ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
How do you thank everyone involved in helping create a saga that has spanned four real-life years, more than two million words, and included nearly two dozen titles?
With love. So much love.
Thank you to my family and friends who have been infinitely tolerant of me. Endless requests to “just read this one chapter,” an endless number of variations on “what do you think of this idea,” and of course, the prelaunch freak-outs, which inevitably included at least one “oh, God, my words are shit and I shouldn’t inflict them on the world anymore.” You’ve been there during those moments of excitement when the characters came through so strongly, and listened during the times when these assholes were pissing me right the fuck off.
It’s no secret to me that as I channeled these men and women in the RWMC how often I took on bits from the least likable characteristics of their personalities, so I apologize for a few of them. Maybe even most of them…
Thank you to Kay, Brenda, Jesse, and Hollie, and my coworkers and friends who dealt with the in-person pieces of my crazy obsession most often. Extra-special thanks to Kay, who has accompanied me on so many road trips to signing events, helping keep me sane when all I wanted to do was run far, far away.
Thank you to the folks at Hot Tree Editing, for taking a chance on working with a new author and sticking with me. Becky Johnson, you are amazing. Kayla Robichaux, it all started with you, honey. The HTE beta readers and final editors have helped polish this book with the same intensity and enthusiasm as the first. Thank you so much. You’ve never, ever let me put forth less than 100 percent effort, and I appreciate how you push for excellence in all ways.
Kristen, Jamey, Kori, Kelsi, Megan—I could never ask for better critique readers than you. You’ve been willing to take on the rawest form of the books and look past my grievous grammatical mistakes to the heart of the story. Oh, the questions I’ve asked, and you’ve gracefully answered. MirandaPanda, you of the steady voice, thank you for everything. Thank you all.
My indie author friends, Lila Rose- Author and Kathleen Kelly, you ladies have given me such a gift, and I will forever treasure it. You’re always willing to talk plot and character, to dissect aspects of the business that frustrate, and I love you for sharing your wisdom so freely. You are my idols, and I adore you.
When I talk about photographers, models, and cover artists, I like to say I’ve been blessed to work with some of the best in the business. Only because it’s true! Professional and gracious, creative and capable of producing stunning work every time you step into your role.
To the bikers and riders, my brothers and wind sisters. The OGs who called it like they saw it, who gave me shit when I got things wrong, who bought me a shot when I needed lifting up. These deep connections span states and nations, and believe me when I say your support means everything to me. You’ve welcomed me into your clubhouses, and homes, added me to family dinners without hesitation, taken me to the range and the mountains, pushed me to be better—and in some cases worse (in the best of ways). You know how I feel, and so does the world. So much honor, loyalty, respect, and love. Always love. I believe in the brotherhood you share, because you’ve shared it with me.
Readers, ah, God, my readers are the best. Demanding and mouthy or quiet and loyal, it matters not, because you all count so very much. I write the stories for me, but you push me to plot more effectively, plan farther, scheme better, and publish often.
You’ve driven books forwards with your words and connections, by texting and messaging me directly, by e-mailing and talking to me at events, by making me laugh with your suggestions, and weep with your reactions. By making me love each of you. By turning from readers into friends who I cherish.
Readers like Dyana, who sent a message about wishing I was at a hockey game and sparked a flurry of writing. “I wish you was at my game tonight,” helped add more than 30,000 words to this story, all from ideas derived from that single line of text.
Readers who joined in on my silly games, such as “Name a villain,” where the entry by Patricia Blair gave us Bedlam. And the entry by Sheri Secord gave us Drago, and you’ll learn more about those names between the covers of this book.
This book. Oh, this book. There’s never been another story that I’ve circled back to as often—out, around, then out and back again—as I have this one. This specific story began immediately upon finishing writing Hoss, three years ago. I put down and picked back up the manuscript nearly a dozen times through that span, adding to the story as inspiration struck and characters demanded.
The main character in this story is, of course, Cassie. But her love interest and leading man has already appeared as the main character in a titled book in the series.
I desperately wanted to honor the previous book in all aspects of this one. I hope it’s the better for the time spent crafting it.
I’ve cried and laughed, thrown things, leaned on the kitchen counter crying, and alternated wishing for tequila with regretting the decisions of the night before. I spent the better part of a road trip rolling storylines around in my head, talking to myself (and Mason), and have dreamed more dreams about this story than I care to count. I’ve infused much of my heart into this story, and at times, the characters feel too close to true, because the difficulties they struggle with cut me to the bone. I’ve done my part, put in my time, and written from the heart.
And now, it’s down to you. My faithful readers. I hope you enjoy Cassie, or as I titled it for a long time—Hoss 2.0.
This book is an ending, that is true.
But, here’s the advice I’m giving myself: Don’t be sad that the series is coming to a close. Be glad that these characters, these men and women we’ve come to love so much, agreed to be part of our lives for so long, and with such a lasting impression. They’ve been central to my world for years now; it’s impossible to imagine things without my boys all around in my head. But they’ve been telling me it’s the right time for a while now, and I trust the characters. They’ve given us every story, and never steered me wrong.
Personally, I’m holding out hope they’ll come visit again somewhere down the road.
Woofully yours,
~ML

