#PPBT Character Speak with Helena
Oh, there you are! I wonder what was taking you so long. It’s day two of the #PPBT, or Pleasure Prints Blog Tour if you need it spelled out.
Today, I want to host an interview I did with one of the main characters from “Fleeting Moments”, one of the story featured in this collection. Her name is Helena, so try to be pleasant, even if I’m not.
Has anyone ever called you a Bitter Betty? If so, do you think it’s accurate? If not, do you agree with how you are portrayed in the story?
First I just want to say hello. Hope you’re doing well.
Now, to address your question …

The Rhapsody of Divergent
Yo what’s popping! The SASS here, and we are about to kick off the Pleasure Prints tour. During the tour, participants in the collection will be stopping by to dish on stuff related to their stories.
Today, it’s a man … Adonis Mann, that is, to give the 4-1-1 on what he’s contributed to the collection. So, sit back, grab a drink, and peep “The Rhapsody of Divergent”.
Do your thing.

Divergent, 1st and 3rd Definitions:
Diverging; differing; deviating.
Having no finite limits.
Rhapsody, 2nd Definition:
An ecstatic expression of feeling or enthusiasm.
The concept of time is subjective. Some view it as linear, others as infinite and other still as spherical. Independently from most, I see time as the substratum of finite and innumerable moments. Like the negatives in a camera, each impression taken are a second in our lives and the foundation of the whole at the end of our days. So to say something like, “For a long time” or “As far back as I can recall” or perhaps, “I remember when” are to put limitations on the boundless.
What I can say is that, ever since cohesion and consciousness was born to my person I can recall but a singular and absolute truth … I was different.
Throughout my life I struggled with yet another truth, I was frequently misunderstood. Not in a mean or imperious way, rather in a way that caused me to have to oversimplify my intellect and diction in order to accommodate others’ understanding. It was no one’s fault, to be sure. It was just a fact of life in this life.
My life has mostly been full of happy moments, and for that I am grateful. However, the challenge of having to continuously feel like a misfit was like wearing a cape every day of my life. Like having to hide the most prevalent fingerprint of who I was.
This introspective debacle came to an end the day I met the All Authors family. The unveiling was like fresh air on a hot day. Like finally sipping on an ice cold cup of water after arduous labor.
The more I got to know the members, the more I understood that they understood me. Whether preordained or accidental, I am uncertain, but soon we found ourselves reveling in the beauty that profound conversation offers. And OH, how refreshing it was …!
One day I was presented with the opportunity to join the Divergent Ink venture. I was simultaneously humbled and honored to have been invited, and I immediately jumped at the chance to participate. You see, I automatically presumed that the foundation of Divergent Ink was to speak from the soul. To say things that I would not otherwise express on subjects that I would not otherwise speak on. The invitation was like a calling to my heart that filled me with elation and purpose.
I, in my heart of hearts, felt as though Divergent would give me the opportunity to express that which I’d secluded for so long that precluded me from conveying the words of my soul. Thus, the adventure began.
Two installments in and many more to go, I am more than thrilled to continue on this path that time has paved for me. Now and forever, I will be celebrating the rhapsody of my divergence.

Well, profound as usual. I have no more to add except my initials.

Cover Reveal: Pleasure Prints

Hello and welcome!
Today, the All Authors Publishing House family is offering up a big treat. Please sit back, relax and enjoy this unique Cover Reveal for the upcoming anthology collection called, “ Pleasure Prints: Divergent Ink Book 2 “.
Before giving you a glimpse at the cover, we here at All Authors decided to interview the cover. No one knows the cover concept than the cover itself.

Without further ado … We present you with the first ever “All Authors Ask the Cover Interview”.

