A NEW Review of EVIL ME by MISH (Reviewed by John Yamrus at Cultural Weekly)
"I remember reading Evil Me while sitting on the couch in their tv room that served double duty as a photo studio for Eileen. One of the walls was covered in a black drape – background for some of the portraits she made. And I don’t know what it was, exactly – maybe it was having that black wall staring me in the face when I first read those poems – but, I was blown away. I can still remember the feeling I had…I sat back and looked up at the ceiling. I didn’t know where to look or how to think or what to say."

DISCOMBOBULATORY
My brain feels really discombobulated today. I felt (still feel) so randomly upset and bothered by little things and big things all discombobulating together in my brain that all I've gotten done in the course of more than two and a half hours has been responding to one question about Blood Pudding Press, binding one poetry chapbook and placing it in an envelope, started binding another chapbook but somehow fucked it up to the point that I had to cut out the yarn, rip off the cover, and start over with another cover (now that one is finally designed and on the floor, waiting to be placed in an envelope), probably yelled out a random, angry FUCK YOU in the overly long process, started a pot of coffee, called my boyfriend and had a long hissy fit in various different directions about some of the things that are bothering me then drank half a cup of coffee. That's my day so far.
Oh and feeling randomly embarrassed and like I should delete some of my own photos and pissed off and like I give the wrong impression or give no impression or give multiple impressions at the same time or who the hell knows what impression(s) I give.

One more Juliet Cook Pandemic Portrait by Collin J Rae
This is the last one of these Pandemic Portraits I'll be posting for now.
I really appreciate Collin J Rae taking all these artsy pandemic portrait photos of me.
I usually don't really like looking at myself all that much (other than to see what I look like), but with these warped creations, I can look at myself from all these different angles and lenses and weird shapes and sizes and colors and hybrid creature-ization that makes it feel way more interesting. Kind of like visual poetry and open to various interpretations.
Sometime in the next few days, I need to download the rest of my August photos off my own camera and phone and I'll probably have more of my own selfies on there. I don't remember what's on there; I'll see when I download it. All I remember is a few sock photos, a few black flower photos (before it dies), and trying to zoom in and make my thigh look triple it's actual size so that I look like I have a small head with the legs of a grotesque giant..
Maybe I took some more poetry chapbook photos too.
