Korean vs Japanese Markers (은/는 vs は, 이/가 vs が) | Korean FAQ

Occasionally I like to make niche videos that I know many people aren't going to watch, but that are still important.

Although my channel is about Korean, there have been a lot of people asking me if the Japanese markers are interchangeable with Korean markers.

This video attempts to answer that question.

Specifically this video will cover the differences between the Korean Topic Markers (은/는) and Subject Markers (이/가) and the Japanese Topic Marker (は) and Subject Marker (が).

Billy Go’s Beginner Korean Course | #91: I Have To

Let's learn how to say "have to" using a new grammar form, that uses some other grammar forms we've already learned.

Remember that all of these lessons go in order, so start from the first one if you're new. They're not made to be jumped around through, as everything (even vocabulary) builds upon the previous lessons. However, it's up to you if you decide to skip around.

The Object Marker (을/를) | Live Class Abridged

This was my most in depth lesson on the Object Marker (을/를) and all of its uses. From the video description:

We learned how it's used with action verbs, how it can't be used with descriptive verbs, and I provided some common descriptive verbs it gets mistakenly used with by beginning learners. We also learned about not using it with verbs showing communication or giving, how it can be dropped in everyday conversations, how to use it with the verb 하다, several common contractions, and talked about the differences between transitive and intransitive verbs. Then we learned how to avoid repetition using multiple object markers, and how to use the object marker to indicate the location of movement (similar to the particle 에). Finally we learned some advanced language terms for the markers in Korean.

자마자 "As soon as" | Live Class Abridged

Last Sunday I did a live Korean class on my YouTube channel about how to say "as soon as."

We learned 3 forms - one for beginners, one for intermediate level, and one for advanced level.

These forms are ~자마자, ~자, and ~기가 무섭다 & ~기가 바쁘게.

I also did a separate live stream previously about another form used to mean "as soon as" (~대로), which you can find on my channel.

Grading GOT7’s Korean – BamBam

Last time we talked about Mark and Jackson, two non-native Korean speakers in the K-pop group GOT7. This week it's BamBam's turn.

In this video I talk about what he does well and how he could improve.

In this series I grade some of your favorite K-pop celebrities who are non-native Korean speakers. This episode features BamBam from the K-pop group “GOT7” or 갓세븐. I’ll grade him on how well he did, how he can improve, and everything between.