1) Why the rainbow colors as part of the design?
I do worry about the rainbow colors for two reasons. First one is because those kind of colors are your signature Lady Desire and I would hate to look like I am a copycat. Second is because some people may mistake me as an erotica or LGBTQIA classification instead of a short story anthology. Other than that it’s fine.
2) How do you feel about your backdrop always being black?
It is my favorite part. It makes me versatile. A number of colors can work on me.
3) Do you like your dimensions being smaller than the typical 6 x 9 size? Elaborate on the answer.
Well, the truth is that I don’t mind either size. It isn’t the size of the boat, but the motion in the ocean. Right? Right … I think.
But honestly though, I like to think that the 5 X 8 is fun sized, and Divergent Ink is nothing if not fun to read.
4) Why both foot and finger prints?
This collection’s main title is Pleasure Prints. So, I thought that it would be important to show a variation in prints because it would speak to the versatility in the content as well as the theme of the book. Also, different prints leave different impressions. At the end of the day, that is what Divergent Ink is all about, giving the audience a variation of interpretations for a single question.
5) If you had a choice about what order to put the stories in inside of you, how would you organize them?
Well, either by length or by emotion.
Length, from shortest to longest, because it builds up reading endurance. If one has the longest story first, the reader may mistake the rest of the works as being just as long as the first one. Humans don’t have the greatest attention spans.
Emotion, from solemn to sunny. Most like the happily ever after in the end. Plus, with a title like Pleasure Prints, shouldn’t the end result be a pleasant one?
6) You seem to like abstract art as opposed to realistic art, why is that?
I do a prefer abstract over realistic. The reason is because perception is reality. The Divergent Ink collection gives us a myriad of theories based on one fundamental question. Since perception is reality, there is no black and white, meaning the clarity of the answer may not be so straightforward. The reason that abstract art fits Divergent Ink so well is because it “sits in grey”. This means, that everyone can come up with their own hypothesis of what and why.

Blurb:
Divergent Ink is the mesh of different frames of thoughts, various interpretations of one core question that yearns for universal expansion. Although the subject matter may change every year, the purpose of the Divergent Ink series will remain the same. The second book in the Divergent Ink anthology series, “Pleasure Prints”, revolves around the following question:
Where is paradise?
Six Divergent Inks exploring “ Pleasure Prints “. Will the destination cause one to sip a tropical cocktail or cock an eyebrow in amazement?
Featuring:
Adonis Mann: Desperation and delusion are a marriage of emotions. Sentiments collide when three lives tell their tales. Hypnotizing and melancholic are the days of the souls who pursue the “Odyssey of Rhapsody“.
C. Desert Rose: Helena can be cumbersome and crude, while her life is at a standstill, she likes it that way. Amidst the orange glow of office lights and a steaming cup of hot chocolate, Helena learns that life is a series of “Fleeting Moments“.
Da’Kharta Rising: For Masato, there’s no time like the present. Is no limit too great to accomplish “Masato’s Zion”?
Synful Desire: Cecilia Teflon knows she doesn’t have much time left. Before she leaves this earth, she must make a confession. Will this revelation grant her entrance into spiritual paradise? Explore the twists and turns of “Onus”.
Queen of Spades: Axana has always lived a very careful life but a lucrative advertisement shreds her comfort zone. Paradise is where one least expects in “Axana … Unscripted”.
Y. Correa: Myth or memory, which can it be? A life so scripted can be less than desirable. To go or to stay, it is that question that leaves, “Nalani at Heaven’s Gates“.

