Review of Terry The Time Travelling Tortoise

Terry the tortoise was very excited when I told him we'd received our first review on Amazon.co.uk, even though he pretends he doesn't care about the book.
Terry even suggested I posted the five star review here:

By GM on 19 Sep 2014
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase

"Most enjoyable & very creative.
Although aimed at children of 7+ years this will appeal to adults as well who enjoy reading works by Edward Lear, Spike Millingan, John Lennon etc. Bought this initially as a gift for a young family member, but so far both my wife & I can't bear to part with it!
I guess we'll just have to purchase a second copy. Thoroughly recommended, can't wait for Mr Wolf to produce more of the same."

New Books I've Illustrated.

I’ve recently had the pleasure in illustrating two (non-children’s) books.

Sideways On is a collection of humorous verse by Isobel Fenner (author of Split Level and Name Dropping), whose poems have appeared in the Daily Mail.
Sideways On will only be available in shops (You remember them!) in the Hampshire area (UK); currently being stocked by Hand Made in New Milton (BH25 6JG).

Here are some of the illustrations:

Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/autho...

Strictly Wardrobe Malfunction:

The Wrong Queue: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

And the (bad photograph of!) the cover:

The other book I've illustrated is ReejecttIIon - a number two, by Daniel Clausen and Harry Whitewolf, which will be published in the new year.

ReejecttIIon - a number two by Daniel Clausen

And for any fans of my kids’ books, don’t worry, there will be a new one published in 2016!

Thanks,

Mr. Wolf.

Introducing Heckerington Peck!

I recently had the pleasure of illustrating the children's book Heckerington Peck and Friends by Graham Knight, which is now available.

Here's the blurb to tell you more:

Heckerington Peck is probably the cleverest cockerel in the world and he doesn’t even crow about it. Everyone loves him. Known as Hecky Peck to his friends on the farm he truly is a hero amongst them because time after time he comes to the rescue in times of trouble. He always keeps calm under pressure and he always has a plan. Read his incredible story and see for yourself how this gallant rooster lives up to his reputation as he goes about the day to day life on Hencote farm in the picturesque village of Hecklethwaite.

Featuring:

Dobbin the shire horse:

Percy the pig:

Laddie the sheepdog:

And the twins Charley and Carly:

If you're in need of illustrations for your book or other project, you can find my portfolio and rates on my website:

Many thanks!

Mr. Zumpo's Amazing Zoo of Unusual Animals - OUT NOW!

Mr. Zumpo's Amazing Zoo of Unusual Animals My first new children’s book in three years is now available! As with my other kids’ books, grown-ups should hopefully enjoy this funny book just as much as children. If you would like a free pdf copy of Mr. Zumpo's Amazing Zoo of Unusual Animals in return for an honest review, simply send me a message.

Here’s the blurb to tell you more:

When Raj and Reya meet a rather strange stranger called Mr. Zumpo, they find themselves visiting his Amazing Zoo of Unusual Animals to see some of the most peculiar and bizarre creatures in the whole wide world, such as a Ping-Pong Popperphant, a Wurly Wurlitzer Whistleroo, a Beatbox-Bunny, a Trombonial Pig-Fish and a Grumpy Bubble-Gum Chawooga.

To answer questions like: “What is a Woc?” “Exactly how smelly is a Super Pooper Stinky Pong Beast?” “How do you find an escaped Invisible Wibble Beast?” and “Is Mr. Zumpo really as friendly as he seems?”, you will have to accompany Raj and Reya to Mr. Zumpo’s Amazing Zoo of Unusual Animals.
