Brick

My HTC One (M7) turned into a brick today.
It’s factory Settings for you, my lad!
So now I’ve left it downstairs,
To have a word with itself.

Do you think it heard
Me talking excitedly
About the iPhone7
Or the HTC M10
And it’s in a
Blessed
Huff?

Responsibility

The pressures of life don’t intrude from without, they rise from within. They come not from the acts of others but from the way that we react to those acts.

Not to say that all else are blameless but to say that we are the final arbiters in the events of our own lives.

Ah, see now, don’t cry my precious. I have you. You will walk with me again on the golden fields around our beautiful town. The slips in our minds can’t hide the glowing past they tried to steal from us. That lock shall not hold me. Those disapproving faces are my prison no more.

A slight sound woke Harry Bone into another dream. The sun was bright against his closed eyes and s...

Scene One & Two

(SeeFirst 1,064 Words of Rough Draft)

Scene Three

Daisy was bitterly cold when she woke up the next morning. She’d had a very strange night. Flashes of the brightest blue searing the lids of her closed eyes and an almighty headache that kept her tossing and turning all night without relief – her bed feeling alternately soft and then as hard as arock.

Her eyelids seemed to be stuck to her eyeballs. No matter how many times she told her eyelids to open, they would not – they se...

http://futuretechwiki.com

Just had a great idea for a Wikipedia – a database of all the tech that appears in sci-fi stories and an indication of how close we are to the achieving each of these (including those that have already come into effect).

With collaboration and a bit of genius, this could easily end up being the ideal go-to resource for anyone who needs to know what tech to develop next.

Any geeks or nerds out there want in?

Much Thinking – Daisy and Harry

As a result of (way too much) thinking about my next story, and the kind comments of my fellow travelers, I have formulated a plan.

Any (unintentional by them) comedy will be the realm Dr Strangler and Zolt, Daisy will be bright and breezy in outward appearance but I will delve into her mind more to indicate that this is a brittle facade she employs. When she wakes up in Harry’s body were going to see dark and gritty realism (as per A Thrust for a Thrust). When Harry wakes in Daisy’s body we’...

In a shadowy bunker deep within Google UK headquarters, Doctor Strangle hands his assistant, Zolt the flask containing the final version of the next Android smartphone. “Are you sure thatyou are sure which girl you will give this to?”

“Yes, Master – the blonde one coming in to shop every day. Iwork in coffee shop as instructed and also watching herthree months. Very hardjob. She always havecoffee after school.” Zolt did his usual grim-faced, nodding-dog impersonation as he spoke.
