Kobo

HelloJust a quick note to say that you can now find me on Kobo! Some of my stories are already available while all he others are available for preorder - releasing over the next few weeks.I've also added some links to them on the story series pages - like the Amazon links that are already there, the link takes you to the US site, but then, if you're not in the US, you should be able to easily navigate to the equivalent page for your home country site.Take careElizabeth

New Short Story!

I have completed the July Competition Short Story - yay! The winner was chosen by a random number generator - so it was completely chosen by chance.I have already e-mailed the winner with a copy, but have now put it on my website for everyone to read. You can read it HERE and is called Ghost Seekers or Something.Thank you for everyone who entered, and if you are interested please enter for August - you can do that HERE. Previously I did say one entry per person, but really, I don't see why - if you have lots of ideas enter them all. I think it's probably only necessary to say 'one entry per person' when the 'prize' has some value. But this prize isn't worth anything! So please do enter - I love writing short stories. : )Best wishesElizabeth

Reindeer Easter Family Info

Just a quick note regarding the Easter Reindeer story update - I’ve had feedback from a few guys to say it was automatic and you don’t even need to click it to update - yay!So, the quick way to make sure you have it is by checking the number of chapters - the new version has an epilogue. If yours doesn’t, then re-sync your device to make sure it gets the new one - just being hooked up to WiFi may not do it, you may have to make it re-sync. I don’t know about all devices but on my current iPad I can do it by going into the ‘more’ section and clicking sync - it tells me there when it was last synced. I don’t know about kindles because, umm, I may have broken mine when I spilled a cup of tea on it - which is why I’m borrowing my dad’s iPad until I get a new one or fix it... ugh, but I think it should be similar and there may be something in settings or the like.If that doesn't work go onto the Amazon website and in the devices and content section check your preferences/settings are set up for automatic downloads and then re-sync. If that doesn't work.. I'm out of ideas I'm afraid! You could at that point ask Amazon for advice - but as it has worked for others it should work for everyone.Elizabeth.xxx

Updated - Reindeer's Easter Family

HelloOne of the complaints about The Reindeer's Easter Family was that it was too short. Soooooo I've added a little bit more to the story, and it is now available from Amazon. If you've already bought it, you should be able to just download the update - if you've never done this before, there are pics and instructions below (which in theory should work... in theory... I have done it before for myself, so it should work... in theory!). There isn't a huge deal more in there - the story has not changed - but there are a few more scenes, so is worth updating. While you do update that story, check out my others to see if there are other updates available. : )Take careElizabeth

Help me with my Patreon account

HelloAfter much thought, I have decided to open up a Patreon account. My main reason is stability. While I love writing, the income from it is variable month to month, and when you're supporting your family, it's not ideal. So the hope is that with some more dependable income every month through Patreon that I can continue writing, rather than increasing hours at my day job.I'm in the middle of setting up an account, and I'm reading through the info. Now, anyone familiar will already know, but Patreon offers the options of 'tiers' whereby supporters can decide how much they pledge each month and therefore decide what they get in return.Obviously, I think the main thing would be getting to see what I'm working on bit by bit - so it would be like seeing a bit of the story every week, and then getting a PDF of the whole story at the end. But there are other things to offer. Now, Patreon gives suggestions and ideas, but I wondered if you could advise? If this something you would be interested in, can you fill in the following mini quiz to give me an idea of what you would like to see? (There are only four questions and a suggestion box - and you don't have to complete all the questions if you don't want. The quiz is also anonymous, I don't need to know who suggests what.) QUIZAgain, if you're not interested, that's no problem - you don't need to do anything. I know this isn't something for everyone - and I don't blame anyone who wouldn't want to get involved. I'm not going to stop publishing on Amazon, it's just with the Patreon, it would be like seeing the stories early.Take care Elizabeth

Join me on Instagram!

