What is the Spiritual Path for Women?
Joseph Campbell was asked if there was a myth of transformation for women. He stated that the process of transformation is an experience. Since he was a man, he was unable to define the experience of individuation for a woman. He further went on to say that a woman, who had experienced individuation, would have to define the female path. What is the path for women?
So, let’s briefly summarize Campbell’s work. Campbell studied the myths from cultures and belief systems from around the world. He found a pattern in all the stories. He named this common pattern The Hero’s Journey. Campbell claimed that this was a mono-myth. The one true path to individuation. The Hero’s Journey is also commonly known as The Warrior’s Path or The Journey of the King. In Jungian terms, it is the emergence and development of the inner feminine within the male psyche.
From a neurological viewpoint, it is the opening and development of the creative centers of the brain in a person who to this point in life processed information mostly through the intellectual centers of the brain. Another way to say it is to say a left-brained person is working to develop the creative capacity in the right-brain.
On the quantum level of the bioelectrical field of the soul, the positive up flowing energy is being pushed to the top of the central pole so that it opens a way for the negative energy to fall into the bioelectrical field. (In imaginative terms, the downward flow of the negative energy within the bioelectrical field is experienced/symbolized as a downward moving stream (Tao) or “The Flood” (Biblical Christian theology).
This is all well and good if everyone was a left-brained intellectual, but that is not the case. What is the spiritual path for those who are right-brained and creative?
There is a standard myth for the creative, right-brained, personality. You will find it in just about every culture. From a neurological viewpoint, it is the opening and development of the intellectual centers of the brain within a person who has processed thinking mostly through the creative centers of the brain. In other words, this is a right-brained person who is working to develop the logical and intellectual capacity within the left-brain.
On the quantum level of the bioelectrical field of the soul, the negative energy is pushed down to the bottom of the central pole until it opens a way for the positive energy to flow upwards into the bioelectrical field. During this experience the energy is felt to conglomerate in the abdominal region of the body. (In imaginary language, this feeling is experienced/symbolized as a pregnancy.)
What is the myth that symbolizes the emergence of the masculine qualities within the feminine psyche? Christianity has the established and most defined version. It is The Nativity. Many cultures contain the myth of the divine male child that is born of a virgin. It is the reason for the cultural preference of the first born male child because this symbolized the individuation of the female psyche. The name of this myth is commonly called The Grail Path. It is also known as The Virgin’s Path or the Path of the Queen.

This explains why the divine child is always male. It was not because of the patriarchal society. It relates to the emergence of the masculine qualities of logic and order within a creative or emotionally based person.
The Taoists and Buddhists share a well-defined myth that explains this path in alchemical terms. It is called “The Secret of the Golden Flower.”
There is no such thing as a mono-myth in my opinion. It cannot be possible because there is not just one way all humans think and process information. Jung himself defined the multiple ways the mind can process information, which Meyers Briggs further defined into the 16 personality types.
Maybe we will later define the 16 different myths that relate to each of the personality types. For now, we have what the ancients would recognize as the twin paths of personal development, one for men and one for women.
Since not all women are creative and not all men are intellectual, I don’t like to assign mythical/spiritual paths by what body parts the person happens to have. I like to define the personality type or whether a person is right-brained or left-brained to assign the mystical/spiritual path.

Approaches to Mysticism
Mysticism is often associated with things like crystals and tarot cards. When you study belief systems throughout time, you find that this is not so. Mysticism is a complicated science of the soul that has two approaches: Enlightenment and Individuation.
The path of Enlightenment is just that, it works to fill the soul with light. This is a Buddhist term that extends well past the Buddhist religion. In medieval times, knights would search for the Holy Grail. So, it was dubbed the Grail Path. It’s the reason for the pregnant Venuses found at Neolithic sites around the world. It’s also the “lost” spiritual path for women. The declaration of this path can be expressed by the Bible verse Isaiah 7:14.
The Enlightenment path is the oldest spiritual path. It comes from the Neolithic age when agriculture was first invented. Agricultural societies worshipped the natural system that brought forth grain and fruit, which today we call pollination. This path works to bring down the water or light, which is the essence of God or Father Sky. This produces a sense of peace to the emotions. The symbology of this spiritual transformation process within the soul of a human uses the metaphor of pregnancy and birth. You will find this symbolism in the Christian Nativity and in the Buddhist text, The Secret of the Golden Flower.
The Path of Individuation requires the death of the ego. It seeks the darkness of universal understanding. Carl Jung coined the term Individuation. Joseph Campbell went on to officially name this path The Hero’s Journey. This spiritual path was traditionally reserved for kings and warriors. In today’s culture, you will find the declaration of this path expressed as the John 3:16 movement.
The Individuation spiritual path can be found in the oldest written text, The Epic of Gilgamesh. This path works to bring up the fire, also known as the Divine Feminine, within the soul. This cleanses the soul of impurities and brings forth love and compassion. The symbology of this spiritual transformation process uses the metaphor of crucifixion or a complete loss followed by a full renewal. You will find this symbolism in the Old Testament Book of Job, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Christian Crucifixion.
Why is it important to understand that there are two different approaches to mysticism? The reason is that if you want to reach the highest levels of spiritual transformation you must choose the path that coordinates with your mental and psychological makeup. If you choose the path that goes against the grain of the way your mind operates, then you put yourself in danger of causing psychological injury or permanent insanity.

