designer vagina

Perhaps better than performing a botched surgical procedure upon one's pet (see previous entry) would be performing an oddly artsy preservation procedure upon one's pet. Read my article about rogue taxidermy here:

Yesterday I kind of had to wonder about myself when I spent at least ten minutes of my online time scrolling through before & after photos of laser vaginal rejuvenation surgery. What was I doing and why?

Today,

surgery

I had an awful little dream last night, in which I had to perform some sort of surgery upon my Boston Terrier. I had to use an implement that looked like a large pizza cutter to make an incision around the perimeter of his body, beginning at the white underside of his throat and then all the way around, along each of his sides towards the back and under his tail. I dreamed two consecutive variations of this same dream.

In both versions, Sockeye was not anesthetized, but neither was he squirming

better news--Blood Pudding Press poetry, the dead, the velvet...

At night, the dead: is a darkly delectable poetry collection written by Lisa Ciccarello, one of the winners of the Blood Pudding Press chapbook contest.

The lovely cover art was designed by artist Emma Trithart.

The cover stock is pale gray, deckle-edged; the text stock is ivory, deckle-edged.

The pages are hand-numbered and spider-stamped.

This luscious tome is bound with ribbon and will also be tied up with a small expanse of luxurious black or dark red velvet.

rejection

June is feeling a bit icky. I ordinarily have a high ratio of acceptance for my submitted poems, but lately I seem to be experiencing more rejection than usual. Maybe it's just a FEELING of rejection and hopefully it's just a phase.

Still though, it feels bad enough being rejected from the job market for months & months--and now even my poems are getting rejected. Boo hiss.

Meanwhile, my skin is breaking out, I feel middle-aged and unsexy, my latest black ink jet printer cartridge had an unduly sh

latest creative business

I sold out of my official copies of MONDO CRAMPO a couple months ago. They were published by Dana Teen Lomax for the dusie kollektiv 3 and were really slick-looking with bright red see-through covers and brad bindery, but alas, they are gone.

Well, I was recently asked for a review copy of MONDO CRAMPO and I remembered that Dana Teen had sent me some extra loose innards that she had leftover after assembling the chapbooks--basically, everything except the sleek red cover piece and the bindery har

dream

Since my pet was now a small flying insect, it was quite difficult to keep track of him when I let him outside. I'd have to keep my eyes diligently trained on him as he flitted around the yard.

Imagine trying to keep your eye on a mosquito inside your house, but replace your house with the great outdoors and replace your smashing death wish with feelings of fondness and solicitude, underlied with stressful high anxiety.

'Oh no!' thought I at one sudden dreadful moment. 'What if he flies into tha
