Po’Boy is quite the character. Near the end of Twisted Pain, he told me a secret that nearly made me drop the idea of writing this book. Something so abhorrent in biker culture, it seemed wrong to write it. Dude’s persistent though, and he wore me down, putting people in my path who showed me that the times they are a changing. Once he got me on board, however, it was balls to the wall and full steam ahead as he pushed my comfort levels and boundaries.
I’ve come to love him. I know I probably say that about every character. Well, nearly every one of them. Some are unrepentant jerks who don’t deserve the headspace. But Ralph Lewis, or Motorboat as I affectionately call him, is unique in my head. He owns an interesting dichotomy of characteristics that I’ve not seen in a single character. He can be a cold-blooded killer, a ride or die brother, a friend like no other, and a caring and sensitive lover.
If nothing else, he’s taught me two things:
Lesson One: There will always be someone who feels like you don’t deserve the things you’ve worked for and earned.
Lesson Two: Fuck ‘em.

Persuaded into helping a Rebel member sort out a difficult situation, Gunny didn’t expect to find a new family member in the form of an enormous mastiff. With a child on the way about to add more chaos to his life, he thought the big guy would be a temporary house guest. Take the monster-sized dog home, foster him for a little while, then place the critter with a loving family. Piece of cake.
But, when he came through for Sharon in an important way, helping her through a difficult time, Gunny decided the dog had found a forever home. Remember those big problems? They’re about to get even bigger! This novella sits alongside Rebel Wayfarers MC book #10, Bones.

Plus it’s super sappy in places, and an unusual story setup. It’s not a feckin’ unicorn, but it’ll do.

Combining elegance and functionality
Once I realized I had outgrown my old website, I approached the idea of a redesign with an eye towards solving three problems:
A need to support multiple series as well as standalone books
Reader’s ease of access to support materials and details
Simplicity of updating in order to keep the site packed with timely info
I partnered with the lovely folks at Rare Bird for the design, and they certainly delivered! I love the new look and flow of the site, and they were able to help me untangle every aspect of what was necessary for maintenance. Then, I paired up with FusionForge Consultants to populate the shiny new database with all the info my readers would need. Let me know what you think!
