Love is a Fire Blog Tour Wrap-Up
Well, the Love is a Fire Blog Tour is officially over! I’ve loved spending time chatting with friends (I’d say fans but I consider each of you friends), gossiping about Nick, Katy, and their friends, and most of all, introducing the world to the Garrity-Malone Family. I cannot express enough gratitude for everyone who helped make this tour a success! I truly appreciate you helping me live my dream and letting me share Katy & Nick’s love story. I want to give a shout-out and big hugs to all the bloggers, Etsy vendors, and generally awesome people that helped me out this week:

Stay tuned for more of the Burning Lovesick Series! The sequel, Burst Into Flame, will be released late this fall so check back for the cover reveal and official release date! The Burning Lovesick Series will consist of four total books: Book #3 will be Patrick Doyle’s story, Book #4 will be Jeremiah’s, and there’s a potential Book #5 which will be Ryan and Abby (and Nick and Jesse in the fire academy!). When the time comes, my readers will decide if Book #5 will be written. There’s also the chance of a spinoff series with a new character that is introduced in Burst Into Flame.
You’ll also want to keep your eyes open for a new book I’ll be publishing this fall about hot baseball players. The book is titled The Right Pitch and you’ll be introduced to a new book boyfriend, Grant Adamson! In case you ever wonder where I get my inspiration, you’ll want to check out my Pinterest page for some major man candy.

“Last call!” the bartender yelled to the few people still drinking. Murph left a couple hours earlier, leaving Jesse and Leah to better acquaint themselves. Jesse settled his tab with the bartender and turned to the blonde beside him. She leaned against him and went in for a kiss. He dodged it and put a kiss on her cheek. It had been a fun night drinking and dancing, not having to hide his affection in public like he did at home but he wasn’t going to let it go any further.
“Thanks for hanging out,” Jesse said as he tried to step around her.
“I had a great time,” she whispered in his ear. Her warm breath on his neck made his hair stand up. She pulled his earlobe slowly between her teeth.
“Mmm…” Her lips on his ear felt good and he knew she’d be down for anything he wanted. It had been over a year since he’d had sex but no, he had a woman waiting for him at home even though he didn’t know when they’d actually cross that bridge. Leah’s lips nipped his earlobe and he didn’t stop her. Jesse muttered, “I need to go.”
She nodded and mumbled, “Me too.”
She took his hand and walked outside with him. Jesse followed to her car, not that she was in any condition to drive. Her hips swayed from left to right and Jesse felt all the blood rushing between his legs. Taking an extra long step, he adjusted himself fighting the urge to push her against the car in front of him and have his way with her.
Her car lights flashed as she pressed the key fob and she turned around kissing him quickly. Lost in the moment, Jesse’s lips met hers as he ran his hands over her body then moved them under her skirt. It’d been too long since he’d felt a woman’s touch like this. He wanted, no, needed this. Stop, Jesse, you’ve got a good girl at home, his conscience told him. Finally, he broke the kiss and stepped back putting her an arm’s length away.
“I really need to go.”
Leah stuck out her bottom lip and pouted. “You led me on all night and I don’t even get anything?”
He kissed her cheek and politely tried to brush her off and said, “You seem like a great girl.”
Leah moved in for another kiss, her hand sliding over his jeans where he was throbbing inside.
“Let me prove it to you.”
Jesse jumped, surprised by her sudden movement and pushed her hand away. “Oh I believe you could, but…I have to get home to my family.”
Leah let go of him and frowned. “You’re married?”

Another Saturday and that means another Character Interview! Today we’ll be meeting Martha Bigalow from the Tales of a Traveler series by N.J. Layouni.
Introduction to Martha Bigalow
Hi N.J. Tell me a little bit about yourself and Martha.
Hello! I’m a stay-at-home mum, and I’ve been writing down stories ever since I learned that letters could be made into words. I’m married, have two kids, and I live in Lytham in the UK. The character I’m want to introduce you to is Martha Bigalow, my female MC in the ‘Tales of a Traveler’ series.
In your words, give us a brief summary of your book.
It’s the story of a modern day woman who somehow manages to slide across time into a medieval world.
Do you relate to Martha?
I can totally relate to Martha. She’s a normal kind of girl-complete with a few squidgy bits! Like her, before I met my hubby, I had the habit of falling for the wrong kind of blokes. Oh, and I swear and cuss a lot too, just like Martha.
Is Martha based off someone you know in real life?
Nope. She came out of my head fully formed and raring to go. The only thing I chose was her name.
In real life, would you hang out with her?
We’d definitely be best buddies. She makes me laugh.
What would you two discuss over drinks?
Life, the Universe. And men, of course! :)
Why do you love this character?
More than anything else, I love Martha’s humor.
Anything else we need to know about her?
She’s not particularly brave, but she’s a tiger when roused. A fiercely loyal friend. I’d definitely want her in my corner.
Interview with Martha Bigalow
Hi Martha! Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hello. I’m Martha. I’m twenty-nine years old and I live in Littlemere–that’s in the beautiful Lake District–with my Aunt Lulu. Well, I used to before I fell off that fecking rock and ending up in Erde! But that’s another story. In my former life, I worked as an assistant in a dress shop. Not my dream job, but it paid the bills.
We’ll start off easy with your favorites. Tell us your favorite and why:
Word- ‘Feck’. I say it all the time. It’s an Irish cuss word, not nearly so offensive as its bigger cousin, but it can be used in all the same ways.
Color- Green.
Food- Chocolate! That’s a food, right?
Drink-Coffee or wine, depending on the time of day!
Subject in school-English literature. So many wonderful stories!
Where did you grow up?
In the Lake District in my aunt’s small cottage which is on the outskirts of the town of Littlemere. Such a beautiful place. I never grew tired of walking those hills. sigh*
Tell us about your family…
My parents died in a car crash when I was three years old. I don’t remember them much, just the general feeling of being loved. I still keep a bottle of my mum’s favorite perfume on my dressing table. If I close my eyes and take a sniff, I can almost see her, but the memories are too brief and fragmented to give me a clear picture of her.
I’m an only child, and after my parents died, my aunt Lulu took me in and raised me as her own. Oh, btw, her real name is Aunt Clooney, but when I was little, I couldn’t pronounce that, so I called her Lulu. The name stuck. Lulu is very fond of ‘sayings’. You know, such as ‘there’ll be tears before bedtime’? She can always be relied upon to have a saying to suit every occasion, bless her heart!
Why did your last relationship end?
Oh, my goodness. I really don’t want to talk about Tony. Let’s just say he’s a two-timing fecker and leave at that. Is that okay?
Tell us your thoughts on love.
I’ve always believed in love, but for the longest time, I didn’t think love believed in me. Then I met my beautiful man and now it all makes sense…marriage, kids, all of it. Yep. I’m a believer.
