Meet Author R.K Gleason!
Today's Monday Blues Buster, comes in the form of R.K Gleason! Incredible Author, Incredible Person with an Incredible wife!! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your work with us!
R.K. Gleason was born in Grand Island, Nebraska in 196-something. He grew up, and spent most of his adult life living in Seattle.
In late 1999, he met the love of his life, left his home in Seattle and moved to Ohio. Currently, R.K. lives in Columbus, Ohio with his best friend, and gorgeous wife, Petra. They have four children, currently two grandchildren, and ABSOLUTELY no pets.
While R.K. grew up with a naturally vivid imagination, although his friends might argue some of it was self-induced, he seldom put his thoughts to paper.
At the age of forty-eight, after the inspiration came to him in a dream, he began his first novel. On that day, The Truth Death and The Michele Shepard Series came to life.
The True Death - Blurb (book 1)
Headed for some well-deserved shore leave, Shepard is gunned down in the streets of Seattle, a victim of “a mugging gone stupid”. He awakens, not in a hospital bed, but in the surreal world of Purgatory.
Within seconds of his arrival, he is saved from a gruesome and painful end, by his new best friend Horace. That’s Quintus Horatius Flaccus, the philosopher, to you Roman history buffs. Horace explains to Shepard the cold, hard rules for surviving in Purgatory. More than just the walls have ears, and he’s not sure how long Shepard will last.
The Vengeful Death - Blurb (book 2)
It’s been one year since the incident at The Lazarus Tower, and the destruction of the Hemo-goblins. Shepard and Andrea are in love, and Horace is beginning to move past Matthew’s unintended betrayal. But all is not well in Purgatory.
A powerful, hidden Angel is on the prowl, and he doesn’t like Matthew’s protection of Shepard and Horace. He’s planning to deliver his own judgment, to exact a pound of flesh or two for their audacity, and focuses his attention on Matthew.
Matthew knew it was only a matter of time before he’d be called to atone for his actions. Now he waits to reap the fate he has earned. But this Angel’s retribution won’t be laid on Matthew alone. He’s decided all of them will suffer.
Friendships will be tested and old enemies battled. Vengeance will reign, as impossible choices are made if any of them hope to see another day in Purgatory.
