Welcome to Friday Feast in the Tavern! Regardless what's happening all around us, I'm celebrating a festive, holiday month. I hope you'll be joining me for the remainder of the year. I have a couple guest authors visiting this month and sharing recipes as well.

This scone recipe was created by me many years ago. My love of eggnog is great and I was thrilled to find some in mid-October. I have a splash in my morning coffee each day. Yet these scones have become a tradition around the holidays. ...

Message from Nancy Lee Badger

This week is the official release of my long-awaited book The Earl’s Treasure. Long-awaited because it took me many years to write, edit, and re-edit through travels, sickness, work, and (surprise) a pandemic. I kept adding to the story until I felt it...

Please make welcome the lovely Tonya Ulynn Brown to the Tavern! We're celebrating her new book release, The Queen's Almoner! I'm looking forward to reading this historical novel. Friday Feast | Please Pass the Butter

Welcome to Friday Feast and the week before Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving will be a simple meal at home, but I can tell you there will be bread--bread stuffing and rolls.

This quote from Mother Teresa has always been a favorite of mine. My love for bread is endless--from rolls, brioche buns, biscuits, and savory scones. I'm definitely not picky either. Give me sourdough, wheat, rye, and/or pumpernickel warm from the oven, smeared with creamy butter. Delicious and pure bliss for me.
