough for him to be in a series, to make it worthy to watch... joke aside, Bake Me Please is not bad, but it's sort of boring, same old thrope of the enemies to lovers, young chef, good but uncultured, vs older chef, very good and skilled. So yes, I liked the interactions between Shin and Peach, this series is sexier than others, but other than that, nothing more. HEA. You can watch it on GagaOOLala. Heat Level: 5/6.
