#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* APRIL 30, 2016 *~*

With the end of the month, comes the end of my #WIP. Sharing the snippets and getting your feedback has been a great experience.I read the comments and tried to answer your question within the story.

Last week’s snippet showed us a little inside on Clay’s and Aaron’s fight, but as I promised, there’s a HEA for them. As soon as I publish this post, I’m finishing the epilogue. And tonight, I’m sending the last twenty-five percent to my beta readers.

I think that next weekend, we are going to ge...

Reader? Writer? Reviewer?

2016 #ROW80 Round 2:Check-In #7

One thing I can’t stop doing, even when I want to get a career out of writing, is to stop reading. I consider myself a chain reader. As soon as I finish one book, I move to the next.

I love talking about books, too. Therefore, I enjoy reviewing what I read. I don’t rate books lower than three stars. I’d review it and explain what worked and what didn’t, I know, first hand, how much work writing a book really is. Even if I didn’t enjoy a story, I’d not condemned...

Monday Flash Fics – Camera – 4/25/2016

Camera

CAMERA

“Relax. It’s just you, me, and the camera,” Dillan said trying to calm my nerves.

“I know, it’s just…”

“Just what?”

I looked away from the camera. I wanted to put my clothes on and run away. I couldn’t believe I was doing this.

“Greg?” Dillan asked.

“I’m sorry. I accepted to model for you, so I could ask you on a date afterward. I never expected to have to take my clothes off.”

“I can take my shirt off and open my jeans if it makes you more comfortable?”

“Fuck,” I murmured.

“We can do...

On the Home Stretch

2016 #ROW80 Round 2:Check-In #6 | 10 Minute Novelist: Update14

Just getting reading to bounce between betas and proofreaders. This week is going to be a busy one, but I’m looking forward to getting it over with. So far, everything is moving forward at the right pace. Now it’s up to me to live up to my expectations and finish the last bit before getting everything wrap up and deliver on a little bow.

As always, I’ll be reading, reviewing, and writing. Hopefully by next Sunday, I’ll be a bit clo...

#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* APRIL 23-24, 2016 *~*

Since I started sharing the snippets from my current #WIP, I have always chosen happy bits. I’m close to the end and I think it’s time to mix it up. Below are some lines of an argument between Clay and Aaron. Don’t worry, there’s hope at the end of the tunnel. Enjoy!

“You aren’t going anywhere. We need to talk. Please, Aaron. I’m healthy, and I love you. We have the rest of our lives to be happy. Please give me a chance to explain.”

“Too late. I gave you a second chance, and you blew it. You...

Slowly, but Steady

2016 #ROW80 Round 2:Check-In #5

Since the last update, I had written 3,232 words in my current #WIP. Plus, several blog posts and book reviews. I read about five books and continued tofight a cold that seems to be in love with me.

Overall, slow progress but steady enough to meet my deadlines. What about you? Still on the right path?

Monday Flash Fics – Military Cats – 4/18/2016

Cats

Military Cats

“Who let those cats in?” Lieutenant shouted.

Gilbert cuddled closer to Finn, rubbing his scent all over his mate. He ignored the men in his squadron that had no answer for the Lieutenant. The jerk sneezed and Gilbert wanted nothing more than to jump and scratch him all over.

Finn knew him well. His lover rubbed back against him, speeding up between the group. They pushed further into the barrack, climbing into their respective bunks before everyone else chased them in.

“Catch t...

Next Project, Please?

2016 #ROW80 Round 2:Check-In #4 | 10 Minute Novelist: Update13

Not much had changed since my Wednesday update. No new words on my #WIP, but I’m up-to-day with my reading/reviews. Even had a chance to read two or three books that had been on my TBR for a while now.

Hunter_Graphic Exposure CoverAlso, I got two new ratings on Graphic Exposure. Which is the book I’m planning to work/expand on next month. I’m in the process to get some beta readers to get a better idea of what else I can incorporate into the story and the are...

#RAINBOWSNIPPETS *~* APRIL 16-17, 2016 *~*

This week we continue with another snippet of my current #WIP. They had been dating for seven months and with the arrival of the holidays (in their timeline), Clay finds himself planning a Christmasweekend date. In today’s snippets, they are leaving Midnight Mass at the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, IA.

“Wake-up, love.”

“Umh?”

“It’s almost time to leave. Wake up, love,” Aaron murmured in Clay’s ear.

“Fuck,” Clay said startled. Opening his eyes, he found many disapproving faces lookin...

When Real Life Intervenes…

2016 #ROW80 Round 2:Check-In #3

2016-04-12 21.54.26Last night, I was working on my #WIP and my husband was watching a show with our oldest daughter on the other side of our family room.He called me because a weather alert interrupted the programming. They were showing the areas a severe hailstorm was going to affect within minutes and according to the map, we weren’t part of the advisory. Yes, we would get rain and wind, but the baseball size hail would skip our area.

Wrong… Within minutes, the rain started, an...