Planning and Productivity Regained
What’s popping? For me, some popcorn with a little extra butter of course. While I’m waiting for my bowl to get filled with my movie snack, I’m going to share my thoughts on something I was asked by recently:
What body of work did you fall out of love with but it took rereading it to regain the passion?
I don’t want to say anything in reference to “love” because I’m not the “lovey-dovey” type. Therefore, I’ll tackle this from a point of productivity.
A few years ago, I wanted to tackle a bit of a taboo subject. I don’t want to say exactly what because it would spoil the fun of one wanting to check it out. I ran it by the publishing house to see if it would get the all clear, which it did.
As the story began developing, I started adding layers, which I later realized I’d have to do several more books to not only close up the holes I’d opened but to do the story due justice. The end result was Boundless Limits. The saga/series is named Transcendent Choice.
The reason Transcendent Choice is both a saga and a series is because the 1st three books isn’t going to have anything to do with the remaining 3 (or possibly 4) other books. I wonder if “sageries” is a word. If not, I supposed it could be one.
Stranger words have been put together—I could do a whole blog on just that.
It’s about time to melt the butter—let me do that before I get too far off track.
Okay, circling back, I had this outline of how I wanted the next parts to go. Somewhere along the way, these schematics got lost on my old computer when it took a dump (re: stopped working), and I didn’t get a chance to back it up to an online system, like Google Drive.
That was one part of the productivity slump. The next was having my energy diverted in working on other projects, along with some significance changes going on with the publishing house.
By the time the dust settled, the slump became a hole. It seemed as if Boundless Limits was bound.
A fellow author (C. Desert Rose) had been bugging me about when the next TC book was coming out. I’d already developed the title of the 2nd book years ago but the anticipated release date had come and gone. I didn’t want to admit that not only was the thrill tepid as best but also I being a bit lazy.
You see, Boundless Limits involved more research than I’d done on any of my works. Since I was dabbling a bit into unknown territory, I wanted to make sure it came across as authentic. Of course, research had to be a must. You can only do so much with creative license before you get it suspended for writing utter ridiculousness.
Besides, once I’m doing my stuff, I go all in. No piece meal here and piece meal there. I prefer continuance with no interruptions. I’m like that speed demon on the highway—once I’m on the road, stay out of my way!
Just recently, I picked up Boundless Limits and read it again. It got the juices flowing, and I appreciated the investment I made in my creations. The appreciation didn’t transport to action until one of my characters started interacting with me through visions of how she wanted her narrative to go. Not just every once in a while but consistently—to the point where she was being a pain in the butt. Like that kid who is in the back of a car during a road trip, constantly asking, “Are we there yet?”
Now, I’ve returned to planning mode, but it predict I won’t get back to writing the 2nd book of TC until next year. Yes, I do have other projects that have set deadlines. This time, I won’t let them sidetrack me. Vindicta won’t have it.
Popcorn is served! I didn’t pop enough for two. Guess that means our time together is up.

LAOSS: Life After Or Some Such
What’s popping? The S a to the double S here.
I know this is the part where you are expecting to hear things such as:
“Yeah, it’s been a while … ”
“Sorry it’s been so long … ”
“Long time, no hear from … ”
Well, consider your anticipation for any of that shattered. That’s not how I’m set up. That’s not how this goes.
How this goes is that life happens. When life happens, some things stay afloat. Others drown and set up shop with the Titanic. I don’t get why people feel like they have to apologize to other people about the ebbs and flows of life, as if you don’t get any type of break. Like it all supposed to be wine, roses, chocolate, and sharp shiny objects.
Okay … the sharp shiny objects is my spiel, but I think you get what I’m trying to say.
I don’t owe ya’ll a M.F.T. (translate that trash talk)
Now let’s get down to what you guys really want to know: the potential boredom or scandalous gossip that caused such a personal absence. The promotion stuff on behalf of the All Authors Fam doesn’t really count because what kind of person would I be not to tout those who’ve always had my back. That would be just mean, even for me.
Truth be told, I’m in vigilante mode. I need a way to get this out in a way that doesn’t cause me to get thrown in prison, although in the sense of who I’m advocating for, it’d actually be worth it. It’s like a good cause.
I’m just so sick of those who are pure of heart being screwed over by fake, spirit shifting ass people. Like, be who you are, even if you are T.A.F., a failure at life, a lying sack of horse manure, a thirst bucket, or a condescending asshole that is painful as a woman being on the first two days of her menstrual. That’s better than faking like you are a gentleman that’s all about the do right because you are taking up space for a real one.
Despite my wanting to expose his intestines, jab his Adam’s apple, turn his rumored kielbasa into Vienna sausages, and fillet his tongue, my friend told me to “take the high road”.
Yeah, that boring Buddha talk.
Do I look like Buddha? Or TED for that matter?
Yet, how does one take a respectable target and do multiple things to it without getting put away?
For a while, I stewed. While having some vegetable stew, which was rather good. Rabbit stew is overrated.
However, it took a casual talk with the least likely of people to convince me what to do with all of this anger, distaste, and thirst for vengeance. The answer was to put it all on paper.
There’s no prison yet to cage a creative mind.
Therefore, I will be doing all types of unfortunate events. More than likely a series of them. Those will be my target practice and that little boy (because calling him a man would be generous and insulting) will be the bulls’ eye. Every character will be that scumbag’s reincarnation and the torture can be never ending.
I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
You’ll be seeing a whole lot more of me. I’m willing to bet my favorite shiny blade on it.
Until the next episode,