HelloAfter years of avoiding social media like a vampire avoids garlic, I now have an Instagram account. Now, it may be an odd choice for someone who writes, but honestly, I just can't get on with Facebook or Twitter. So I am trying out Instagram.Over the past few months I've come to enjoy following others on Instagram so thought I would give it a try as a way to update people on where I am with things.I don't envision posting a lot, just maybe once or twice a week at most - if that, and I won't be posting loads of pictures of myself or anything like that. I'm far too introverted and weird to take selfies, never mind post them. But if you are insterested please do give me a follow. My username is @elizabeth.ann.price (took me ages to understand that everyone has a '@' at the start of their usernames - I really should have read the instructions!), and in case you can't figure out who I am, I am using the pic of the stag below as my profile pic. I have also added the Instagram feed to my home page of this website - there's only one post so far!Elizabeth.x

When A Gargoyle... Part Nine Available Now!

Hello! The newest Gargoyles book is available now at Amazon. It is called 'When a Gargoyle Takes a Rose.' There is a peek below, and you can read the blurb here.Take careElizabeth*Merek surged forward, roared and slammed his sword into the… pink, twisted metal thing?!“My new bike!” cried a young, female voice.“Damn, I knew I should have moved that,” muttered a female.“We will get you another,” reassured a gruff male.“Bikes don’t grow on trees,” said the female.“Of course not, why would anyone believe that bicycles would?” asked a confused fourth voice.“I’m just saying,” said the female, “that maybe the bike can be salvaged. There’s no need to waste money.”“But he stuck his sword in it,” said the young girl.“Daffy, we may be able to fix it.”“Will you be silent for once?” sneered a fifth and somewhat unpleasant voice.“Do not speak to my mate that way,” growled the gruff male.“Everybody, calm down,” soothed a sixth voice, “we’ll talk about the bike later.”Merek tried to take in this bizarre conversation, but he was dealing with quite a bit of confusion of his own. One moment, he was charging forward in battle, about to bury his sword into the empty skull of a troll, and the next…He stood up straight and looked around him. There was undoubtedly no battle, only a group of anxious faces watching him closely. There was a mixture of both humans and gargoyles.“What is happening?” he asked slowly.“I am Luc,” rumbled a large, red gargoyle. He stepped forward from the group, dropping the hand of a small, pregnant human. ‘There is a lot to tell you.”Merek looked between the faces and sensing no danger from them he nodded. “So I see.”“You must be hungry and thirsty. We will get you some food and drink and explain what has happened. If you are amenable, we will eat in the house.”Merek looked up at the large house. It was unlike any building he had ever seen before, but he was not opposed to going inside it. He knew gargoyles who had refused to set clawed foot in human constructions, but he was not one of them.“Yes,” he agreed and tried to pull his sword from the pink thing, apparently called a bike.It would not budge. It appeared to be stuck. After trying to slam the bike against the ground forcibly, he gave in and just dragged the thing with him. “Guess we’re gonna need a new bike,” muttered the female.

When A Gargoyle Takes a Rose Available for Pre-order

Hello! The newest gargoyle story - book nine - is now available for pre-order from Amazon. There's a sneack peek below.Take careElizabeth*Amara’s fingers pressed to her lips as the huge… man thundered through her door. She was filled with so many emotions and thoughts… actually, she had no idea what to feel or think.A moment ago she had been so sure that her husband was coming through that door, intent on doing heck knew what. Instead, this strange, colossal creature was here, and she was… relieved. Yes, she was actually happy it wasn’t Tom, so happy that this winged creature was welcome! He was the most unusual person she had ever seen, with his blue skin, twisted horns, flowing hair and enormous wings. He looked at her with a benign smile on his face, and she marveled at his astonishing blue-green eyes. They were green and blue and more beautiful than… something that was pretty darn beautiful. Her mind reached for an explanation – something that would and could explain what he was and what he was doing in her kitchen at night. Undoubtedly because of the wings and the gentle look on his face, he could be only one thing.“Are you… are you an angel?” she whispered. That beatific and somehow reassuring smile on his face widened. He placed a clawed hand over what was supposed to be his heart – it was just that his chest was so massive that even his large hand struggled to cover much of it. Amara had the strangest tingling sensation when looking at that chest.“No, dear mate, I am not.”The hairs on the back of her neck stood up at the sound of his voice. It was deep and warm, and something that Amara never considered a voice could be – delicious.“Who… what…” The questions stuttered in her mind as she merely took him in.Was he really there? Or perhaps her mind was playing tricks on her. Amara considered that for a few beats before deciding against it. She didn’t think her mind would be so cruel to her, nor did she think she was capable of dreaming up someone so… so detailed. He took a step into the kitchen, and Amara merely watched him, unable to move – unable to do anything. She was gawking at him like she was an idiot.“I know I must come as a shock to you,” he said slowly.Amara made a gurgling noise. He drew himself up even taller – which she wouldn’t have thought possible, given his wings already scraped the ceiling. “But, know that I am your mate, and I will defend you to the death!”“My what?” she repeated faintly.

