Nothing says Happy Holidays like me-- my BOOKS- in stockings

As America's self-proclaimed favorite lower midlist urban fantasy author, I don't get to travel and do signings as much as I would like.  This means y'all can't personally shower me with adoration, PEZ or bacon chocolate bars, and I don't have a chance to sign books for you.

That changes TODAY!  (At least through the holidays, that is)

Naturally, I think I'm the perfect gift for the holidays (my books, not me personally.. that would just be... weird).  Maybe you have a friend you were thinking ...

Halloween Contest Time!

Ok, it's pre-Halloween.  I imagine most of you are getting jazzed for two full weekends of dress-up shenanigans right about now.

Which got me thinking...
HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST TIME!

Since you're dressing up anyway, take a picture of yourself holding one of my books- reading it, mutilating it, whatever you wish (I may replace it if you go all out and damage it for the sake of artistic expression...)  Post it to your blogs, and let me know about it.  That's it.

Winner will receive a months-befo...

Save a zombie raccoon or killer bunny!

I haz a favor to ask of you, dear reader.  You see, Zombie Raccoons and Killer Bunnies is coming out as we speak, but I’m going to be honest with you.  Adorable as it is, it may be hard to find out there in the wide world. I assure you there are many a fine story by many a fine author in it, but most egotistically, one by me.

This awesomely covered anthology includes a Simon-verse tale entitled for lizzie, a short story about a day in the life of Godfrey Candella, head archivist for...

The long and winding road

You know, I've talked before about how lonely a process being a writer is.  There are long spells of sitting alone, writing, polishing, fixing before you let a small group read your work, and then eventually let others read it.  By the time they read your work, the moment you were in creating it has long past and there's always a disconnect because of it.

But there are times when you finish a project or a part of it, and you are reminded that 'holy crap, in six months people will be able to pi...

The few, the proud, the paranormal...

Also, this is just a start, but now you can look like an agent of the Department of Extraordinary Affairs.  Putting the logo over the baby on the maternity outfit cracked me up.

I'm already ordering mugs for my office.  Join the Department today!