Terror Times Two: Peter Blade and R.I.P.(E). Joint Release
Hello, everyone! Ova View here!
Let me start by saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I’m all dressed up and ready to go! Woot!
Welcome to the Joint Release of “Peter Blade” by Y. Correa and “R.I.P.(E).” by Queen of Spades.
It’s been a while since we’ve brought you a book release that we’ve been this excited about. So, without further ado, we’ll get right into it.
I have got to say that I am super stoked to bring your this one on one interview with the duo now known as “Hybrid Seductions”. That is to say, Queen of Spades, the Antiquated Hybrid and Y. Correa, the Literary Seductress. A round of applause is definitely in order!
It’s been a while since I’ve been out and on the hunt for a good read and some interaction with my fellow bookish folk, so I can’t tell you how excited I am to have come across this lovely Dual Release. Let’s hop right into it, shall we?
First, let’s talk a little bit about what prompted to writing of each book.
Y. Correa, what was it that incited the writing of “Peter Blade”?
Wow, great question!
“Peter Blade” came from both a song and a story that my dad told me when I was a kid.
When I was a kid there was a release of a salsa song called “Pedro Navajas” which translated to Peter Blade. The song talked about a true story of a serial killer that hunted prostitutes and eventually was killed by one. What the song does not talk about was the reasons or the intricate details of the events. So, one day out of curiosity I asked my dad about it. He went on to tell me the long story about a serial killer in Puerto Rico that was hell bent on ridding the world of prostitutes because he found them dirty.
One day, already an adult, while cleaning my kitchen I heard the song for the gazillionth time and immediately my mind started swirling with ideas of who Peter Blade was, why he killed, what the essence of his character was. And, before I knew it, I was in the midst of writing a story based on SOME “true events” but mostly a work of fiction.
At one point I’d asked a fellow author to help me with the story—make it a collaborative work, if you will. However, in time I came to realize that that would not pan out so I opted to go forward with the story by myself. What I did not know what that Peter was actually the force behind the wheel. It really was the character that narrated to the story. Every labyrinthine detail was dictated to me by the main character. In the end the story turned out to be a look into the psychopathy of a killer. Terror of the mind.
Amazing! Thank you, Y. Queen, could you please tell us a little bit about “R.I.P.(E).”? Perhaps, what the meaning of the acronym as well …?
Where to begin … where to begin? I have been on a bit of a hiatus. I haven’t done an individual project since Life-O-Suction and the last appearance I made in a collection was Concordant Vibrancy 3. Truth be told, I wasn’t even 100% betting on putting out anything this year.
I have gone through quite a few things since my last publication. Life was keeping me busy. Then I encountered someone whose presence made quite an impact and challenged some of my cautionary approaches towards certain topics. Just as I was reaching my level of comfort, a tragedy happened, putting me back at … square one.
One night, I had a dream, filled with visions I couldn’t shake. It also included phrases and numbers that lingered. Most of the phrases represent titles of the poems. The primary things in the visions developed the cover concept. The numbers link to a bit of perception and symbolism: mostly behind the number 13. These were indeed “Random Inspirations on Paper (R.I.P.)”.
The “E” was added as an afterthought but necessary. It represented my evolution after everything with this person had taken place. However, because of the work’s presentation as a modern day Adam and Eve, I morphed the “E” into (E)ve-olution.
Hence … R.I.P.(E).
Fantastic, Queen! You never cease to amaze me with the way your mind works!
But, here is the primary question … Why a double release? What was it that made you both decide to come together and not only bring these books to the public in conjunction, but also dub it a “Hybrid Seductions” collaborative? I am super intrigued. Y., would you like to go first?
Sure.
Well, you see … the thing is that Queen and I are very alike in a lot of ways. While I am known as the “Literary Seductress” I feel like that title can easily fit her as well. And, although she sees herself as the “Antiquated Hybrid”, I feel like I can also fit into that category. We both have a very similar approach to writing:
It must be worth reading, it must be a work of art and it must be captivating.
So, after lots of conversation we came up with a label that encompassed us both; “Hybrid Seductions”.
Now, I will let Queen elaborate on the dual release part. Queen, after you.
It goes a bit deeper than “Hybrid Seductions”. Y was going to release hers on October 31st anyway. Yet, when I was thinking of my release date, it was tied in to the skull and the “Day of the Dead” symbolism, which led to 10/31 as well. The idea was as random as R.I.P.(E). Y was the first to suggest doing it jointly but for me, there had to be a tie-in for us to do it together. Peter Blade rang to me as “terror of the mind” while my work depicted “terror of the heart” which is what the elements of heartbreak essentially are. Once all was connected, it made sense for both to be released together.
Y. here again. Also, when we looked further into the works one thing in Peter Blade stood out like a sore thumb … At the end of the day, Peter was “Peter Blade” because he first experienced “terror of the heart”. Then, boom! Just like that it all made sense to me. In my mind, heartbreak has repercussions that changes a person—some for the better and some for the worse. Peter was the prime example of how it changes you for the worse. Okay … I am done. Queen, the floor is yours.

