It’s WIP Wednesday!
YIPPEE! It’s #WIP Wednesday! It’s all about Faire Island today. I love this scene between Rod and his sister Barbara. Rod has been trying to get Jen to go out with him and she keeps shooting him down. Insecurities he’s not used to begin to rise to the surface.

WIPWednesday
I read an article about an Island off the coast of Ireland that was doomed unless they came up with a way to repopulate. I don't really remember how they did it but the idea of that happening latched onto my brain. My creative process started to work and over a two year period I could see a series happening.

My almost all male island is off the coast of North Carolina and they need women. Not just any women but women that are single, pretty, and ready to mingle. 😘 At least that's what some of the towns folk are thinking.
.
At a town meeting they decide to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. They have an old inn that was gifted to the town when the couple passed. It's becoming a hinderance and cost too much to maintain so they put it up as bait...I mean as a prize. They circulate the contest and to enter you must fill out a questionnaire and include a picture.

The entries started flooding in and the sorting started by the 90% all male committee. Men that submitted entries were the first given the boot. Married women were next to go into file 13. Women that were too old or too young were sorted into a maybe pile. They whittled the number down to 10 gorgeous marriageable women and the entire town voted on the winner! It was a landslide!

For this week’s #WIPWednesday I want to invite you inside the mind of an author.

I'm happy to report that #GroundsforLove is off to my editor. I'm working on the Behind the Book Stuff now as I reflect on what all craziness went on during this book that put me weeks behind in finishing it. Thanks to @AuthorJeannetteWinters for swinging the whip and keeping me on task. It was touch and go there for awhile. Be sure to read all about it in the back of the book.

I've been learning how to use a new social media scheduling program. I'm sure there's a low learning curve for most but it's been a struggle for me.
.
I went for a much needed massage. I try to go after I finish a book because my neck, shoulders, arms, and back are in knots afterwards. Thank you Les for your magic hands.

I started on a new book! YAY! I love starting new ones and discovering who they are and all their secrets. I worked on the blurb for this one, #FailuretoSeduce. Warning, this book has a twist from the beginning. Yeah, I didn't see it coming either.
.
Big news! I am recovering my beloved Royal Vow series! This is the series that started my writing career. They are getting a new look and spiffed up blurbs. And for the first time they will be offered in paperback! I've had this request for paperback from readers for years so I am happy to make that happen. Be on the lookout for the unveiling of these awesome covers!

Jeannette and I have been cooking up some plans ;) more about those once we iron everything out. We do have a Bingo night planned for March 18th. Check the feed for the form to submit your info to get a virtual Bingo card.

We're puppy sitting for the weekend! Bella and Zoe needed to get up at 5:30 this morning for a lovely walk in the cold winter air. Brrrr. Next time I'll remember a coat. What can I say, I was asleep!

Next week is going to be another busy one. Hopefully I'll be working on revisions for Grounds For Love and getting it off to my Beta readers. Finishing its BTBS and formatting the book. Then it will be off to my ARC team! If you'd like to be on my tightknit group of ARCers message me. I'll be working on Failure To Seduce and getting ready for the release of Grounds For Love on April 1st. Wow, I'm going to be busy next week! The slide down the mountain to release day always is. ❤️