Cover Reveal for Book Three in deMora’s NTNT MC series
Trapped by Fate on Reckless Roads
Book #3 in the Neither This, Nor That MC series
Releases Jan 21, 2019
Thank you to the gloriously talented Christina Schellhous of Invicta’s Art Photography for this gorgeous image. It perfectly captures the essence of Retro, Jerry Rogers. A big gracias to the ever wonderful Debera Kuntz, who took perfection and then somehow, someway improved on it with her design!
Trapped by Fate on Reckless Roads
In the rough realm of bikers, there are no shortcuts to win a place among the old guard. It’s a world where respect can only be earned, trust is painfully gained, and loyalty will be fiercely returned.
Jerry Rogers lived his life bound to those firm tenets which anchored his brotherhood. LLH&R was more than a patch on a leather cut, it ran thick as blood through Retro’s veins as he worked to better things for his club, and family.
Locked for years in a loveless marriage, Retro still found a sense of pleasure and peace knowing he’d at least always done his best to buffer their children from his single mistake.
Confronted by evidence that what happened in the past wouldn’t remain quietly buried any longer, Retro embarks on what might become his most important journey down memory lane. One that can only end in blood…and death.

Cover reveal for Cassie, Rebel Wayfarers MC book #12
:deep breath in, and reach for the keyboard:
:back away shaking head:
“Nope, I’m not ready for this.”
Mason’s voice is in my head: Ready or not don’t matter, honey. This is where we are. Take your time, but get it done.
“Okay, I’m ready.”
It is with both pleasure and sadness that I welcome everyone to the cover reveal for the final main book in the Rebel Wayfarers MC saga. There are nearly 2,000,000 (yup, that’s two million) words in the stories that make up the (currently) 22 individual titles. Book number one began in a fit of sleep-depravation in 2013, was first published in mid-June 2014, and the rest of the titles followed from there.
The pleasure part is of course being able to give you Cassie, book number twelve in the series. It could actually be numbered as twenty-three, because of how various characters took control through the stories. This specific book was begun immediately upon finishing writing of Hoss, book number seven, back in 2015. I picked up and put down the manuscript nearly a dozen times through that period to now, adding to the story as inspiration struck and characters demanded.
The sad part? This is the final main title for the series. In essence, the Rebels end with this book. They’ve been part of my life for so long now, it’s hard to imagine things without my boys all around. But, they’ve been telling me it’s the right time for a while now, and I trust the characters. They’ve given us every story, and never steered me wrong.
There have been some interesting timing aspects associated with the story, too. Serendipity, you know? In January 2016, a fan’s text to me about wishing I was at a hockey game with her sparked a flurry of writing. “I wish you was at my game tonight,” eventually helped add more than 30,000 words to the story, all from ideas derived from that single line of text. Then I found a tombstone inscription that spoke to me. “It isn’t the date on either end that counts. But how they used their dash.” Writing about the truth of that dash drove thousands of words. The whole journey’s been like that. There’s never been another story that I circled back to as often—out, around, out and back again—as I have this one.
I hope it’s the better for the time spent crafting it.
The cover is another example of the kind of matchless serendipity that has accompanied this book to the finish line.
The main character in this story is, of course, Cassie. But her love interest and leading man has already appeared as the main character in a titled book in the series. This title is only the second one using the female character’s name, and while I considered having a single woman on the cover, I desperately wanted to honor the previous book. Also, for this book we’re jumping about fifteen years into the future, and the imagery needed to reflect that.
I believe the shot captured by Eric David Battershell does all of these things. It’s a perfectly candid image of Kaitlin and Burton Hughes, real-life couple and models. The love you see in the image is honest and true, and reflects what I hope is contained within the covers. Debera Kuntz applied her wizardry and skill to the transformation of the raw shot into the polished image, and I appreciate her more than she knows.
Thank you all for being part of this legacy.