May you find the path that allows you to reach your highest spiritual potential,

What is Mysticism?
Many believe that mysticism is a rare talent that requires one to be born with certain characteristics and predispositions. Modern science is now proving that this is not so. The advances in the fields of psychology and neurology are finding that anyone can become a mystic and, with deliberate work, reach the mystical states of consciousness.
Mysticism requires that you create your own path. No longer is the dogma of a particular religion required. However, the practices of the different religions are used to create the mystical journey.
The mystical path is one of inner exploration. This path can be a solitary DIY, or it can make use of a spiritual guide or guru. This is one of the many personal choices of the practicing mystic. Part of the job of the mystic is to discover which doctrines and practices move you to a higher plane of consciousness and which impede your growth.
To mystics, rituals and practices are meant to trigger internal insight and transformation, not to appease a higher power. Mystics know that personal growth toward the universe’s ultimate plan comes from within each person. It cannot be dictated or ordered by a one-size fits all set of doctrines or principles. Each person is unique and needs a unique plan.
The spiritual reality that mystics refer to is a higher consciousness that includes everything and permeates everything. It can be personal, like a loving God or savior. Or, it can be impersonal, like an energy force that surrounds us all.
Mysticism is an experience that is most often related to God or the divine. It is a belief that union with the universal absolute may be attained through contemplation or self-surrender. Every religion and belief system uses the mystical experiences of its founder as the basis for tradition, spiritual rites and practices, ideology, and theology. The assumption that everyone has the same tendencies and issues that the founder of that religion faced, is the greatest flaw of organized religion.
There is no mystery to mysticism. There is an underlying set of principles that is universal to all religions and belief systems. The ideology and theology of each religion is based around one or more of the universal principles. No religion contains all the universal principles. Mysticism contains all the religions and thus incorporates all the principles. By putting all the religions together, we can see the universal structure of spirituality. Mysticism takes the list of practices that come from every spiritual system and creates a personalized system of exercises that puts the practitioner into a spiritual state of union with the ultimate reality.
The attainment of personal transformation and insight into the ultimate reality takes place when the spiritual exercises that harmonize your unique mental, emotional and psychological makeup are consistently performed.
So, if performing spiritual practices raises your consciousness to the point where you experience mystical union or direct communion with the ultimate reality, which practice is the best? It all depends upon your mental, psychological, and physical makeup. You will find the complete list of universal principles in The Basics of Mysticism: Defining the Six Facets of Spiritual Development.
May you find your unique path to wholeness.

The Rosetta Stone of Spiritual Belief
Is there a way to bring religion into alignment with current scientific understandings? There are many who believe that religion is just a bunch of “fairytales” that are causing strife in our world. There are many who want to abolish religion and move to a logical and scientific world.
What if I told you that religion is an advanced science? Ancient cultures did not have scientific specialties. The spiritual texts contain a science that encompasses psychology, neurology, and physics. Mysticism is the science of managing and transforming the bioelectrical field of the soul.
We need a Rosetta Stone to break the code to what the ancient peoples believed. Lets use the understanding of neurological pathways, the physics of bioelectrical fields, and Jungian theory to unravel the mystery of religion.
Neurological theory states:
The brain operates through a system of neurons that send electrical signals.
The brain operates by sending signals through designated pathways.
There is a creative pathway (right-brained) and an intellectual pathway (left-brain).
We naturally favor one pathway or the other.
The way to highest brain functioning requires training the weaker brain pathway so that there is a balance of thought.
Physics of the Bioelectrical Field theory states:
There are two energies required to create an electrical field.
The levels of the two energies determine the frequency of the overall field.
The frequency of the overall field affects the electrical signals within the brain.
The way to optimize the bioelectrical field is to balance the two energies.
Jungian theory states:
Everyone has masculine (animus) and feminine (anima) qualities within their psyche.
We naturally favor either our animus or our anima
Individuation is the uniting or bringing forth the opposite qualities.
The journey of transformation is at the mystical heart of all religions.
Jung outlines the mystical journey where the animus unites with the anima. Joseph Campbell named this path The Hero’s Journey.
Jung admits that there is a mystical path where the anima finds the animus. He never takes this idea any further. Joseph Campbell also is at a loss as to what this spiritual path might entail.
(The spiritual path for women has been found. Virgin Birth is the story of the emergence of the animus within the female psyche. I have called it The Grail Path. You will find this path depicted in the pregnant Neolithic Goddess statues, in the story of the Christian Nativity, and in The Secret of the Golden Flower, which is a Buddhist/Taoist alchemical tale.)
It seems that these three scientific fields have very similar precepts. It is Jung that connected these precepts to religion. What is different about religion is that each religion takes a side. Like Jung and Campbell, each religion fully defines one or the other of the two possible paths to wholeness, or holiness, and calls this the only way to God.
The spiritual texts, which the atheists proclaim to be ‘fairytales,’ are actually explaining concepts of neurology, physics, and psychology in metaphorical terms. Spiritual practices are designed to strengthen one or the other energy or brain pathway. They were also created to alleviate a specific issue. That means there cannot be one religion that fits all. Here is the why there are so many religions.
The way to bring religion into alignment with current science is to understand that each person needs to find the religion that is best suited to develop the weaker element of mind or spirit. When this happens, religion will become a science that will benefit everyone.

The Physics of the Holy Grail
Many have searched for the Holy Grail, but very few have ever found it. When we dig down into the depths of the mystery we find that the symbol of the Holy Grail is actually a spiritual path. This is the meaning of the Holy Grail.
The Grail Path is the spiritual path that was designed specifically for women. This path leads to the Virgin Birth of the Divine Child.
What about the knights who went in search of the Holy Grail? Only men who had fully completed the Hero’s Journey were allowed to follow this path. That way they did not experience the horrors of mixing spiritual paths.
Come watch as the spiritual energy of Water creates the Holy Grail.