The Reindeer Gives Thanks Available Now

HelloThe newest Reindeer Holidays story - The Reindeer Gives Thanks - is available to buy from Amazon now. There's a small peek of it below.Take care and Hoppy Easter!Elizabeth*“What’s wrong?” he asked, frowning slightly.“Nothing,” she denied automatically.Mal continued to stare that indomitable stare that surely had killers and thieves confessing in seconds. Indeed, she couldn’t hold out for very long in the face of that look.Ariel shuffled her feet uneasily. “Just, you know, it’s not easy to,” she swallowed, “guess what you’re thinking.”He regarded her steadily for a few moments, and she squirmed. Lord, where was a sinkhole when you needed one?!“You really want to know what I’m thinking?” he said finally.“Yes,” she hissed, annoyed at him for putting her on the spot, and for always being so remote.Mal rolled his shoulders and carefully folded his arms, presenting a defiant stance. “I was thinking how good your legs look in those shorts.”Ariel blinked at him for a few moments while her reindeer’s jaw dropped. Did he really just say that?! Of all the things she could have imagined that was very low down the list. Actually, it didn’t even make the list.“You’re kidding, right?”Mal’s nostrils flared, and he jutted his chin. “You wanted to know.”Ariel watched him, waiting for some flicker, some indication that he was making a joke, but if he was, he gave nothing away.Ariel snorted. “You were not thinking that.”“I was,” he said patiently, “and it’s not the first time I’ve thought it today.”Carrie’s words flitted through her mind – about Mal’s alleged crush. “Are you actually saying you find me attractive?”“Is it that hard to believe?”“Well, yes!” she damn near exploded. “I mean, I get it that you kissed me years ago because you were grieving – I get it that it only happened because you were upset. But I just don’t get why ‘you’ would find ‘me’ attractive. I mean, c’mon!”“It’s really not that surprising,” he said stiffly, a rare flash of anger showing on his face. “I may only be a hunter but…”“What on earth are you talking about?” she grumbled as her beast stomped the ground. “I mean, why would ‘you’ an unbelievably sexy and smart hunter, who could have nearly any female in the herd, even spend a moment thinking about nerdy, little me?”Mal looked baffled. “You actually think I’m too good for you? Me?”“I know what you think of me.”Mal chuckled lowly. “Clearly, you don’t.”“Like everyone else, you think I’m Saint Ariel – the most boring busybody in the whole herd.”Her cheeks heated in embarrassment. She had never openly admitted that she knew what everyone called or thought of her. Her mom and brothers surely knew but never told her lest they hurt her, but wagging tongues could not be stopped.“I don’t think you’re boring, Ariel.” He dropped his arms to his sides and took a step closer to her; her body trembled at his nearness. “And I didn’t kiss you back then because I was grieving, I kissed you because you were a beautiful girl, pressing herself against me and I was attracted to you, and that’s why I’m going to kiss you now.”“Wha…”Her words were swallowed as he covered her mouth with his. He dragged her into his arms, crushing her against him. Ariel moaned at the exquisiteness of his taste, his feel and his scent. Oh, she almost thought she had built it up to be something it wasn’t in her mind, but no, it was even better than she remembered. She wrapped her arms around his neck, fearful of him ending it again too quickly. She wanted this moment to go on and on. Alas, it was not to be…

But I am all cried out now and getting back into the swing of things. So I am very sorry that I haven't replied to any messages sent to me. Truly, I don't mean to ignore you - and I will try to reply to any messages I have received over the past month in the next few days. For now, I decided to finish off a story I started waaaaaay back in November, and it's a new Reindeer Holidays story which is now available to pre-order (releasing next Saturday) from Amazon.I have a number of started stories which I'm trying to finish - but can't specify a date as progress is very slow at the moment. When I get a good idea of when my next story will be ready I will put it up for pre-order too.Anyway, take care and I will be in touch, Elizabeth
