Ethel Volume 6 is now available online and includes my poem, "Red Glass Ceiling"

"And you need to bleed out the madness screaming inside you.
Feel it drip and drip and drip into a wine glass. Fill yourself
back up, temporarily. You think you're always a work in progress,
attempting to raise yourself up to the top of the ceiling.

And then crash down."

part of my poem, "Red Glass Ceiling", which appears in Ethel Volume 6, which you can now read all of online, HERE - https://www.ethelzine.com

A NEW publication of an OLD poem of mine in Sein und Werden's Of Human Bondage Issue

I've been having more trouble than usual lately with concentrating and focusing my energy the way I usually try to do, so am sharing this a little late, but am finally still sharing it.

The NEW issue of Sein und Werden includes an OLD poem of mine called "FOOTAGE".
My poetry style has changed to certain extents over the years. I think I used to be more language-based and now I'm more emotions/thoughts/feelings based. Plus of course some of my emotions/thoughts/feelings have changed over the years too. I think most if not all of my styles can be mental, visual, and horrific in one way or another.http://www.kissthewitch.co.uk/seinundwerden/winter20/page39.html?fbclid=IwAR06ZdF47Yy-pxRd_8WjoNgDNSvGrYWOhl3I1sd6WNnBuGT-h8yPpkz0I4U

Another NEW Review of the Blood Pudding Press poetry chapbook, "i saw god cooking children / paint their bones" by john compton

"...short stanzas of lowercase letters without punctuation (think e e cummings on acid)...both straightforward and strangely esoteric. I'm not sure I understood many of the poems, but the ones that spoke to me resounded on a basic level.

In the midst of much disturbing imagery, he sometimes inserts the beautiful."

Barred Owl

Darryl and I recently saw an owl at the park and I got a few pretty good photos! We're pretty sure it's a Barred owl.

I was a little nervous about taking the photos, but it just sat there and looked at us.

From an online site that shares the Symbolic Significance of Owl According to Type, a Barred owl: "Stands for vivaciousness, knowledge of personal boundary and generosity. Its dark brown eyes indicate your deep connection to the cosmos and your creative ability."

I love the deep connection and creative ability parts.

I also find the knowledge of personal boundary part pretty interesting and relevant in this time, because I have pretty serious boundaries related to the pandemic and am extremely stressed out by how many people don't or just choose to ignore.

I can't speak for Darryl, but I think he's very generous with a certain select few people (including me

A NEW Review of the new Blood Pudding Press poetry chapbook, "i saw god cooking children / paint their bones" by john compton

"These pieces stitched together in artistic fashion by a wonderful small press look to creators who fall out of love with their subjects. A parent treating its child poorly for how they're born is like a god prone to damn all humanity without giving it a chance. Plenty of honest pictures lie within these beautiful pages. Every one of them unique.

- Tim Heerdink, author of Razed Monuments, The Human Remains, and Red Flag and Other Poems"

Thank you very much to Tim Heerdink for his wonderful review of the new Blood Pudding Press poetry chapbook, "i saw god cooking children / paint their bones" by john compton