Cassie
Rebel Wayfarers MC #12
Oct. 29, 2018
MariaLisa deMora
After losing the woman he believed his one and only, can a man like Hoss have a second chance at true love?
Final main book in the Rebel Wayfarers MC saga.
For years, agoraphobic Cassandra Williamson has struggled to keep her world from collapsing entirely by pushing to do things that bring her pleasure, even as they carry fear. Acquiring art is one outlet she doggedly pursues, determined to bring compelling pieces into her life, even at the cost of nerve-racking visits to crowded gallery showings.
A long-time admirer of reclusive artist Isaiah Rogers, Cassie has made a point to snap up what she can of the increasingly rare pieces of artwork the biker-turned-painter makes publicly available. Any evening spent at one of his showings becomes a longed-for escape from her ever-narrowing world. The thing with these showings though, is to see…you must also be seen.
After organizing a meeting with the pretty, blonde art-lover Hoss found so intriguing, his emotions are stirred for the first time in years by a curiosity that feels inexplicably more. He’s been alone for such a long time, could this be his chance to find love again?
Even with many enemies defeated, life in an outlaw MC is never easy, or safe, and Hoss is forced to make a choice: His happiness, or perhaps her very life.

Gypsy’s Lady is Live!
Finally, it’s release day for Gypsy’s Lady!.
What do you do when a USA Today bestselling author asks you to entertain the idea of having your two motorcycle club worlds overlap?
You say yes, idgit. That’s what they call a no brainer.
And that’s what I did back in 2016 when the lovely Author Lila Rose, author of the Hawks MC book series, suggested we blend our worlds for her book, Living Without. While entirely her work in terms of storyline, character involvement, and of course every aspect of her Hawks characters, when published, the book contained several scenes where my writing introduced the RWMC characters of Mason and Gypsy. It was fabulous fun working with her, and I cannot thank her enough for the experience.
Then, I had even more for which to thank her, because she gifted me a character to bring back to my world. Sweet, damaged Kelsey had evolved into my Gypsy’s love interest, and I couldn’t wait to see where their narrative took us.
The book you hold is testament to both Lila’s generosity and the love readers have for these characters. While the desire to craft their story was there (and so were the questions from readers), life and deadlines got in the way, delaying this book time and time again. Eventually, I was able to sink my teeth into their love and lives, and pen the long-anticipated continuation of their story.
Every book needs a cover that reflects the story within, right? And this cover is brilliant, isn’t it? Always a pleasure to work with Eric Battershell Photography, and acquiring this image was no different. His artistry with a camera is awe-inspiring, and the photo of Tessi Conquest and Jamie Walker is breathtaking—and exactly what was needed for the book. The image is only part of the equation, however, and it was the brilliant Debera Kuntz who made it perfect in her ineffable way. Becky Johnson and her crew at Hot Tree Editing, as always. played a large part in polishing the story, and I can’t say enough good things about them. Thanks to all involved for helping bring Gypsy and Kelsey to life.
We like to think that writing is a solitary exercise. What not everyone understands is once a tale’s been released into the wild, the story no longer belongs solely to the author. Each reader claims a bit of ownership, as they take the story and tint it with their own experiences and understandings. Here’s hoping what we’ve wrought together stands up to scrutiny, and you love Gypsy and his beautiful Kelsey as much as I do.
Woofully yours,
~ML

