The New April flock of Thirteen Myna Birds is here!
"Whether in the Black Lodge, Screaming outside - worm lips moving - I’ve earned those black hearts on my headdress - there’s been an accident on the road ahead and all you can see are the lights - You celebrate angrily - Full of nothing But male doms On FetLife - A man with tattoos of stars and moons on his face - breathless wind of dust and waning moons - Only buzzards fly in these stale skies - Rusty lava in the arteries not the lamp - I really did believe those were tiny people encased in that orb - Don't forget to celebrate this doom anniversary - the eyes of the deceased being carried away down some tunnel - Whatever it was, it was everywhere now, shared around, not just personal."The April flock of Thirteen Myna Birds has arrived! Brimming with strange new suns and moons and peculiar tunes of art/poetry by Eileen Mish Murphy, Wayne F. Burke, Thursday Simpson, Nate Maxson, Vin Whitman, John Grey, and Michael A. Griffith.Dive in HERE - https://13myna.blogspot.com/

"Like an insectile heart eater, filled with blood and guilt.
I didn't mean to bite
or swallow, but sometimes
we can't resist our unaligned cravings.
My weaknesses outweighed
my own strengths again or
maybe it was the other way around."

LOVE CAN BE A CHOKECHERRY / AN INTERVIEW WITH POET JULIET COOK
"She describes her style as, “emotional hailstorms (based on and derived from thoughts/feelings/memories) that are redirected and reshaped into poetry, sometimes more direct and other times more abstract. Often on the dark side.”"(Thank you very much to Bekah Steimel and Shannon Steimel for conducting this interview with me!)

my way
I got my little reading lists figured out for the next two weekend's poetry readings I'm participating in, because I'm an advance planner, or else I tend to freak out (sometimes I freak out a bit anyway). I chose eight poems to read for my ten minute time frame this Saturday - and then I'll read the same eight poems plus another seven for the longer reading I'm supposed to give the Friday after that. Lots of dolls, holes, slightly gruesome girly horror, blood, red eyes, and rotting apples, because that's the way I roll. Some people might hate my stuff; a few people will like it. I do it my way either way. Hopefully, I'm in a good mood and don't dislike myself those days.