#CoverHotness: TLOMNA (Sorry, that title is too long for this chic to type out)
Hello. The SASS here, venturing from her cave to give you a cover reveal by Y. Correa.
Hello and thank you for visiting!
Today, the members of All Authors P&P bring you a spectacular cover reveal for a phenomenal story. But to know more about this story, you must first understand its origins.
In 2013 Y. Correa brought you a Historical Romance for the ages. It was called “MarcoAntonio & Amaryllis”.
Within its pages you found a compelling story that could leave on mark on the soul of those who read it. Many compared it to “Tristan and Isolde” as well as “Romeo & Juliet”. However, “MarcoAntonio & Amaryllis” was much more than that—it was a love story AND an adventure. Riddled with magic, mayhem and drama, “MarcoAntonio & Amaryllis” was a story to be reckoned with.
The year 1585. The Anglo-Spanish War. England’s greed for Spain’s crops, land, and supplies gives birth to the inertia of intolerance on both sides. Yet, even then, Love surges forth.
MarcoAntonio, a Spanish gentleman and knight, defied all boundaries of color and culture, when setting eyes on the English lady Amaryllis. Although to others, he may be a bit reserved, he dares to lower his defenses solely for her.
Amaryllis is an English lady. One with an open heart, gentle spirit, and shining eloquence. She knew that she should not desire MarcoAntonio. Still, a love feeling so right couldn’t be so horribly wrong!
Travel with MarcoAntonio and Amaryllis as they duel with internal and external forces threatening to tear their powerful love apart. In the midst of troubles the likes of which have no compare, MarcoAntonio and Amaryllis find themselves having to fight the most unexpected of adversaries, just for the right to love each other.
Discover why their LOVE is the result of ALL things conquered!
Now, three years later, Y. Correa brings you the story of their son, MarcoAntonio Jr. and the legacy that their story left behind.
What happens when the Legacy of Love intersects with Legend?
For many years, legend spoke of two instruments—a sword and a shield. Together, they would act as catalysts to destroy the indestructible. At one point, all elements were in play, with the end result being a substantial sacrifice, along with the ultimate personification of love. That symbol is MarcoAntonio Junior—the Legacy of MarcoAntonio & Amaryllis.
With the legend seemingly at rest, fresh starts are on the horizon. A decade has passed, and Aishe and Damian—serving as caregivers for Junior—choose Borinquen as their new stomping ground. MarcoAntonio Junior is still haunted by the loss of his mother and father, but his budding friendship with Taino youth Yarisneth offers a shine of promise to counteract the sadness.
When fulfillment of legend is unsatisfactory to some, forces emanate to deliver their own resolution—affecting a positive present and blossoming future for all involved.
Will the Legacy show that Love is still the result, or will these tenacious energies—antiquated and modern— give proof that the legend is a farce?