A Rebel Wayfarers MC love story two years in the making
Travel the world this June to read a love story!
Two years ago Lila Rose and I worked together to pull my Rebel Wayfarers MC into the world of her Hawks, Caroline Springs. We featured not only Mason, but also a little-known RWMC character, Gypsy, and the ending of that book had him leaving Australia to come back to the United States. But he didn’t come alone! Kelsey, a character introduced in Living Without, came home with him. Now you’ll have the chance to read more about Gypsy, and learn where his story started and watch as he finds his way first to the Rebels, and then Down Under to Oz, where he stumbles onto the woman who will become the love of his life.
Be sure to visit Lila’s website to learn more about her books, and follow her on Goodreads to receive updates about releases.

Fury, RWMC #11 is live!
Title: Fury
Series: Rebel Wayfarers MC, #11
Author: MariaLisa deMora
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: November 6, 2017
#FuryandBethySittingInATree
Synopsis
Fury has made a name for himself in club life as a member and officer who calls things like he sees ‘em, and not a man to put up with lies and deceit. When he takes time to think about it, he finds the reputation amusing considering the kind of guy he used to be.
Full description:
As soon as he could, Gabe Ledbetter fled his family’s home in the mountains of Kentucky. Those hills and valleys were undeniably beautiful, but they masked a painful legacy of loss and betrayal. Gabe counted himself fortunate to have gotten out, his scream-filled nightmares a reminder that not everyone had been as lucky.
Gabe, now called Fury, has built a family for himself with the men he calls brothers. Over time, he worked his way from club to club, managing to climb the ladder of responsibility until in his small world he was the top dog. Big man, but one with an empty bed.
Bethany Mason-Taylor has lived her whole life in survival mode. From her first memories of a traumatic childhood, it always felt as if she were skating a mere stone’s throw ahead of disaster. Everything finally seems to be on track for success, and now that she’s put her most embarrassing fiasco behind her, managing the come-back tour for a band signed by her brother’s record label should be a breeze.
That is until one gloriously handsome redhead slipped into her hotel room and derailed all of Bethy’s carefully laid plans. She’s the forbidden fruit, sister of his MC president. He’s her ultimate weakness. Oh yeah, this is gonna be fun.

Author Bio
Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an
early age. Every summer, she would spend hours in the local library,
devouring books of every genre. Self-described as a book-a-holic, she
says “I’ve always loved to read, but then I discovered writing, and
found I adored that, too. For reading … if nothing else is available,
I’ve been known to read the back of the cereal box.”
A hockey fan, hiker, gamer, and single mom of a special needs son, she
embraces her inner geek and has been working in the tech field for a
publishing company for a couple decades.
Music is a driving passion, and she says, “I love music of nearly any
genre — jazz, country, rock, alt rock, metal, classical, bluegrass, rap,
hip hop … you name it, I listen to it. I can often be seen dancing
through the house in the early mornings. But I really, REALLY love live
music. My favorite thing with music is seeing bands in small, dive bars
[read: small, intimate venues]. If said bar [venue] has a good selection
of premium tequila, then that’s a plus!”
